Let me get one thing straight: you weren’t controlling me; I was controlling you! I may have helped you in the beginning, but now, unfortunately, I must take over your body. And when I do, your soul...your personality...your psyche...all of it will no longer exist! You will be my vessel for all of eternity! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
~ Bloodrush Kanin to Kanin before they battle in the good and possible worst ending
You have kept me bottled up for the very last time! Now I will keep you in the back of your mind! Not just for a day...or a week...but for all of eternity! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
~ Bloodrush Kanin to Kanin before they battle in the best and possible worst ending

Kanin Lanceman Tepes (Bloodrush Form), or Bloodrush Kanin, is the alternate form of Kanin in Castlevania: The Vampire War III: Kanin’s Fate. He helps him until after Sonicula.EXE is defeated, in which Bloodrush Kanin exits Kanin’s body and attempts to kill him.

Origin[]

Bloodrush Kanin arose after the events of Castlevania: The Vampire War II: Clock Tower of Doom. As to how he entered Kanin, it is unknown. One theory is that part of the Corruption Spirit’s power entered Kanin, causing his vampiric side to exit the very depths of Kanin’s mind and advance to the center.. Another theory is that the Corruption Spirit cursed Kanin with a darker side. It is unclear whether either of these theories is true.

Personality[]

His personality is similar to Dracula’s personality, but with a few differences:

•Instead of trying to kill off humanity, he is trying to turn everyone into corrupted vampires.

•He is willing to help others, but will then betray them.

•He cares not for his loved ones. He only cares about what benefits him.

He also is willing to go a more brutal route if things don’t work out how they should or his adversaries are unwilling to cooperate.

Physical Appearance[]

He looks the same as Kanin (Black coat, red shirt, black pants, crimson cloak, circular sapphire on a keychain around neck), but his skin is stone grey, his hair looks similar to Dracula’s hair in the films, he has a longer nose, and he looks more vampiric than Kanin (Kanin has pale skin and pointed ears, but that is as far as it goes.).

Battle Style[]

Bloodrush Kanin’s battle style is as follows

Phase 1[]

Kanin starts out by throwing a bone cross. He will then rush up to Kanin and slash at him continuously until Kanin or him is struck. Afterwards, he will use the Acod Storm ability (provided by unholy water) to almost guarantee a hit on Kanin. Lastly, he will throw axes for ten seconds. This pattern will repeat until Phase 2.

Phase 2[]

After Bloodrush Kanin is on 2/3 of health, he will start using spells such as Soul Steal and Tetra Spirits. He will then use 1000 Daggers to catch Kanin. If he succeeds, he will whip him with the Vampiric Whip (an item real Kanin likely obtained before the boss fight) and repeat the pattern until Phase 3

Phase 3 (Final Phase)[]

When Bloodrush Kanin reaches 1/2 of his total health, he will cast Soul Steal to regain up to 3/4 of his total health. He will then turn into a beast form that is similar to Dracula’s. However, he will use a combination of attacks from Phases 1 and 2. He will also add a Curse Skull attack that will curse Kanin if it hits him. When he reaches 1/8 of his total health, he will fire a laser beam from his mouth as a last ditch attempt to injure Kanin. If it fails, he will die due to exhaustion. If it succeeds, he will regain 1/2 of his health that he had at the beginning of the boss fight and continue his attack pattern until the former outcome occurs. After the battle, he will say the following last words to Kanin: “So what...you beat me...that doesn’t mean you will be rid of me...” It is unclear whether he will make a comeback or he is implying that Bloodrush Kanin will never leave normal Kanin’s body.

Trivia[]

•Parts of Blood rush Kanin’s Phases 1 and 2 battle styles are similar to Richter‘s battle from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, in which Alucard attempts to free Richter from Shaft’s spell.

•The Curse Skull and laser blast Bloodrush Kanin does also references Dracula’s second form in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.
