Joseph Goebbels is a major antagonist of the Hearts of Iron 4 Mod, Thousand-Week Reich. and the main antagonist if the player/IA chooses Goebbels as Führer. He is a member of Hitler's inner circle and a potential successor to the Führer.

Unlike other leaders who emerged after Hitler's decline, Goebbels represents an even more radical and destructive vision of National Socialism, surpassing even the brutality of the original regime.
His political career is characterized by an unwavering adherence to the principles of Nazism, but with an even more revolutionary and violent twist. Hailing from the left wing of the party, Goebbels had survived the Night of the Long Knives by reaffirming his loyalty to Hitler, but keeping intact his ambitions for the radical transformation of the German state. This combination of loyalty and radicalism makes him a particularly dangerous successor.
Goebbels' vision goes far beyond simple territorial expansion. He envisions a project of global domination based on the concept of “Totaler Krieg” (Total War), where Germany must be in a permanent state of conflict until the absolute conquest of the world is achieved. It is not simply a matter of conquering territories, but of implementing a total transformation of society under the principles of the most extreme National Socialism.
His political strategy is based on two fundamental pillars: propaganda and violence. As a master of communication, he plans to use all available means, especially animation and audiovisual media, to indoctrinate the German youth. Goebbels' brutality is manifested from the first moment of his rise to power. His first actions included the revocation of the rights of those considered “honorary Aryans” and public executions designed to demonstrate his absolute determination. A paradigmatic example is the televised execution of Emil Maurice, Hitler's former chauffeur, sending a message of terror and racial purity.
What is most frightening about his project is his ability to mobilize and his readiness for conflict. Unlike other Nazi leaders who would seek to consolidate conquered territories, Goebbels sees war as a permanent state. His military doctrine is summed up in a simple but devastating principle: “Attack, Attack, Attack”. He can build alliances, conquer territories in Eurasia and potentially challenge the Toronto Accord in a way that no other Nazi leader could imagine.
However, its greatest weakness is precisely its radicalism. Under artificial intelligence control, he is likely to strike prematurely, triggering a nuclear war that would completely destroy the Reich. He is a leader who embodies the “all or nothing” principle, willing to sacrifice all of Germany on the altar of his ideological vision.
