Hastur is the main antagonist of Loud House: King in Yellow, the second entry in the Revival duology consisting of a crossover between The Loud House and the Cthulhu Mythos. He is the archenemy of the Great Priest Cthulhu.

Biography[]

Revival[]

Originally imprisoned on Planet Carcosa, Hastur was temporarily released from his imprisonment when Maya Lottie enacted the apocalypse. Before he could kill his half-brother Cthulhu, Patrick Stark's quick actions vaporize Nyarlathotep and seals Yog-Sothoth back behind its wall of time and space with Hastur propelled back to his planet.

King in Yellow[]

A few months after the events of Maya Lottie's scheme, Hastur arrives to Royal Woods alongside Yog-Sothoth and immediately transforms the night guard at the Royal Woods mall into a scaly, bloated abomination subservient to him. He then resolves to regain his strength by biding his time in the mall transforming as many people using his Yellow Sign and driving others mad by revealing parts of his true form.

With Yog-Sothoth thwarting his attempts of killing his niece thwarted, the All-In-One subjects a reincarnated Cthulhu to harsh training to prepare him in his upcoming battle with Hastur. While pondering on how he could rule the world, Hastur employs Dr. Moist in assisting him in his plans in return providing him with endless test subjects to perfect his Elder Thing serum on. However, he also enchants the Elder Thing with a curse: should he reveal that he was his master, he would be killed.

Dr. Moist kidnaps Lisa Loud and steals her device that she intended to display at a science fair. When she meets with the King in Yellow, Hastur removes his mask and drives Lisa to a catatonic state to get her compliance.

With the telecommunication device completed, Hastur transmits his Yellow Sign throughout the world causing sparks of violence as the populace transform into his abominations. The Great Old One also ensured that Mia Stark, Patrick's adopted daughter and the spawn of the Crawling Chaos, was in place for the next part of his plan. Forcing her onto another machine, Hastur uses the young girl as a mediator to summon the Outer Gods into the earthly realm. He would then eat them and absorb their powers becoming an Outer God himself and warp reality as he saw fit.

Cthulhu arrives to the mall alongside Yog-Sothoth and the Loud family and the two half-brothers engage in a brawl that threatened to cause the building to cave in and crush everyone. After a long, drawn out battle, Cthulhu reaches into Hastur's scalp and flips it backwards (an allusion to the humane way of killing cephalopods). Hastur's body melts into goo finally ending his threat.
