Hattan is the main antagonist of TV anime and manga John's Adventure. It is an eldritch deity that is the personification of sadness and sorrow. It is incomprehensible by mortals, and its goal is to destroy all planets and lifeforms.
History[]
Before the beginning of time, Hattan was one of the first beings in the universe to ever exist. It was completely emotionless, and then it gave itself emotions by killing every single god, including Mohok, creator of reality and the entire universe. It absorbed all of Mohok's powers, and became an omnipotent being. It became the ruler of the Milky Way Galaxy and it created Lumol, a being of pure energy who created all life. However, Lumol betrayed Hattan with the intent of creating all life and protecting the universe. Hattan attempted to kill Lumol. However, Lumol sealed him inside the Cosmic Coffin and brought an end to its reign of terror.
One quintillion years later, a 5-year old boy found the Cosmic Coffin and broke the seal, causing Hattan to gain its own freedom. It transformed into a bald guy, and killed both of the boy's parents. Then it possessed and took control of the boy's body, and it completely merged itself with the boy eight months later. The boy became the evil sorcerer Morlock. Morlock killed the president of Canada and became the new president of the country, and declared war against the United States. As a result, a Canadian soldier killed both of John's parents, thus resulting in John starting his own adventure and starting the series as a whole.
Personality[]
Hattan is an arrogant and heartless being, who enjoys causing despair, mayhem and destruction. It is an egotistical sadistic psychopath, who doesn't care about anything. It is also a nihilist, who hates and jealous of everything. It hates everyone, and it is truly a force to be reckoned with. It has a strong desire for destroying all planets and life-forms. It is incapable of doing anything good, and it is an incomprehensible celestial being that thinks that friendship, kindness, and being good are an irredeemable sin. It hates mortals because mortals cannot comprehend it.

- Hattan is the most evil and darkest villain in the John's Adventure franchise, even more than Morlock. (John's arch-nemesis and the one who served as the primary antagonist before Hattan took over the role)
- Hattan is considered the Greater-Scope Villain of the series, being responsible for everything that happens in the John's Adventure franchise. His actions led to Steve's corruption and transformation into the evil sorcerer Morlock, thus resulting in the Canadian-American war, which both led to the murder of John's parents and John's adventure.
- There is an even Greater-Scope villain than Hattan, who is Mohok, who created the universe as his "toys", and is indirectly responsible for Hattan's corruption.
- Hattan inspired Herrscher of the Void, a major villain from the 2016 mobile game Honkai Impact 3rd.
- Unlike Herrscher of the Void who takes control of Kiana and doesn't fight her, Hattan fought John twice. In the first battle, John lost to Hattan. However, in the second battle, John wins by becoming a godlike being by absorbing all lifeforms in the universe and firing an immensely powerful blast.
