Jack Skellington is the titular central antagonist of the YouTube Poop video The Nightmare Before Christmas Who: Skellington's Revenge, which was based as a parody of Tim Burton's 1993 Disney movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
He is a cruel and depraved version of the titular character as he plans to spread Halloween through his twisted use of dark magic with his Spell-Book to summon the Black Hiver to help conquer Christmas. However, after realising the error of his ways, he himself would defeat the creature and apologise for his actions.
He was voiced by Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman, who also voiced his original counterpart. However, his evil laugh at the beginning of the video was provided by the late Ken Page, who voiced Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Appearance[]
He looks the same as his original counterpart as they are both tall and slender white skeletons with a round skull, a cross-stitch mouth, skinny fingers and black eye holes.
Personality[]
Unlike his original counterpart, who is ambitious, but heroic and has motives that are so selfless that he's misguided and not malicious, this version of Jack is an actual villain and was more than willing to hurt people, just so he could get what he wants. He wanted to take over Christmas Day because his Halloween specials keep getting cancelled. However, despite being a villain, Jack is not completely evil because all he really wanted to do was give himself and his friends the holiday special they worked hard for after their holidays have repeatedly been cancelled. He also shows remorse for his actions and redeems himself as he stops trying to take over Christmas thanks to SpongeBob SquarePants. In fact, the Black Hiver turned out to be more dangerous than Jack.
Jack was rude to his friends as he mistreated them and he ignored them and continued his conquest after they tell him that he's being an ass for his actions.
He was also shown to get offended when he said "How dare you call me fat!" just because SpongeBob SquarePants questioned about where his big round belly is and thought he was the real Santa even though Jack was actually impersonating him. Despite this, however, Jack forgave SpongeBob after he apologized for calling him fat.
Biography[]
Jack first prepares soberly walking towards the cemetery after hearing the news from the mayor of the cancellation of Halloween on October 28, 2012, he then notices Zero bringing him a leaflet about a Christmas annual event, which he gleefully smiles as red light began to show, Jack starts an Omelette tour and takes everyone to prepare to reviving Halloween again, Jack would meet with Sally who foresaw a vision of the reckoning event as stretches of grazed fire surrounded by a silhouette of a rabbit appeared, but Jack brushes it off and tells her to make crack, making Sally call Jack “an a**”, in response Jack declares it’s Halloween before kicking her off a pit and tries to make cocaine for himself. The next day The Mayor attempts to call Jack about the delivery of the sausages which Jack rudely dismisses the Mayor, but the latter annoys him from his home, leading to Jack to throw a sheep at the mayor, He is seen later with the Mayor with his scheme who would remark to Jack to call off his annual gearing it might backfire, But Jack tells him to take a hike and makes a mockery at his consideration with Christmas, taunting with the Mayor to work there, which led to the latter storming out of the castle and calling Jack “an a**”, much to his anger as Jack begins to think about a way to take over Christmas, which then a bell is heard as he sprouts an idea of a pufferfish, as he quickly grabs a book to understand what he must do, he would then brew a potion to teleport himself to meet up with the normal Black Hare at the thin ice who would become reluctant with Jack’s response to take over Christmas. Jack would later disguise himself as Santa and drove his Pierce arrow mobile and crashed onto Squidward’s bedroom which he surprised everyone of the Poop characters which SpongeBob abrupt him by pointing out his missing features, leading to Jack angrily grabbing SpongeBob for that response but SpongeBob apologises, making Jack letting go of SpongeBob and presenting a frame of Santa to everyone as he gave it to SpongeBob who quickly realises it’s actually the real Saint Nick trapped within the painting domain of Jack as the point of view looks up at Jack’s disguise, revealing sinister eyes that match his real appearance, Jack would tear off this mask and though everyone would be surprised as he transports himself through the painting, leading to the characters to be sucked into the North Pole to face the Black Hiver.
