Gralo is the main antagonist of the Deviantart My little Pony Friendship is Magic comic The Night the Magic Died. He is an evil Krassau, a species of powerful magical parrot creatures. He has the ability to suck magic and liveliness out of other things, which leaves lifelessness behind. He initially appears possessing the body of Garret, a griffon wizard who he then impersonates.
Nahmat tried to hunt him down due to the fact that he committed 61 accounts of mayhem and 38 murders and fled to Equestria to escape punishment. Not everyone believes in his existence, because Princess Celestia never heard about him, and told everyone that Gralo is a myth. But he was proven to be real after Twilight and her friends saw him emerge from Garret then drain him of life.
He drained away the magic of Equestria after this, leaving the world dark. He entered a more powerful form through the magic he consumed. He was confronted by Nahmat, who told Gralo to return the magic he stole, but he brushed this off. Nahmat later appears to Gralo again, which he tries to break her, but fails as Celestia and Luna confront Gralo. The Princesses fight and defeat Gralo, causing him to lose the magic he had consumed, allowing it to return to Equestria and everyone who had been drained of life.
After this, Gralo is attacked by Nahmat and the Krassau Elder Chief Carthernax appears to bring Gralo his punishment where he is eternally banished to a void where he will suffer, as death was considered too light a punishment for him. Gralo tries to justify himself with his belief that his species is superior to all others, but this excuse didn't work. In his last moments before being sealed away, he tries to turn Celestia and Luna against Nahmat out of spite but fails.
