Indigo (Among Us Animation)

Indigo is an antagonist of the animated YouTube series Among Us Animation created by Rodamrix, serving as a Main Antagonist of Season 2 alongside Dr. White.

They are a giant Impostor who was a former Crewmate, having transformed into a parasitic Impostor during the Mira HQ Incident and has taken the role as leader of the Impostors residing in Mira HQ.

They are the child of Dark Slate Blue and the parent of Purple.

Physical Appearance[]

Indigo takes the appearance of a giant dark purple-colored round-bodied astronaut with short legs, floating hands, and a what appears to be a gas tank on their back. They also possess a cyan visor capable of changing shape to express emotion.

During the Mira HQ Incident, Indigo got infected by a parasite and thus, becomes a parasitic Impostor. As a result, they gained claws on both hands, as well as a conceable mouth filled with sharp teeth and a tongue. When feeling angered or hostile, Indigo's visor would glow red instead of the usual shade of light blue.

Powered Form[]

Upon being overcomed by wrath, Indigo's hands, gas tank, and sometimes even legs, will become flamed with purple fire. In this form, their visor glows purple and white, and is capable of summoning plasma-based tentacles from both their mouth and gas tank at will.

Personality[]

Indigo is ultimately antagonistic towards every Crewmate they see because they believe they are all a danger to the lives of the Impostors that they intend to protect despite being a former Crewmate, and would not hesitate to kill them if necessary. Their main goal is to protect their fellow Impostors that hides in the Impostor Hideout, which is a location that they are the leader of.

They have shown huge hatred towards the Mira HQ Scientists, especially Dr. White, for experimenting on the Impostors, as well as disliking the Rescue Team since they work with the Mira HQ Scientists. But they are grateful to those who manages to do something successfully that benefits them, such as when Indigo gives Green a thumbs up when they manage to vote out all the other Crewmates (which were actually the Mira HQ Team).

While Indigo has good intentions of shielding their fellow Impostors from what they perceive as a threat (like the Crewmates), they are very dangerously easy to anger. Their anger issues often clouds their judgment and causes them to be proned to impulsive and reckless behavior, sometimes killing other Impostors either intentionally or unintentionally. They also believe they know what is best for all of them and is not afraid to speak up their mind, but would not mind letting the others pick and decide if they think it is necessary.

After coming back from their expedition above, they have given Dark Slate Blue meat despite the fact that they are now old and lack any teeth at all, which could indicate that Indigo is rather insensitive to their own parent's condition. But regardless, they have shown to at least have some degree of respect for the elder Impostor since they followed Dark Slate Blue's commands at one point.

Indigo is a Crewmate originating from Mira HQ and was one of those who had witnessed the Mira HQ incident take event in said building, as well as being one of the unfortunate individuals to become infected by the parasites and turned into a parasitic Impostor. After Dr. White and their assistants initiated a lockdown of the place, Indigo, along with the other victims who fell ill to the parasites' takeover, was trapped and stuck in Mira HQ with seemingly no other way out.

At some point, Indigo would take the role as leader of the parasitic Impostors in the building. Indigo would also, at one point, work together with the Impostors in stealing the Plant Cure (an item they believed would be able of curing them back into normal Crewmates) from the Mira HQ Scientists, which they successfully succeeded in doing so and has been keeping it under their protection ever since.

Season 2[]

Part 3: Hideout[]

Upon finding Green and Glitchy, Indigo, alongside a crowd of Impostors, began chasing after the two, but eventually lost them and went to search elsewhere. Indigo later appears and drags two Impostors (of whom are actually Green and Glitchy, with Green utilizing an Impostor disguise in order to not be recognized by the leader) into an ongoing Impostor Meeting, where they must find out who the Crewmates are and vote them out into the Impostor Cage.

Coral, who was amongst the ones attending the meeting, volunteers to vote out the people who they exclaim are the Crewmates. However, upon being let by Indigo to do so, ended up getting every vote wrong, resulting in the unwanted deaths of many Impostors. This causes Indigo to become mad. Green eventually steps up and began voting out the actual Crewmates one-by-one after Coral tried to accuse them next. Coral would eventually reveal their identity as another Crewmate while attacking Green, before being thrown into the Impostor Cage along with their dead friends, with Indigo giving Green a thumbs up for a job well done.
