King K. Rool is the main antagonist of the Donkey Kong Country web series Donkey Kong Country Abridged. He is the leader of the Kremling Krew who seeks to steal the Crystal Titty and use it to become a model for the playgirl magazine.
He's voiced by Uncle Al himself.
Personality[]
“ | King K. Rool: It never ends, Klump. Failure after failure. Why can't we ever come out victorious? General Klump: I don't think that the brains are there for you, your Round-Bounciness. |
„ |
~ King K. Rool lamenting in his lair after being beaten by DK. |
Just like in the show's source material, K. Rool is a greedy tyrant who seeks to steal the Crystal Titty. With that said, he isn't the smartest crocodile out there. As Klump puts it the best, the brains aren't there for him. Despite his overall incompetence, K. Rool can come up with decent enough plans and succeed such as when he sent a robot clone of Candy to cut DK's hair to weaken him, so getting the Crystal Titty would be easier for him.
K. Rool appears to be perverted, having once shoved the Crystal Titty into his buttocks to absorb its energy. This could probably just be a kink he has for doing stuff like that. He has a bad temper too as he once yelled at Klump for questioning his authority before throwing a book at him. One interesting trait about K. Rool, however, is that he's apparently insecure about his own body as he only wants to use the Crystal Titty to make himself attractive for the playgirl magazine and nothing more.
Synopsis[]
Big Dumb Day[]
King K. Rool first appears when he and his army arrive at Cranky's house. He has his soldiers to shoot the Crackheads at roofs of the house before marching there to get the Titty, only for DK and Diddy to arrive and take them all out. Not wanting to deal with them, K. Rool escapes by jumping off the bridge.
Back in his lair, K. Rool express his anger about being unable to get the Titty to Klump, so he comes up with a brand new plan. He shows him a book that explains DK will become incredibly weakened if he were to lose his hair. Klump tells K. Rool that he and the others were only pretending to be dumb back at the bridge. K. Rool yells at him in response and throws the book at him.
Later, K. Rool decides to check on his minions to see if they came up with the plan to cut DK's hair yet. Klump reveals that they couldn't think of a plan, so they decided to create a robot clone of Candy to make it for them. The robot's head wakes up and starts calling K. Rool "bitch" repeatedly, much to his shock and horror. Despite this, K. Rool orders the robot to be put together. The moment it's put together, the robot starts to sing, only to begin malfunctioning. Despite this, K. Rool decides it's good enough and sends it to cut DK's hair.
Later at Cranky's house, K. Rool arrives with his "dog" Krusha to get the Titty. Cranky calls forth DK to take care of Krusha for him. However, because he got weak from getting his hair cut by robot Candy, DK is easily beaten by Krusha and is sent flying to Crystal Titty's safe, revealing the Crystal. K. Rool declares the crystal his and tries to shove it into his butt, only for Cranky to tell him that that's not how its power is used. K. Rool decides to pull the crystal out and take it to his lair. Cranky tries to tell him get back, only for K. Rool to say "No." from the long distance.
When he returns to his lair, K. Rool announces to his army that the Crystal Titty is finally his before questioning how to use it. Klump asks him if he tried sticking it on his butt, only for K. Rool to lie to him and say that he didn't.
Because he couldn't figure out the password to Cranky's internet history, K. Rool tasks Krusha to put the Titty somewhere safe until he figures out the password, only for the now recovered DK to break in and punch the Titty out of Krusha's hand, sending it flying to the sky, presumably never to be seen again. K. Rool declares that nobody has the crystal anymore to DK because of him.
Ape Fool Young[]
K. Rool first appears looking at Cranky singing through one of the windows of his house with Klump, laughing at his shenanigans. They then break into Cranky's house and demand him to give K. Rool the Titty. When Cranky refuses, K. Rool has his minions hang him on a golden statue of DK. K. Rool then tries to figure out the password for the Crystal Titty, only for DK and Diddy to come nearby, forcing him and his minions to hide. Unfortunately for K. Rool, he hides right next to a door which DK unknowingly slams him with. As DK and Diddy look for the snacks and the vacuum respectively, the Kremlings take their leave while the flattened K. Rool cries in pain.
Back in his lair, K. Rool explains his latest plan to get to the Titty to Klump, only for Cranky, who now became younger thanks to the forbidden Hawaiian punch he made, to bust in to fight them. Not recognizing him, K. Rool sends Cranky to the prison, planning to roast him for dinner. He later watches Cranky inside his prison via camera and comes to a conclusion that he's a monkey due to his lack of sandals. Cranky angrily calls him out for this, calling him a lot dumber than he looks.
It wasn't long until Cranky reverts back to his old age when he tries to escape the prison and is taken to K. Rool. K. Rool decides that Cranky will be useful for getting the crystal before sending him back to his prison.
K. Rool and the Kremlings then take Cranky to his house to force him to open the crystal's safe for him. Before he could get to the crystal, a barrel containing baby DK rushes in and crashes into the safe, revealing the crystal and sending it flying onto DK's hand. K. Rool tries to get DK to give him the crystal, only for him to throw it to Diddy instead. K. Rool demands Diddy to give him the crystal, only for him to run away alongside DK. K. Rool demands Klump to make a plan to get the Titty for him.
The Kremlings arrive at DK's house and shoot the Crackheads at it, causing DK and Diddy to fall off. K. Rool then approaches DK and tries to giving him the crystal by promising him bananas. When DK refuses, K. Rool tries to brainwash the ape into giving him the crystal via his ancient hypnotic Kremling dance moves of doom, only to find out they're not working and just orders DK to give him the Titty instead. Unfortunately for him, DK reverts back to an adult. K. Rool tries to get out of here, only DK to punch in the eye.
Back in his lair, K. Rool laments about his plans always failing and that he just wanted to be a model for playgirl magazine before drinking the Hawaiian punch, only to find out it's actually pee with a hint of braincells.

Trivia[]
- The image of King K. Rool projected on the Crystal Tiddy at the beginning of "Big Dumb Day" is depicted as inflation.

- K. Rool's "What the Deuce?" quote upon seeing baby DK for the first time in "Ape Fool Young" is likely a reference to Family Guy.
