Infexion is an antagonist created and owned by Shinestarz_.
He is a sentient virus who controls a cancelled PC Sonic compilation known as the Sonic Oldies Collection and acts as a hive mind for several in-game characters, seeking to obtain as many vessels as possible and crossover into the real world so he can rule it as a god.
Appearance[]
Infexion appears as a corruption, distorted, purple variation of Sonic with black skin, legs, and shoes, with the latter having two thin red stripes that reflect the original Sonic design where the edges of the white stripe would be. His eyes are pitch black with large white irises, he sports a red nose and a mouth filled with red teeth. He also has a red X on his chest surrounded by a circle.

Infexion is a single-minded virus only concerned with his own goals lacking any sense ofempathy towards others. There are times however where Infexion displays fragments of self-awareness while aslso showing himself to sadistic and malevolent, ruling his world with an iron fist while toying mercilessly with its inhabitants. Biography[]
Infexion is a fragment of corrupted data created inside a cancelled Sonic PC port compilation known as the "Sonic Oldies Collection", containing some of the classic games in the series. From unknown reasons, the corrupted data became sentient and morphed into a virus with hive mind-like abilities. After achieving self-awareness, Infexion would take control over the game and corrupt it to suit his liking, linking all the game's events into one experience and shaping it into a traditional-looking Sonic world, as well as possessing Sonic and controlling the rest of the primary in-game characters. Should a player ever locate and play the game, Infexion would pretend to be powerless as he took control over their computers and reveal himself by the end of the game, and by that point it would be too late for the player.
Although Infexion had managed to dominate the video game world and rule it alongside the rest of his hive mind, unaware to him, the inhabitants of the game were planning to fight back against his reign.

- Virus physiology: Infexion started as a piece of corrupted data that morphed into a virus after gaining sentience, becoming powerful and mighty within the game world.
- Ergokinesis: Infexion can disperse energy from himself and use it to attack his enemies. Infexion can also manipulate energy by using it as a form of travel or for other reasons.
- Fusion: Infexion can fuse two or more vessels together in order to construct a more powerful entity linked to his hive mind. In doing so, the conjoined vessel would become exponentially stronger and share the abilities the two vessels had before they were merged.
- Hive mind: Infexion has a hive mind mentality that can link with other entities he has corrupted, thus making them extensions of himself.
- Infection: Infexion can, as his name suggests, infect his victims and gradually turn them into hollow vessels he can add to his hive mind. It's unclear how his infection works.
- Possession: Infexion can possess living entities and hijack their bodies to add to the hive mind, though he primarily chooses to use Sonic as his main vessel.
- Possessive Power Replication & Possesive Enhancement : Infexion can gain the powers of any entities he adds to his hive mind. In doing so, adding them to his hive mind also enhances their abilities (Sonic, his speed. Knuckles, his strength, Eggman, his intellect. Etc.).
- Shapeshifting: Infexion can shapeshift into other forms that resemble his primary vessel. This is done for the purpose of disguising himself to lure in more victims.
- Video game manipulation: Like many incarnations of Sonic.EXE characters, Infexion can alter reality within his own world as much as he desires with virtually no limitations, effectively making him a god.
Weaknesses[]
- Vessel strength: Although the abilities of his vessels are enhanced with his strength, there appears to be a chance that only controlling one vessel to engage in a fight will result in that vessel being overpowered and defeated, whereas controlling numerous vessels at once and combining their strength would be enough to easily take down opponents.
- Willpower: Any entities with enough willpower strong enough can resist Infexion's infection, although they can't counteract it fully, hinting that resisting his influence will weaken his victims' minds.

- Infexion is canonically friends with Vulpes due to their similarly shared goals of wanting to cross over to the real world.
- If Infexion were to achieve a super form, his color palette would match that of a VCR screen and would be glitchy and hard to look at.
- His incomplete design was actually his original design before getting revamped.
