♫We're all brats, in a bind! 'Cause our school wants us for expirements! We know what we'll find, but we won't be resigned to being kindergarten tests, to exploit! Now's our time! We're an infantile infantry! We're here to destroy this whole school! So enjoy our little Kindergarten Coup!♫
~ The final version of the song's chorus/The students standing up to Applegate.

The Kindergarteners are the villanous main protagonists of Random Encounters' duology of songs based on the duology of indie games, Kindergarten.

They are the students of the titular kindergarten who, despite being toddlers, are self-aware of their school's dark secrets, and plan to destroy it.

They're all portrayed by AJ Pinkerton, who also portrayed the Purple Guy in the FNAF Musicals.

Biography[]

Kindergarten: The Musical[]

Making friends in Kindergarten can be a matter of life and death.
~ The first song's description

The song takes place during show and tell, Applegate decides to pick You first. He shows his yo-yo, much to Lily's amusement. Monty shows the stuff he's selling, during which Jerome and Cindy interrupt to tell You he can either trade for a hallpass from the former or have the latter as his "gorgeous wife." Buggs proceeds to show off his knife, that he claims he will use to kill Applegate.

We cut to the first chorus of the song. The janitor walks in with his cart being full of blood, which the students claim to be theirs. They are shown to be aware of their awful school, and try to hatch up a plan/coup. You claims they're being "dramatic", though they deny it, with Buggs supposedly not knowing what that means.

Applegate declares they have to continue show and tell. Cindy shows her "vegan biscuit" and claims that You got it as her "boyfriend", Jerome shows his laser-pointer while pointing it at Nugget, but the Janitor steals it while threatening the boy.

The second chorus shows the students distaste for the Janitor, but Applegate tells the Janitor to show off something for show and tell, he tells the story of how he stabbed an unknown student to death with his mop ("Mr. Sweepy"), much to the horror of the students. Applegate claims she'll give stars to students if they're her "special little rats", but she threatens to poison them if they make her miss her smoke break.

Show and tell continues. Nugget shows his "nugget of friendship", which he also gifted to You, he claims it both symbolises their friendship and "causes lives to end." Lily shows Nugget's creepy love letter, which Applegate attempts to read before being interrupted by Nugget.

The students, during the final chorus, get fed up with their superiors, revealing they're aware of becoming experiments for the principal. They decide to stand up to their abusers and express their desires to destriy the whole school, which leaves both Applegate and even the Janitor horrified. Applegate tries to trade them Monstermon cards, but Nuggets claims they should throw her in the nugget cave.

KINDERGARTEN 2: The Musical[]

Okay, alright, don't be scared. It's a new day, it's a new school. Just a fresh started... kindergarten.
~ "You" on his first day of the new school.

The video starts with You on his first day of the new school, seeming a little nervous thanks to what happened in his old school. He proceeds to be greeted by Penny, he tells her he's new to the school, but she doesn't listen and sends You to study hall, much to his confusion. The second set of students tell You about Penny's behavior.

During the song, we see the original set of students struggling in their new school, such as Lily trying to sneak around and not be seen by Penny, Jerome trying to use his bombs, presumably to gain revenge at Lily, before being taken by Penny, and Monty, now handicapped, having to give Penny his contraband. Buggs also gets his food stolen by Penny because her mommy, the principal, doesn't allow that kind of food, which annoys him.

We further see the students having problems. Monty had to give her more contraband twice, Cindy was tricked into shoving a fork into an electrical outlet, Nugget having to both add himself a new arm during gym class and Applegate threatning to cut all of his hair for pills, Buggs being sent to study hall for starting a foodfight. Nugget expresses his desires to build a new nugget cave, but can't due to fear of Penny seeing him. We also see Jerome getting kicked out of the girl's bathroom and Cindy failing to stick gum in Penny's hair.

Buggs is being inspected by Penny for his knife, meanwhile You finds Penny's remote that controls her. Allowing Buggs to get away but causes Penny to go after You. While Penny prepares her laser eyes, You presses the self-destruct button, killing Penny presumably for good.

Kindergarten 3: The Musical[]

On Twitter/X, Random Encounters have expressed interest in making a musical based on the upcoming third instalment in the Kindergarten series, Kindergarten 3, whenever it comes out. It's safe to assume that the Protagonist, Nugget, Cindy and Monty will return. (It's unknown for the other students, since they weren't seen in the official trailer)

Members[]

  • The Protagonist, officially referred to as "You": The, well, protagonist of the songs (mainly the first) and the "normal" guy. He starts off as the only-sane man to his classmates' craziness, before joining them in their attempt to destroy the school.
  • Monty: The salesman. A ginger with glasses who's, presumably, also the smart kid.
  • Jerome: The son of the principal and the self-proclaimed cool kid. He possibly stole his dad's hallpass.
  • Cindy: The pretty girl. She's the protagonist's girlfriend and a "vegan".
  • Nugget: The weird kid. A nugget-obsessed kid who (mostly) speaks in third-person.
  • Buggs: The bully. A psychopath who wants to kill the teacher and carries knifes.
  • Lily: The lonely girl. Unlike her original counterpart, she's just as psychotic as the other students.

Trivia[]

  • Lily has gone though adaptational villany in a way. All of the other students, including Monty and Jerome who don't have Villains Wiki pages, were somewhat amoral in the original duology, but Lily was mostly heroic in the original. Here though she's perfectly willing to help his classmates destroy the school.
  • Despite the amount of references to the OG games. Billy is never even mentioned.
    • Though the principal's experiments still exist here, and the janitor tells a story about how he killed a kid with his mop, so it's possible that Billy still exists.
  • One of the things that Monty is selling is a Bendy doll that was first seen in Random Encounters' first Bendy song, Bendy and the Ink Musical (feat. MatPat).
