“ | I was weak to trust who my friends claimed to be, and under my watch, the Box was stolen. The Wu’s chased after its thief, and we never saw them again. It cost us everything, and after a thousand years, no one remembers our legacy. But now, the Box is back! And with its power, Newtopia shall finally return to its former glory! And who better to make this all possible than a daughter of Wu herself! | „ |
King Andrias Leviathan is one of the three main antagonists (alongside Marcy and The Core) of the Amphibia fanfiction A Moth to a Flame made by MagicMan001 and TheAllTimeGreatest.
Initially, presenting himself as a kind-hearted king of Amphibia and trustworthy ally to the heroes. In reality, he is a tyrant who seeks to invade and take over the Earth for conquest across the multiverse. However, in this version he has convinced Marcy to join his side, being partly responsible for making her more unhinged and psychotic than the original.
Personality[]
King Andrias retains most of the characteristics from his original counterpart; a manipulative, petty, megalomaniacal tyrant who seeks to rule and control all, whilst at the same time being a genuinely fun-loving, childish old man who is quite skilled at manipulating Marcy, what with him promising her to give her and her friends on countless adventures across the multiverse like in the original series.
However, where this version differs from the actual series itself, is that instead of treating her as an expendable pawn (while also harboring deep-seated remorse about his actions), Andrias treats Marcy as his equal now she's all-in support of becoming multiversal conquerors having a genuine villainous friendship. He praises the girl for her role in getting the Calamity Box to him and finishing what her ancestors started, proudly states she excelled all his expectations and is truly worthy of the name 'Wu', believing it to be fate. After coming out of her coma, he is more patient and compassionate towards her, wanting to make amends as her mortal injury was his fault feeling genuine shame.
Despite having Marcy on his side, King Andrias still takes pleasure in watching her tell her friends she got them trapped in Amphibia on purpose to see their reactions to their former friend's betrayal. Although he was one who pressured her to do so in the first place, King Andrias admits that he found Marcy's increasingly erratic and unhinged speech to try and convince her human friends to join them hard to watch.
He's also highly intelligent and calculating, having manipulated Marcy onto his side willingly as his right-hand enforcer, this is even more effective than canon as he not only eliminates the Trio's powers, which are some of the few things capable of stopping him, but bring one of them on their side while cutting ties with the other heroes. Andrias also threatens to have Marcy drop Sprig to his death unless Polly puts the Calamity Box back, then gives the girl go ahead anyway because Anne called Sprig her best friend, noticed the jealous Marcy's livid expression and he wants Anne to feel the pain of that loss.
Andrias also felt legitimately let-down when he learned that Lady Olivia and General Yunan were never onboard with his plans for multi-dimensional domination and tried to "rescue" Marcy from him, hoping to share the spoils with them. He all but tells Olivia that he considers Marcy to be the only one he can trust (sans his master), even going so far as to introduce her directly to the Core and explain their intentions, successfully bringing her in on their evil plan and becoming a willing host.
