Grimbo is a villainous protagonist created and owned by Twitter user Cherribun.
Named after an alias given to the Vs. Sonic.Exe version of Xenophanes' sprites in the Round 2.5–4.0 updates, Grimbo is an entity that resembles the Vs. Sonic.Exe incarnation of Xenophanes, and the one who makes an appearance at anything Sonic.Exe-related when Cherribun draws him in her art style.
He is also a former user on Twitter, when his creator allowed him to have access to her old Twitter account.
Appearance[]
This interpretation of the character is much closer to Classic Sonic in terms of design, being much shorter than other EXEs. Grimbo's design is also taken directly from Sonic.Exe's current design from Too Slow. To quote from the OG character page of Xeno, "His fur is darker, and his arms seem to be "softer", and he smiles abnormally with his mouth being totally dark. The main characteristic of Grimbo is his black eyes with small reddish glowing pupils, and his eye sockets secrete slightly pink blood from his lower eyelids, resulting in a permanent mark on his face. Occasionally, Grimbo is depicted being slimmer or flatter to differentiate it from regular Sonic."
Sometimes, Grimbo is wearing the two, for some reason untouched tails of Soul Tails as a scarf.
Personality[]
In contrast to the original Xenophanes, who was a sadistic and cruel monster that possesses an instinctive lust for destruction and pain. Grimbo isn’t cruel or sadistic than his original counterpart, instead, he’s a mild-mannered, obnoxious and goofy person, who also seems to appreciate both his friend Knuckles and others.
Despite this, all of his friends (barring Knuckles and Cherribun) see him as annoying, due to how blabbering and annoying he is to them. Additionally, despite his cynical and goofy character, he is also short-tempered, easily getting mad and frustrated at anyone that comes around him, especially at Boyfriend.

Cherribun is Grimbo's "mother". Although they rarely hang out with each other, Grimbo is shown to have a strong relationship with her. He also seems to appreciate the chicken nuggets she feeds him.

Grimbo sees Boyfriend as another "victim" to slaughter and battles him purely out of his love of "playing" with his victims, however after losing to him in the rap battle, Grimbo tries to chase him down before running away into a forest.

Vs. Sonic.exe[]
Grimbo appears in Friday Night Funkin mod Vs. Sonic.Exe, being the main opponent of Too Slow (Encore) and would’ve been the playable character in the scrapped song Slaybells.

Trivia[]
- His favorite food is chicken nuggets, even his creator feeds him them.
- Grimbo's version of Tails is known as Timothy, who is seen as a black Tails with his namesake ripped, and he wears a blue tie and has no mouth.
- If Grimbo was to be complimented in any way at any level, he instantly starts attaching himself emotionally to the culprit.
- This is due to not being complimented many times because all of his victims view him as annoying.
- Much like his basis, Grimbo is capable of forming light purple crystals at the end of his quills, but he can't keep them any longer, and they hurt a bit.
- There was a long theory that Grimbo had two mothers, those being his creator Cherribun and her girlfriend Noelle. However, despite what it seems, Cherribun officially confirmed that this isn't true in late December 2023, as it was the wiki taking her jokes too far.
- He canonically knows about the wiki called Funkipedia Mods, and has gone out of their way to correct them for calling him a "Joke Character."
- That statement seriously gets to him.
- Grimbo mostly speaks in captial letters, as proven by all of his X posts.
- The original Sonic.Exe had no given gender, and was only referred to as a male. Grimbo however, is a cisgender male.
