The King Koopa also known as simply Koopa is the main antagonist of the Mario fan-animation Mario Brothers. He is the ruler of the Goombas.
Biography[]
At the beginning of the series, Koopa is first seen telling his troops that they will invade the Mushroom Kingdom and kill the princess in the night (this is later revealed to be a lie as he only plans to kill her if she doesn't tell them the location of the Life Mushrooms). At that moment, Koopa is then attacked by the Mario brothers and order his followers to kill them. When they failed, Koopa attacks them himself. He successfully kills Luigi with his fire breath before the flying Koopa Troopas take him away to start the invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom.
In the next chapter, he leads his army in the invasion. Despite the Toads being prepared, it wouldn't be enough to stop their attack and he and his forces destroyed all the defences and killed most of the toads in their way and kidnaped the princess in order to learn how to create the Life Mushrooms from her, but not before killing one of her guards. Meanwhile, Mario was still mourning Luigi.
The third chapter reveals that during the attack he also blocked the door of a shelter, not knowing that it contained the Life Mushrooms. Later, he sent his troops to stop the toads who are helping Mario and kidnapped them, so they could help him to create the Life Mushrooms. After they fail, he sends more of his troops who were also defeated by Mario.
In the last chapter of the series, Koopa and his forces were waiting for Mario and the Toads. He order his forces to attack them when they arrive, only for most of them to be defeated by Mario, partially thanks to the powers of the Fire Flower he ate earlier. Koopa and the rest of his forces go inside the castle where Mario and some of the Toads chase him. He eventually faces Mario on the bridge and tells him that he will kill him just like his brother. They start to fight and Koopa gets stuck between the rubble of his castle that's collapsing as result of the battle. It wasn't long until the bridge collapses, causing him and the princess to fall into lava and die.
Trivia[]
- Along with his AOW incarnation, this is one of the two versions of Bowser to successfully kill the Mario brothers.
