Overview

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether or not you're a chaos god or a huge political figure... the only one with true power is the one with the most money.
~ James Sevaca
That silver bullet in your dad right now? That's nothing, not even enough to kill him. But if you don't want to cooperate with me, I'll put another in him, and that'll be the end of it.
~ James threatening Canus

James Sevaca is the main antagonist of the sequel series Legends of Demor.

He is one of the secondary antagonists in the Revival Arc, the main antagonist of the Canus Arc, a major recurring antagonist in the Archangel and Conspiracy Arcs, the main antagonist of the War Saga, and the overarching posthumous antagonist of the Jungle, Dream, and Finale Arcs.

He is a corrupt and ruthless businessman who is in charge of the company SevaCo. Industries, a company that manufactures airships and other metal items. In the Revival Arc, they focused on making Lord Mason's tanks, until it was revealed James was selling tanks to both Mason's army and the Elvish Empire army. After he evades his arrest, he pursues Goro Whitefang's eldest son for his Tsuara powers, and takes morally decrepit actions for the sole purpose of greed.

He is the archenemy of Anabelle Witherra and Canus Hunter-Whitefang.

Personality[]

James can be described as affable and charismatic. He is usually eccentric and eager for new business deals to further boost his company. In actuality, he is a selfish, greed-driven, and ruthless businessman who is only concerned about boosting his own profits, trampling whoever and whatever he can so long as he can turn a buck from them, no matter the age. This is also due to his personal philosophy that whoever holds the most money holds the most power and influence, which he definitely achieves.

He also holds some skill in manipulation, which is best exemplified when he attempted to manipulate Anya Hunter-Whitefang into becoming his business successor to get closer to Canus for his goals. James has no fear for justice or the law, trusting his ability to throw money at any given situation and lie, which usually works. However, this is something that ends up backfiring, and leads to his demise.

His overall superiority complex through his wealth and indifference towards punishment also provides him a pretty laid back attitude, only snapping when things aren't to his preference, aren't lining up with his goals, or general annoyance.

Appearance[]

James is an above average-build man who stands at 6"0 tall. His skin is mocha colored and his hair is also brown. He usually keeps his hair in a combover style with the rest of it styled neatly to stick out.

He wears a long coat with gold outlines down the sleeves and around the cuffs. He also wears a black collared undershirt, black pants with gold outlines along the legs and boots, and a white tie. He wears black gloves as well. He is also depicted wearing sunglasses in some appearances.

Abilities[]

  • Swordsman/Marksman Skills: James's primary weapon of choice is a hybrid of a katana and a firearm, which he dubs the Gunblade. Because of his unique weapon, he's had to hone both swordsmanship and marksman skills to become a dangerous opponent. His swordsmanship is said to rival that of a well experienced Asororan swordsman, and even standing toe-to-toe with Reva himself, a skilled assassin utilizing his other senses after being blinded. As for his marksmanship, with any regular firearm, he can shoot a target from up to 2000 meters, unaided. This deadly combination makes him a worthy foe, one that is difficult to go up against. He rarely brandishes these skills, however, only using them when he absolutely needs to.
  • Tsuara Absorption: After absorbing the a bit of the power of Tsuara from Canus, James was able to tap into some of the abilities that Tsuara holds. With the power, James can move at superhuman speeds, either moving so fast he appears as blurs or generating afterimages. In addition, James can extend his sight from well beyond the human threshold, making his movements and attacks much more precise. He also has access to a little of ice magic, but isn't powerful enough to fully wield it, at best creating protective walls. Finally, he can transform, but not fully, creating a horrific halfway transformation that combines both the wolf and James. This version, however, enhances his skills already, and makes him more difficult to handle.
  • Charisma: Over the years, James had built a well-received public image, at one point being the role-model of Timothy Witherra. He has used his status as a public celebrity to his advantage, being able to lie himself out of any situation.
