Happy Appy is the titular main antagonist of Creepypasta of the same name and the secondary antagonist of its sequel Happy Appy 2: Dumb Angel.

A villainous protagonist of fictional lost Noggin 1999 Television show of the same name, Happy Appy is an anthropomorphic claymation apple who helps wounded children on a playground. However, as the show progresses, Happy Appy becomes increasingly more violent, often staring at the audience with a deranged smile, and even graphically murdering children. After the 8th episode of the first season shows the World Trade Center towers getting hit with plane, predicting 9/11 by two years, Happy Appy was banned from Nickelodeon and was never shown again, only for the show's insane director Freddrick Gorgote (Forenzik) to secretly film new season's episodes at his house, making low-quality snuff films in the process as he murdered the first season's crew over the years.

In-universe, he was voiced by the late Blair Meyes in season 1. After Meyes' death at Forenzik's hands, Lloyd Myers replaced him as the voice actor for Happy Appy in season 3 of the show, with season 2 voice actor remaining unknown. In season 4, he was voiced by Jeremy Elbertson.

Design[]

In standard episodes, Happy Appy is portrayed as a child-sized, red claymation apple with face consisting of prominent green lips, baby-blue eyes with pupils, and stem with artificial leaf, which is sometimes described as having "mouth" with bloody teeth inside. He has one pair of arms with no fingers, save for one thumb on each hand. Instead of legs, Happy is held by a rusty, bent stick, which a biological part of his body. Depending on the episodes, Happy Appy is sometimes portrayed as having malleable anatomy, sometimes having physiology of an animal with bones, blood and skin.

In "Happy's Parlor", Happy was said to have legs during a stop motion sequence.

In the original production reel in Dumb Angel, Happy Appy possesses white eyes with pupils, an actual legs with feet instead of stick, no leaf on stem, as well as slightly darker and duller shade of red skin color.

Personality[]

Initially, in the first episodes of season one, Happy Appy is shown to be a caring, compassionate, friendly, pacifistic, and polite towards children, frequently healing them by using bandages whenever they are hurt or injured, as well as giving an advice to the audience. He would also sometimes help other people, as he once disguised himself as Aaron Apple to help Flying Apples with trapeze act at the Banana Brothers' circus. However, starting with episode 7, Happy Appy became violent, homicidal, cruel, and relentless with his murders, often using his popularity amongst children to lure them into a trap, where he would joyfully kill them off-screen with various tools, namely a rusty knife. His victims were not limited to children, as he would sometimes kill the adults, such as Danny's mother June, or animals and other claymation fruits like Oranges.

Happy Appy was very secretive about his murders, killing anyone who knew or revealed it, as well as any possible witnesses. This was particularly evident in The Happy Appy Movie, where after being shot at by police officers, Happy Appy murders nearby children after the cops leave, despite helping them moments prior. He also went after Oranges upon realizing they knew about him when they run away from him, breaking into their house in the middle of the night and peeling their skin, before crushing them in vise. He also murdered the entire beach of children after they touched one of his victims, Miranda. Sometimes, Happy Appy would reveal his secret to the victims for seemingly no reason, as seen in fake Happy Appy TV movie, where he (disguised as the girl's father) sarcastically talked about how a horrible person he was to a girl with her mother, before revealing himself and stabbing the both of them to death.

Happy Appy had an arch-nemesis rivalry with Danny, a young boy and the only person he could never kill, no matter how hard he tried, despite their numerous encounters. After initially failing to kill the boy in The Happy Appy Movie, an apple would murder his mother June, his sister Miranda, his father, and his girlfriend Jenny. Appy's inability to kill the boy even caused him to have a nervous breakdown in Nuxik, which resulted in him ranting to the camera for five minutes at how he could never have his way. During their final encounter in Happy Rots in Hell, Happy Appy would lose interest in Abigail, only to go after Danny in a vain in a attempt to kill him.

Resurrection: Happy Appy is seemingly immortal, being able to come back from death every time he receives mortal wounds. For example, after having his arm ripped off and body deeply burn in a car accident in false TV movie, Happy Appy became a zombie decade later, still with his wounds.
- Regeneration: He also appears to be capable of limited regeneration, as he always returns in another episode, completely unharmed. In The Happy Appy Movie, Happy is shot to death by the police, only to be instantly resurrected once they leave. In the original version of the creepypasta, Happy Appy was even shown to reform his entire body after being shot and burn to crisp by a heavy assault from police, using revolvers, pistols and even flamethrowers.
- Multiple bodies: Happy Appy appears to be capable of transferring his consciousness to recreated bodies to indefinite degree. After being crushed alongside his van in the second part of the film, another Happy appears behind Danny and June, mocking them for their naivety.
Irregular physiology: Being an animated claymation apple, Happy Appy's body is malleable, allowing people to reform him back to his prime shape. In "Napoleon, the Big Help", Happy is melted alive after Danny sets him on fire, before being repaired in "Nuxik/Happy Goes Bonkers" by unnamed girl. Bizarrely, Happy Appy also has skin like an actual apple, as it peels off in "Happy the Doctor", revealing a rotten apple core.
Enhanced biology: Despite his preference to kill children using weapons, Happy Appy possesses enhanced strength and speed. He was able to kill a large bully with his bare hands in "Happy the Pirate", slamming him against the walls, lockers, and the door, damaging the latter in the process, before breaking the bully's neck and covering the entire room in his blood, organs, and bones. He was also capable of dodging bullets from shotgun while carrying chainsaw in "Happy Rots in Hell".
Wall scaling: As demonstrated in Happy and the Oranges, Happy Appy is able to scale walls and ceilings.
Seizure/Death inducement: Over the course of various episodes, several characters who killed Happy Appy experienced different aftershock effects. For example, after eating him in alternative version Happy and the Blackberry, Derry Berry exploded. In Happy and the Demolition Derby, after being run over by Danny, a child who mourns Happy suddenly has a seizure, letting out the same screech as apple did prior to his death.

Happy Appy was created by Dronian, inspired by the original ROBLOX thread, the original version posted on the Creepypasta Wiki was uploaded on 28th February 2011.
Happy Appy predicted several events in the history, such as 9/11, the SS Columbia disaster, the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, the Libyan riots and as well as Chris Benoit's murders and suicide.
Happy Appy is heavily associated with Napoleon XIV's "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" and Beatles' reversed "Revolution 9", which is used in both stories.
Happy Appy as a show was originally meant to be a parody of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, named Attack of the Killer Apples.
