Inner Tails is a supporting antagonist in the Sonic.exe: Nightmare Version series created by JaizKoys. He appears as an unseen antagonist in Sally.exe: Continued Nightmare - Eye of Three and the secondary antagonist of the third episode of Nightmare Shorts. He is a living manifestation of Tails' inner evil and animosity.
He is voiced by YuriHaru567, who also voices Sark's Cream, Amy Rosy, Cream the Rabbit and Tails in the same series.
Biography[]
Inner Tails was indirectly created during Tails' demonization process. As Tails tried to resist, a demonic essence was formed within Tails' mind, manifesting as his inner anger and malevolent nature after being demonized. Inner Tails greatly affected Tails' mental state, as he unwittingly forced Tails to murder Vanilla Rabbit by tearing her to shreds, leaving her unable to be demonized.
In Nightmare Shorts: Episode 3, Inner Tails physically appears in reality in a world Tails was sent to by Sanity. Inner Tails appeared behind Tails after the latter found the corpse of the realm's Sonic, calling it a pity as Tails became infuriated and spindashed away as Inner Tails laughed sadistically. Inner Tails later appears and kills an apparition of Sonic with his plane before chasing Tails, constantly mocking him telling him that Sonic deserved to die for not accepting him. Tails yells at Inner Tails to leave him alone and narrowly avoids him before finding a giant ring. Sanity appears and Inner Tails seemingly kills him with his plane, telling Tails that he can never get rid of him and that he is the part of him that protects him. Tails doesn't listen and jumps through the ring.
Personality[]
Inner Tails is violent, aggressive, barbaric, sinister and hostile, being the driving force of Tails' deep-rooted anger spawned after his demonization and embodying his negative traits such as his rage, anger and regret. Inner Tails is also very sadistic as well as manipulative, as he joyfully taunts Tails by telling him that Sonic deserved to die for not accepting Tails and manipulating Tails into accepting him as a part of the former's mind, when in reality he is merely a demonic savage who pollutes Tails' thoughts with negativity and is only resting in his mind to further damage his psyche.
While he is mostly the same in the start of unofficial boss rush fangame, Tower of Millennium, his personality changes after being beaten by Diana. After being wounded, he seemed to have developed amnesia, mentioning to Diana that his memories are vague aside from her bandaging up his wounds. He is also shown to not be insane outside of certain circumstances, and practices restraint to keep himself from unintentionally killing others. After being accepted as a partner by Diana, Inner is shown to be more open to friendliness, but is more cautious to the surroundings of the Tower, even throwing off a delusion of Sally's voice as fake when he and Diana meet Amy and Cream on their way along.

- Inner Tails is alluded to in Sally.exe: Continued Nightmare - Eye of Three when Tails mentions that he ripped Vanilla Rabbit to shreds in a fit of rage.
- It's possible that Inner Tails is a parasite that entered Tails' mind to feed off of him, similar to Crally, which would explain his claims of being a part of Tails as being merely manipulation to have Tails keep him around so he can continue to feed.
