Jevil is a minor antagonist in Deltarune and a re-occuring antagonistic character in Revtrocity's works, most notably the 'Saying a lot of things as Jevil' series. He is a psychotic jester who loves creating chaos and mischief.
Appearance[]
Jevil resembles a small imp-like humanoid in a black and purple Jester outfit with two elf ears, a J-shaped tail and purple gloves. He wears a yellow/green frill and shoes as well as a purple top. Depending on depiction he is either wearing a black cape or a black jacket. He has sharp teeth, black eyes, a mask-like face and glowing yellow pupils.
Personality[]
Jevil is mostly the same as his original counterpart, childish but cryptic. Despite this, this version of Jevil appears to be more comedic and mischievous. Jevil views himself as the only one free and that everyone is locked up except for him, but claims to be lonely and wanting someone to play with. This version of Jevil seems to be more sophisticated and refined compared to his original counterpart, being way less unstable.
Biography[]
For his backstory, go here. Due to the lack of continuity of the comic dub series, Jevil is either portrayed still inside his freedom or outside making mischief. On one occasion Jevil offered to play with Sans, the latter politely declining and saying that Papyrus would be better suited. Jevil explains the rules of the game, where you loose when your HP drops to 0, but gets slapped by Sans who suspects Jevil would kill Papyrus. Jevil then runs away and gets Kris who approaches Sans in a Jojo-esque scene. On another occasion Spamton knocks on Jevil's door seconds before noclipping into the cell itself, catching Jevil by surprise. Jevil declines Spamton's deals and breaks into a philosophical monologue claiming that Spamton is trapped and even pointing the strings attached to Spamton before telling him to leave with a single attack. Spamton, enraged, turns into his NEO form and asks Jevil what he knows about freedom, to which Jevil offers that if the two play a 'little numbers game' he'll accept Spamton's deals. Both say their famous catchphrases before the dub ends. The ending is left to the audience's interpretation.
History[]
Due to the lack of a storyline among most of the comic dubs Revtrosity has made, it is unclear what Jevil's complete history in the series is. What is clear is that Jevil has been involved in numerous events in the dubs.
Jevil's first major appearance was in 'SALOT as Jevil', to which Jevil, voiced by Revtrosity, does various actions dictated by comments from the audience, often involving him screaming. Jevil appears again in the sequel, questioning if this is all his character is now before proceeding anyways. Some notable things Jevil has done throughout these dubs include:
- Saw Ralsei in half while proudly claiming: "I sawed this goat in half!", referencing the flex tape commercial
- Stubbing his toe before quietly going into the distance, then screaming in pain
- Saying 'Bacteria' when Flowey voices his hope there's no requests with Jevil in them, this happening in SALOT as Flowey
- Proudly claiming he is responsible for several war crimes
- Getting Thanos snapped
- Winning a game of Among Us
- Propose a new anime plot
- Kill Ralsei (lots of times)
Trivia[]
- Jevil is the most popular character on Revtrosity's channel, surpassing even Sans.
- This version of Jevil seems to be much more powerful than the original
- Revtrosity, the creator of this version of Jevil, is also known for his voice impression of Queen, where the Get the Banana part has become a meme
