| “ | Sometimes, life's greatest tragedies aren't just about the acts of malice some humans indulge in, but rather, it's about moments of inattention, the instances when we turn our backs on those in need or neglect our duties... as a lifeguard, as a mother, as a decent human being. As I look back on this tale, I wonder: what becomes of a soul betrayed in such a manner? What path does a boy like Jason carve in death for himself after being betrayed by those around him? | „ |

Jason Voorhees is a major antagonist in Earth-27, and is set to serve as the main antagonist of the upcoming storyline "A Close Shave". He is an adaptation of the iconic Slasher villain for Earth-27.
Biography[]
Jason Voorhees was born Friday the 13th June, 1975 to Elias and Pamela Voorhees, however, his childhood wasn't an easy one. Due to being born with the condition Hydrocephalus, he was left with something of an enlarged head and mental disabilities, which severely limited the things he could do. Because of this, Pamela would keep Jason away from others and confined to their home, acting as not just his teacher, but also guardian and a singular voice that Jason could trust.
Following the opening of Camp Crystal Lake, Pamela would be hired as a caretaker for the winter months, a potential blessing in disguise that could see Jason interacting with other children, something that Pamela hoped would be beneficial to her son, in spite of the more rowdy teens. However, this wouldn't be the case as Jason would become the target of bullies due to either his dependency on his mother or his rather unique demeanour, with their prodding and taunts only frustrating Jason, much to the teenagers amusement. It all came to a tragic head on his eleventh birthday (June 13th, 1986), when at the camp docks, Jason was pushed into the lake by the bullies, who watched his flailing and cries for help, cries which went answered due to the counselors who were assigned to Jason being caught up in sex, leading to the young boy drowning in the lake.
Pamela did not take Jason's death well. Though she appealed for justice, the police ruled his death an accident and declined to press charges on the teenagers. In response, Pamela began to sabotage the camp, hoping to get it shut down, but despite her efforts, the camp remained open. And on June 13th, 2003, a day that should've been Jason's 28th birthday, Pamela would finally snap and began a killing spree at the camp, massacring the new counselors while viewing them as the ones responsible for neglecting Jason. Ultimately, her murder spree was ended when Pamela was decapitated, but yet, because of her death, something would begin to stir from beneath Camp Crystal Lake.
From the death of Pamela, Jason was reborn, finally emerging from the waters all those years since his demise. As such, he continued what Pamela had begun, killing those that came to Camp Crystal Lake, until eventually, the camp was closed for good, leading Jason to head west towards Gotham City. In 2008, during one killing spree, Jason would invade the home of a then thirteen year old Tommy Jarvis, murdering his mother Tracy in the process. However, Tommy was able to outsmart Jason by using his knowledge of special effects to deceive the undead killer, allowing his sister Trish to strike a killing blow to Jason. In spite of this, this would not be the end of Jason, as come the next Friday the 13th, he would be resurrected through unknown means, intent on seeking out revenge on Tommy. Following their fifth bout in 2012, this led to Tommy running away from Trish to distance himself for her safety and hone his skills alongside other Hunters.
In 2015, Jason was lured back to Camp Crystal Lake by Tommy, who by then had teamed up with the DEO task force FINAL as they were investigating Camp Crystal Lake. In the end, the group were successful in decapitating Jason and chaining his body to the bottom of the lake, though his head was presumably destroyed, as well as his mask vanishing in the showdown. However, despite this, Jason may eventually rise again come the next Friday the 13th, with Dr. Loomis believing that Jason may eventually use Tommy's body as a backup vessel (owing to them both sharing Friday the 13th as their birth date). Additionally, Dexter Morgan would dedicate a page in his Codex of Blood to Jason.
