Herr Zaal is a major antagonist in the Multiversal Legends universe. He is a biomechanical monstrosity created by Xuriah D'arcmast'r specifically to kill Enhancers and other creatures should they have any sort of superpower or magical beings. He acts as a recurring foe for the Champions, including the reaper Ben Diablo and the wizard Master Mueller.
History[]
This mechanical monstrosity was made for the soul purpose of eradicating all Enhancers and those who possessed any sort of supernatural abilities like superpowers and magical abilities. Created by the vicious evil mastermind named Xuriah D'arcmast'r who saw the Enhancers as "filth", genetically inferior copies of himself so he created Herr Zaal to vent his hatred on them. Xuriah would put the creature through horrible experiments and mental torture for excruciating long periods in order to train it to hate Enhancers.
Xuriah later sent the creature in Earth, for centuries Herr Zaal went on a killing spree murdering Enhancers by the truckloads, building mountains of deceased bodies of these beings. He eventually encountered Earth's protector, who act the time was Xuriah's arch-foe, which Zaal attempt to kill. He defeated along with his master, and was put to sleep while its master retreated, a abandoning his own creation.
Years later, Xuriah later returns and awaken his ultimate instrument of mass destruction to continue his genocidal crusade on the Earth. Herr Zaal would become a recurring foe for Ben Diablo and later the Champions, causing destruction whenever it is unleashed onto the world.
Personality[]
Herr Zaal is a destructive, vicious, and deadly creature who causes mass death and carnage in his wake. However, Herr Zaal is not a mindless creature; Zaal is capable of human intelligence and sapience, though he is incapable of speech he can however show emotions and gestures including facial expressions. He laughs at the face of danger as well as mock his enemies when he aim for the kill or when the hero fails to defeat it. He is also a hateful, and vengeful creature with immense hatred of anything that has any superpowers, minus his own creator.
He is loyal to Xuriah, never once disobeying his orders, even at the presence of other superpowered beings and can show some restraint. The only time he disobeys is when he is ordered to attack normal bystanders as he was never program to attack any, including animals that pose no threat to his Master. However, Zaal's loyalty to Xuriah would soon shatter when Ben reminds him that his own master has abilities himself which force Zaal to try to kill his own maker. He remembered that it was Xuriah who tortured him to kill and hate Enhancers making him hate Xuriah as a result. He is also capable of writing and reading to add to his own intelligence, and can understand any language human or otherwise.
His does have a sense of honor, genuinely respecting his opponent and prey if they managed to survive and/or beat it. Zaal also shows some kindness to those that show kindness to him, and is capable of being friendly to those that isn't his enemy or should they be his ally. He does show care and kindness to one of Xuriah's clones, being playful with him and also viciously protective to him. Zaal is also somewhat cunning, strategic, capable of planning tactics to hunt his prey and waiting long periods of time to attacks his target.
After his defeated Xuriah, he showed a more noble side and stopped his hunt for Enhancers and decided to live his own life by himself and perhaps hid only friend. He showed no ill will to the heroes or any Enhancers no more.
Powers and Abilities.[]
- Superhuman abilities: it possesses superhuman strength capable of demolishing buildings, breaking through walls regardless how tough it is or how strong the material can be unless enchanted or the material possesses nanites. It also has speed, fast enough to outrun an average speedster enhancer should one attempt to escape it.
- Lasers: it can blast lasers from it's eyes that can pierce through enhanced armory, impenetrable skin, or demolish tanks or other mech or vehicle.
- Sizeshifting: it can morph to an adorable little animal to a gigantic monster of pure destruction on a whim.
- Acid and fire breath: Zaal can shoot acid from it's mouth that can melt through raw metal, armor, weapons, etc. It can also shoot fire balls with the blade being compared to a powerful bomb that detonated.
- Regeneration: It is quick to regenerate from any damage as long as a piece of it is left or is reborn in Xuriah's lab. It can survive a nuclear blast or a blast from a atomic weapon or a world destroying weapon.
