Jason Voorhees is one of the playable villainous protagonists of the 2007 fan-game Terrordrome: Rise of the Boogeyman. In the game, Jason is actually split into two via supernatural means, meaning that two separate stories take place at the same time, despite both Jasons essentially being the same person, character wise. Jason is a mysterious brute that suffers from severe mental illness and hallucinations. He is obsessed with murdering everyone that enters into "his home" Camp Crystal Lake. He does this as he believes that the spirit of his deceased mother is guiding him when in reality it is actually a deadite. He is directly based off of his film counterpart.

Biography[]

Terrordrome: Rise of the Boogeyman[]

Jason Voorhees, also known as the Crystal Lake Killer, was resting in his shack with the decapitated head of his mother, who he was obsessed with. At some point, evil beings better known to mortals as "deadites" appeared and split Jason into two. Essentially creating a clone of him, who resembled him in his human form. One particular deadite saw use in Jason. So, pretending to be his mother, he commanded Jason to go onto a journey to kill the one man capable of defeating the deadites and protecting humanity, Ash Williams, and retrieve the Necronomicon, a book of pure evil and dark magic. Meanwhile, the human clone of Jason believed the undead version of himself to be a doppelganger, and one that was out to steal his mother's love. So, the human Jason set out after the Undead doppelganger, to retrieve his mother.

Undead Jason eventually found Ash and fought him. He was successful in overpowering him, however, as soon as he did this, the deadite posing as his mother, revealed itself. Angered, Jason took on the deadites and fought them all off. All the while, Ash snuck away. After killing the deadites, Jason retrieved his mother's corpse and brought it back to his shack. Suddenly, Human Jason appeared and attacked his Undead counterpart. The two fought until Human Jason was able to get the upper hand and had his doppelganger immobilized. Then, Chucky, the killer doll appeared and snuck up behind the Human Jason. With the story ending as another battle begins.

Skills and Abilities[]

  • Superhuman Strength - Even as a human, Jason had a seemingly impossible amount of strength, which was only doubled when he became a zombie. He has the ability to crack open his victim's heads like walnuts and rip off limbs with his bare hands.
  • Immortality - When undead, Jason seemingly is immortal and cannot die, at least not by normal means. Even when he should be dead, the deadites guiding him will resurrect him to fight once more.
  • High Pain Tolerance - Jason has always had strangely high pain tolerance. Even as a human he could take multiple blows and still keep walking. When undead, Jason now cannot feel pain making him even more difficult to take down.
  • Regeneration - Jason has an ability to regenerate lost or damaged tissue, making it impossible to kill him by normal means. Strangely, Human Jason appears to have some form of this ability as well as his undead counterpart.
  • Superhuman Durability - In both incarnations, Jason can take an inhuman amount of damage and trauma and still keep walking, making him difficult to kill.
  • Resurrection - When undead, if Jason where to somehow go unconscious, the evil power inside of him has the power to resurrect him and bring him back into battle.

Appearance[]

Both Jasons have noticeably different looks. Undead Jason resembles that of his design from Friday the 13th: The New Blood. He has decaying and rotting skin, with pieces of bone showing. His clothes are ragged and torn, and his mask is damaged. He also has broken chain slung around his neck. Human Jason resembles that of his design from Friday the 13th 3-D. His head is deformed and misshapen. His mask is clean and unscratched. He wears a light green hoodie and grey work jeans. Undead Jason wields a machete and bow and arrow as his weapons of choice, while Human Jason uses a fire axe and a pitchfork.

Trivia[]

  • Undead Jason's Slasher could be a reference to how he killed Julius in Jason Takes Manhattan.
  • His Special move "Life Recharge" is a reference to how he was resurrected in Friday The 13th Part VI Jason Lives.

  • Jason's mask can be knocked off when he gets KOed just like in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.Classic Jason Voorhees is very obviously based on his appearance from Part 3. His Mask does not yet have the Axe Mark at the end of Part 3 and all of attacks are from Part 3.
