Iroha Nijiue is a major antagonist in the Korean Danganronpa fangame Super Danganronpa Another 2. She’s the Ultimate Painter,
She is one of the members of Void, an organization dedicated to resurrecting Utsuro by replicating the Killing Game he experienced. Despite being the most incompetent member of the group, Iroha was still able to help the Mastermind at several points.
Personality[]
Iroha has the personality of a shy and energetic teenager who always wants to have fun and fulfill her interests. Although draws on a regular basis, it's mostly a result of family pressure, and what she actually enjoys is making comics. During the Killing Game, she acted as a normal participant who always advocated for positivity and, aside from her pretending to be against Void, most of her traits are shown to be genuine.
Iroha joined Void because, like the others, she was desperate to obtain Divine Luck and prevent her life from going back to misery. She was not intentionally malicious and showed discomfort in her actions, but was still willing to play dirty if it meant surviving. Similar to Syobai, she prefers to side with whoever has a more beneficial goal, to the point where even after being betrayed, she still tries to side with Mikado.
However, she was very incompetent and dimwitted, and would sometimes accidentally slip up and make her identity pretty obvious. She would rarely do things on her own and always needed help from others, and even tried to ask Nikei to murder someone because she was too cowardly to do it.
Overall, she was a scared, traumatized and cowardly minion who was willing to do whatever she could to survive. She has several traits of a clumsy anime girl, and most of her villainy is basically being Mikado (and later Syobai)’s ally.
Villainous Actions[]
- She chose to assist Mikado, despite knowing he was going to start a death game.
- Tried to persuade Nikei Yomiuri to commit a murder, being too scared to do it on her own.
- She tried to kill Sora by pushing her from a high point in the Tower of Babel.
- She tried to kill Teruya by poisoning food and giving it to him (in reality, the food was already poisoned by Mikado and all she did was add salt, so Monocrow didn’t judge her as the culprit).
- Even after being betrayed once, she still tried to side with Mikado, but was rejected.
- After escaping from prison, she and Syobai became con artists who pretend to be part of Ultimate Despair and trick others into giving them money (Somewhat justified in that this is the only way they can survive after everything that happened). This resulted in at least one unintentional death, as some are willing to kill others to please the “Queen of Despair”.
