Biography[]
Past Life[]
Not much is known about Brine's life before his death. What is made clear, is that he was a construction worker, before getting a job as a miner. He was well liked by his fellow miners, but had a rather heated rivalry with Markus Persson, who was intending on proposing to a woman Brine thought was beautiful. Much to Brine's anger Markus and the woman became engaged later on that day. Along with this, his pet wolf, Bones, was found dead due to being killed by a skeleton. Bones was Brine's best friend, and he had entrusted Markus to watch over him. This sent Brine over the edge. He managed to track Markus down, and attacked him. Markus ran to the top of a mountain. Brine followed him. Brine managed to shove him off the tip of the mountain, causing him to fall to his death. The whole scene was witnessed by Markus's brother, Notch. later on that day, Brine was riding a minecart, on a rickety bride, hovering over a pool of lava. Notch threw a creeper onto the other end of the bridge. As Brine approached, the creeper exploded. The minecart flew into the pool of lava. Looking up, Brine saw Notch watching from afar. Brine was able to crawl off to land. The bottom half of him was terribly burned. He was bleeding out at a accelerated rate. He managed to find a large stack of TNT. He lit the TNT and threw the stack into the mine, where the rest of the miners where working. This killed at least 30 miners and injured the rest. After this, Brine fell to the ground and bled out.
Resurrection[]
Not long after, Brine was resurrected. He was now a complete and total monster, having his small part of humanity killed. His rage and bitterness drove him insane. He was now cruel and sadistic. He found enjoyment out of causing destruction around him. He also discovered that he had several newfound abilities. He was capable of much more than he was originally. He also discovered that he gained power from the pain of others. Anyone who arrived at his island, unknowingly became his prey. He became very powerful off of his victims.
Minecraft: The First Arrival[]
Brine is not a primary antagonist of the prequal, Minecraft: The First Arrival, rather he is seen twice. Once, when Matt, the protagonist, walks in on him looting a Testificate chest. More importantly, we see Brine drag Reaper down into a chamber filled with zombies and leave him to die, shouting "GAME OVER!" as he slams the door.
Minecraft: The Forgotten Village[]
Discovering Steve[]
When he found that two new crafters had arrived at the island. He was already planning on how he would kill Alex, but Steve was different. He saw himself in him, which was something he hadn't felt for a very long time. He soon thought about all the power Steve could possibly harness. He stalked Steve over the course of several days. Silently stalking. He soon began to act. He destroyed several of Steve's buildings, and stole his things. All to get his attention. Soon Steve decided to track down Brine.
Death[]
Brine decided that the best way to get Steve to come after him, was to attack something personal. He got all of his best torches and burned down the Testificate village that Steve had been hanging out at. This got Steve to track him down at the very mineshaft that Brine died at. Brine and Steve fought for a while, until Steve was finally able to splash Brine with a bottle of Mob Repellant. This caused Brine to melt into the ground. He was soon nothing more than a puddle. Brine had been successfully stopped.
Personality[]
As mentioned before, Brine was always a very selfish young man, with little regard for the safety and well-being of others. He always saw himself as superior. He was also very envious of other people. Most of all, he had a potentially deadly dark side. He was quick to destructive violence. After his resurrection, Brine became a cruel and sadistic monster. He now enjoyed causing destruction. He thrived off the pain of others. He became a figure of pure evil.
Appearance[]
As a human, Brine looked almost identical to Steve. The only real differences where his eyes, which where red, unlike Steve. He was also taller. After his resurrection, he now looked pale. Most of all, he now had completely white glowing eyes. Brine also had several small burns on his arms and legs, due to his previous accident. In his dying moments, his eyes flickered black.
