~ Klaus reminding that he wants to destroy the US and it's populace |
Doctor Klaus Dustorph, also known by his more public identity Sir Darren Thompkins, is the main antagonist of the 2019 Fantech live-action TV show The Word. He is a former science teacher at Jay Westler's high-school and is Sabrina Tedderson's boss and secret employer. In actual, Klaus was a former Nazi scientist who wanted to avenge his father and bomb the US until it crumbles.
He is portrayed by Patrick Dempsey, who also played Dylan Gould in the Transformers film series.
History[]
Past[]
Doctor Klaus Dustorph served The Nazi miltiary force as one of their great scientists and genius masterminds. His father was a general of that secret massive unit which worked on technology that was as good as today's smartphone companies. However, his father was killed during the war against other countries. Klaus disguised himself as a teacher at Jay Westler's school under the identity of Sir Darren Thompkins. Thereafter, he became an ordinary American citizen and he even got married to one of his secret agents as well as his femme fatel, ruthless yet loving mercenary Sabrina Tedderson.
Plotting to bomb up the school[]
Darren has then blamed Principal Henry Smith for killing Dylan, as he (presumably) did not know that Jensen Williams was responsible for that accident. Later, Jane McKormick came to his science classroom and asked him for the secret structure of his bombs which Samuel Cunningham is secretly looking to use them as part of Jensen's agenda. Samuel and another of Jensen's goons (Alfred Hensworth) have however combined their efforts in order to capture Mr. Thompkins and take him as a hostage. They brought him to Jane, and Samuel asked her about the formula. However, Dylan's ghost has saved both Jane and Darren by possesing Alfred's gun. Alfred retreated in fear. The other three remained in the room, and Darren Thompkins took Jane and Dylan to his lab at the school's indoors. He revealed to them a file which gave the full instructions of how to build the bombs. However, before he got the file and showed it to them, Jane said "the word" which brought Dylan back to life. Darren however was confronted by his AI system which has sent a hologram of Mr. X (which Jane and Dylan believed it was actually Mr. Smith in disguise) to their room. Darren at first refused to leave the lab and his worksheets behind, but Dylan convinced him to join their fight against Mr. Smith and Jensen. After that, Dylan found a file at the principal's office which revealed Mr. Smith's true intentions; to bomb up the school for his father.
True colors and identity exposed[]
Later, Mr. Smith spoke to his students at the football yard. Jensen signaled Alfred and his other goons to start the attack on the school. Darren stood and watched from the side as he guarded that nothing suspicious would happen during the speech. Dylan and Jane however took over the stage and told the crowd about Mr. Smith's crimes and his holograms of Mr. X. Dylan also revealed them about the file which Henry has kept in his office and warned the crowd that Henry Smith is planning to bomb them all up. Smith however denied all these facts, before he got shot in his abdomen. Alfred then came to shoot everyone, starting with Jane and Dylan. However, Dylan and Jane managed to expose to the crowd Jensen's plans and his true colors. The crowd left the area as they were ashamed of Jensen's behaviour, egoism and selfishness. However, Jensen revealed a softer side to his ruthlessnes, as he cried to Dylan and Jane about the fact that he was bullied all his life, unable to find any friends without harassing them. Dylan and Jane give him a chance to learn about true friendship with a warm glance. However, one of the bombs explode in the school yard, and the explosion causes Jensen to fall flat on the ground and die. After that tragic event, the schoolyard was bombing itself up, and whilist, Darren revealed his true colors. He told both Jane and Dylan that he was planning all along to frame Mr. Smith and Jensen for his crimes to avoid suspicion so he could eventually bomb up the school and then destroy the entire US territory. He revealed his true identity to them; he was a former Nazi militant and scientist in the name of Klaus Dustorph. Dustorph then revealed each step of his masterplan. He was first going to write the files in order to frame Principal Henry Smith and give false evidence against him. He later placed artificially intelligent holograms all around the school, as he programmed them and tried to frame Mr. Smith with their help. After he finnished revealing his ambitious plans to Dylan and Jane, Jane told him that he cannot destroy them since they love each other and that they will find a way to get to the police and tell them about Klaus' plans. Klaus however implies that he already bombed up the police station nearby. After Jane and Dylan left him behind and retreated in their car, Sabrina entered the scene and she was ordered by an enraged Klaus to kill both Dylan and Jane before they could foil his plans.
Personality[]
At first presented as a kind, understanding and supportive teacher at Jay Westler's high school, Klaus Dustorph has revealed his true colors and his identity and therefore, in actual he is a cold-hearted, megalomaniacal, cunning, ambitious, vengeful, enraged and sedusive man of terror. He organizes the ultimate destruction of the school, and after that, he plots to bomb the entire US until it shall crumble. He tries to manipulate Jane McKormick and Dylan Ezera (as a ghost and as a human). However, he fails after revealing to them his true colors, with hopes to turn them into his own enforcers. He does however show some respect and true kindness to his wife and mercenary, Sabrina Tedderson. However, even that may be one of his manipulations or deceptions by the end of the day. He also seems to honor his father and to have some heavy feelings towards him. However, Klaus is unable of being kind to whoever he sees as his enemy, and therefore, he is a ruthless and tyrannical terrorist in general.
