Iptamai, commonly referred to as The Hanging Virus, appears in Sonic.ARR as an antagonist.
He appears to be a hacker or virus, who is shown to be mischievous throughout the episodes. He was created by Jack Thompson, the main antagonist.
He is voiced by Unifer, a similar case to Jack.
Appearance[]
Like the other viruses in the series, he is very akin to Sonic in terms of appearance. Of course, this wouldn't be one of Jack's viruses without any major differences, would it? He is darker, almost like he is inside of a dark room, he is shown upside down and is floating, hence the nickname "Hanging Virus" Like the other two viruses, there is a large hole inside of his entire face, displaying sharp teeth, which are grinning.
Personality[]
Iptamai is shown to be a goofball who jokes around and is constantly chaotic and all over the place. But on the other hand, he is sadistic and pretty smart, being able to hack an entire facility's system.
He could also be deceived easily, as a website tricked him into thinking he will get sex.
He is very helpful for his father too, as he helped him get out of a confinement space.

The Case of Ken Lamont[]
Workers have arrived at the construction site, which leads to them capturing a photo of Iptamai, shown at the end of the video, this is our clearest look of him so far.
Separate Moments[]
Most of the video is focused on ARR and Jack, but at the end, we get to see him speak. He states that he is hacking the system, as he moves across the screen quickly. He challenges the viewer to hide and seek, stating that he will be the seeker, and they will be the hider.
The Beast Interview[]
At the end of the main interview, we hear what's presumably a gun shot, blowing off the agent's head and killing him. Iptamai shouts "Time to get you out papa!" before laughing, which glitches out.
The Finale.[]
Iptamai makes an appearance with ARR, ARR asks why did Iptamai 'do it'. Iptamai states that the deed had to be done and that he is still under Jack's orders. Iptamai tries to convince ARR to join his side, which ARR doesn't. Iptamai states that he would make the entire world "better" before shooting ARR in the stomach. Iptamai taunts ARR as she cries in pain, before the scene ends abruptly. Iptamai appears for one last time at the end of the video, trying to delete the agents which later doesn't work, which sends him into a glitch frenzy while Amazing Grace plays in the background, right after, Iptamai is set ablaze, possibly dying.

- Out of all viruses, Iptamai loves his father the most.
- Iptamai loves buckets, as he wears them as a helmet.
- He might also like sex, but that is probably not canon since it was just a meme made by Unifer.
- According to Unifer, Iptamai is 16 physically, 18 mentally, and his age is undefined in total.
- Iptamai means 'soar' in Greek Mythology.
