Katrina Weatherly is one of the main villains of the Scooby-Doo! series alongside her infamous son-in-law, Augustus Raven. She served as the main villainess of Scooby-Doo! The Wicked Matriarch, Scooby-Doo! The Grandson of Katrina Weatherly and Scooby-Doo! The Return of Augustus Raven, the main anti-villainess of Scooby-Doo! The Revenge of Augustus Raven and Scooby-Doo! Savage Retribution, the overarching villainess of Scooby-Doo! The Resurrection of Nancy Weatherly, and a supporting villainess in Scooby-Doo! The Revenge of Dennis Raven.
An ambitious and power-hungry female fighter, she is almost always responsible for the events of the games, but her impact seems to decrease during the events of Scooby-Doo! The Resurrection of Nancy Weatherly and Scooby-Doo! The Revenge of Dennis Raven, after her last humiliation defeat and apparent death after the events of Scooby-Doo! The Return of Augustus Raven, yet she is still the indirect reason of the events in those games as well. Her goal is to kill both her son-in-law and grandson to obtain their boar demon genes. Due to this, she is considered to be the archenemy of both her son-in-law, Augustus Raven and her grandson, Dennis Raven (her siblings-in-law's grand-nephew)
In Scooby-Doo! Savage Retribution, she regains her prominence as a character and it is revealed that Katrina herself wasn't directly responsible for the feud or the events that followed, but rather the only man she loved, Warren Weatherly. She was the host of the first, third, fourth, and seventh queen of the iron fist tournament being the final boss of the first and fourth games while being the sub-boss of the third and seventh. During the final battle, she was seemingly killed by her infamous son-in-law, Augustus Raven.

Being the matriarch of the infamous Weatherly family, Katrina (whose maiden name was never revealed) is the first daughter-in-law of Clyde and Nancy Weatherly, the mother of Jonah and Miranda Weatherly, the ex-wife of Warren Weatherly, the adoptive mother of Fauntleroy Donaldson, the sister-in-law of Kyle, Samantha and Gary Weatherly, the infamous mother-in-law of Paula Weatherly and Augustus Raven and the maternal grandmother of Dennis and Dustin Raven.

- Katrina is "the heavy" of Scooby-Doo!, being the main cause of the events of the series, besides the existence of the boar demon gene, which is Pharaoh 13's creation and centuries later could be found in Warren Weatherly from his side of the family.
- By revealing to her son-in-law Augustus Raven that she killed Warren Weatherly (Augustus's father-in-law) in "cold blood" and had her son-in-law to get revenge completely on his mother-in-law, throwing him off a cliff which may have awakened the boar demon gene, Augustus had inherited for Katrina's confirmation on him, and ruining his childhood, Katrina caused Augustus to grew up as a hateful and cold blooded man he is now and his own boar demon cells surely didn't help to become nicer.
- In reality, however Warren was the direct cause of Katrina's downfall, turning her into a paranoid lady she is now over the danger of the boar demon gene's existence, as his attempt to kill his ex-wife and son-in-law, but Katrina had no choice but to finish him off while heart-broken. Even if Katrina told her son-in-law the truth, it is unlikely that she would believe him considering Augustus wasn't aware of the boar demon gene at the time and would've likely though his mother-in-law was insane or was lying to him in order to cover her mistake. Ironically if Warren succeeded in killing Katrina, it is likely that he would've been the one who Augustus would've sworn vengeance against rather his mother-in-law, making Augustus's fall inevitable either way.
- Katrina's wrongdoings is trigger of various bad events in the storylines of many Scooby-Doo! supporting characters, such as Cassidy Williams, Hajime Tanaka, Louis Blackwell, Hiroshi Odokawa, Mami Tomoe, Jonah Weatherly, Jane Stern, Flippy, Homura Akemi, Kyoko Sakura, Madoka Kaname, Kyoko Sakura, Andrew Weatherly, Andrea Weatherly, Kenshiro Daimon, Koshiro Daimon, Lotte Jansson, Croix Meridies, Daryl Cavendish, and others.
- Although the Evil Entity is the main villain in Scooby-Doo! The Grandson of Katrina Weatherly, it is Katrina who awakened him for her own selfishness and greed, and is the one who used both Dennis Raven and Cassidy Williams for her own goal to capture the alien monster. Katrina is indirectly responsible for the death of Jane Stern's father-in-law Chester Roswell, the death of her daughter's father-in-law Terence Raven, and the disappearance of her elder grandson's paternal grandmother, Emily Raven (her son-in-law's mother and also her daughter's mother-in-law) by the Evil Entity.
