Gregory Afton

Gregory Afton, more commonly known as the Child is a major antagonist in An Undeniably Canon Five Nights at Freddy's Timeline, acting as one of the two overarching antagonists of Part 1 and 2 (alongside Ferdinand Von Bernard), and revived at the end of Part 3

He is an enigmatic entity who appears to be the youngest (and most terrible) of the Afton Family, but eventually reveals to Michael that he never existed.

Personality[]

In comparison to his video-game counterpart, the Child is an intelligent and manipulative child who enjoys messing with others. Despite being a kid, the Child was highly intelligent and competent, finding Michael's constant bullying to be weird rather than scary. He is also very murderous, like other Aftons, and even murdered Trevor the Cashier for offering a dentist's office. While his killing of Harold was accidental, he didn't seem to care.

However, he does have some form of cowardice, particularly finding smoking to be terrifying and being somewhat scared of the animatronics.

History[]

In 1983, after William regained custody of the Crying Child and his "sib lings", the Child wondered around William and Henry's pizzeria and came upon Fredbear smoking a cigar. Fredbear's nonchalance about his respiratory health terrified the child, causing him to run away. While running, he ran over Harold the Janitor's foot while he was wearing a Spring-Bonnie suit, causing it to spring-lock Harold to death. Undisturbed by this, he then left and challenged Michael to a game of UNO, only to cheat and cause Michael to lose. Angry at this, Michael donned a Foxy mask and began screeching at the Child to scare him. Undisturbed and deciding to humor Michael's pitiful attempts at revenge, faked crying.

Later, the Child decided to face his fears and walked into the pizzeria, only to be met with Trevor the Cashier in a Fredbear suit advertising a dentist's office. This caused the child to run into the suit and set off the spring-locks to kill Trevor. Feeling proud about this, the Child ran home and happily told his Fredbear plushie everything. After this, Michael and his UNO buddies burst in and brought the child to the Pizzeria and put his head in Fredbear's mouth. Luckily, Fredbear's teeth were rubber, and he came out unscathed. Angered by Michael's action nearly killing him, the Child threatened to "do the job again", which scared Jeremy (one of Michael's friends) into hitting him with a chair and knocking him out.

The Child is sent to the hospital, where he wakes up and tells Michael that he never existed before fusing with him. After his "death", Fredbear was framed for biting the child and the pizzeria was shut down.

Trivia[]

Although it's stated that he never existed, William was shown spying on him and multiple people saw him get bitten by Fredbear.
Despite not existing, he ironically looks the most like William and Eleanor, mainly with his head shape and features.
It's implied in the Behind The Scenes that he doesn't like Cassidy.
