Ignited Golden Freddy is the overarching of The Joy of Creation: Story Mode.

Appearance[]

Ignited Golden Freddy is almost identical in appearance to Ignited Freddy, except his suit has a dirty gold texture and his pupils are missing, only leaving empty, black eye sockets.

Bedroom[]

During Michael's call, the player can see Ignited Golden Freddy if they hold the curtains closed for a certain amount of time, and then opening them again. During the game, he can also appear over the player's head when the player loses their sanity, leading to a "Come Back" cutscene if the level is not completed in time.

Living Room[]

He appears as an Easter Egg. He appears if the player peeks through the keyhole (where Ignited Bonnie approaches from) when Michael mentions this.

Office[]

He appears again as an Easter Egg. If the player opens the middle doors during any of Scott's recorded messages about the animatronics, Ignited Golden Freddy will appear in the place of Ignited Freddy, then emits his classic childish laugh before disappearing.

Basement[]

Ignited Golden Freddy serves as the deuteragonist of the Basement, guiding Michael to complete the necessary tasks required for the spirits to be released into the physical realm, kicking off the events of the Bedroom. Aside from the instructions on the monitor, he makes a presence twice throughout the level, appearing the first time to prevent Michael's escape in 06. The second time, once Michael opens the door in 02, Ignited Golden Freddy then personally takes the door away, forcing Michael to return back to the bathroom before the final phase. Upon Michael completing 05 and 04, as well as making it to the halfway point in 03, he also laughs as the lights in the basement turn on to signify having moved further into reality.

Attic[]

Ignited Golden Freddy is the secondary antagonist in the Attic, now being a threat for the first time. The player must flash him twelve times in the cameras before Creation can reach them. He will appear on random cameras, being more hidden away from sight in the Office and Bedroom. He can also appear behind the player, now as a giant disembodied head, where he will cause the player to hallucinate when they're staring at him. Staring at him for too long will cause a jumpscare. Once the player turns around, he will disappear. The plushie on the desk as well as his disembodied head will begin glitching as the player flashes him on the cameras, and a fire will start rising from the basement until it reaches the attic.

History[]

Compared to the other antagonists of the game, Ignited Golden Freddy is given the most depth, being Michael's partner-in-crime. During the beginning of the timeline of The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, he happened upon Michael in the spirit realm, as in the basement, and requested that he release the doppelgängers from the spirit realm into the real world, while Michael was required to avoid the incomplete Fallen Endoskeletons, since they possessed murderous intent due to their instability, having failed to complete themselves and make it to the real world. He told Michael that, in exchange for giving The Ignited a form to roam the real world, Michael would be able to take on a physical form and replace Scott Cawthon as the Cawthon family man. Eventually, Michael would succeed, allowing The Ignited to roam the real world and for Michael to escape, albeit unconscious, outside of the basement door, first being found by Nick Cawthon, allowing him to then stay in the Cawthon family house as a real guest.

While behind the scenes, Ignited Golden Freddy would send The Ignited to attack the Cawthon family besides Scott himself, since he had no intent to leave them alone and only wished to murder. Of course, this ended up failing, and The Ignited ended up becoming unstable due to their collective defenses against the paranormal group. To compensate, the main four offensive members of The Ignited returned to the spirit realm and came out as Creation, with Ignited Golden Freddy entrapping Scott Cawthon in their realm in the process. Michael left Ignited Golden Freddy to send Creation over to Scott Cawthon, while, for some apparent reason, The Fallen attacked along with them. Scott eventually defeated Ignited Golden Freddy by flashing him with the breaker lever in the attic 12 times over, causing him to fade and the attacks to end. In the process, he set the house on fire, which was eventually revealed to Scott the more Ignited Golden Freddy was destroyed. With Scott incapacitated by falling debris from the fire, Michael confronted him and personally possessed him, allowing him to take on a physical form as Scott Cawthon and live with a family as desired. This did not end up as planned anyway, however, as Michael had lost the family's faith due to failing to maintain the illusion of Scott's personality. Meanwhile, after Nick was carried outside following the first attack, Ignited Golden Freddy plotted his revenge. Over the coming years, he would tell Nick Cawthon to return to the house in which the incident occurred. Eventually, Nick would take the bait and return inside, reminiscing about the events that occurred in the past. By the time he reached the attic, Ignited Golden Freddy confronted him again and proceeded to successfully kill Nick after exploring the entirety of the renovated house as he was calling the landlord, Tobias, a second time. Completing the deed, he returned back into the forest and never returned to the house again.

Trivia[]

Golden Freddy's jumpscare highly resembles his jumpscare from the original game, both having a close-up of their faces followed with a low-pitched version of the jumpscare sound effect.
If you find Golden Freddy in a camera, then proceed to honk the plushie's nose 10 times, a newspaper will appear on its face, which is the secret newspaper from the Attic, which says "COME BACK TO US, NICK".
Most of Ignited Golden Freddy's secret appearances will give the player the secret newspaper from the respective level.
