Josh Hutcherson is a popular meme that has been circulating on Instagram Reels for quite some time. It is based off the actor of the same name. The meme often features Josh being featured everywhere on earth.

He was portrayed by Josh Hutcherson himself in his first villainous fanon role.

Two years before the upload of the more notable Josh Hutcherson "Whistle" edit, a YouTuber named mariela5511 posted a video on September 1st, 2012, which received over 14,900 views in 11 years.

On October 12th, 2014, YouTuber MetroGirlzStation posted a video called "Josh Hutcherson || Whistle" which was a similar fan-made edit of actor Josh Hutcherson (known at the time for his role as Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games franchise) set to the song "Whistle" by Joel Merry (a cover of the original "Whistle" by Flo Rida). Over nine years, the video gained roughly 160,500 views and 14,000 likes (shown below). In the 2020s, the video gained meme attention as opposed to its precursor.
