Laa-Laa is a mechanical incarnation of the Teletubbies character, created for the Tubbyland Activity Centre. She is a major antagonist in both the Five Nights at Tubbyland trilogy and the official remake, The Tubbyland Archives.

Biography[]

FNaTL 1[]

Previously an animatronic performer at the Tubbyland restaurant, Laa-Laa was decommissioned along with the other Tubbybots after the Custard Machine Explosion Incident left all four in various states of disrepair. Much later, Tubbyland Entertainment attempts to re-open the business, re-activating Laa-Laa so that she may be repaired.

She first starts on the Performance Stage next to Dipsy, then moves around the building at random when active. She can appear in the Party Area, Party Hall, Repair Room, Repair Hall, and the Left Door. When she's at the door, it must be closed on her until she leaves. (Since the door has no lights, the player will have to watch her on the cameras to know when she's there.) If the door isn't closed, she'll soon enter the Office and end the night with a jumpscare. The plush version of Laa-Laa works in the same way, though her positions on the cameras are different on top of her jumpscare scream being higher in pitch.

FNaTL 2[]

With the re-opening of the restaurant, Laa-Laa has been fixed and upgraded as a new model. She once again activates on the Tubby Stage, though now with Po 2.0 next to her instead. Like in the last game, Laa-Laa will move randomly throughout the rooms, showing up in the Party Room, Dipsy's Arcade, the Tubby Toilets, or Tubby Hall. When in Tubby Hall, there's a chance she'll enter the Office, after which the smoke machine will have to be activated to drive her out before she attacks.

The Tubbyland Archives: Act 1[]

Once again, Laa-Laa will start her progression on the Theater stage, activating at the start of Night 2. She hides in the darkness on the cameras, so that usually only her glowing eyes can be seen, and has two different routes to the Office. Her first path is to move to the Dining Hall to Party Room 1, then entering the Office. The alternate route is for her to go to the Main Hall to the Repair Room and then the Storage area, finally arriving at the Office. Her progression is not stoppable, and the only way to avoid her is by ducking behind the curtains in the Office, to which she'll enter the room shortly after, look around briefly, and then leave. Not hiding from her quickly enough will result in her attacking, getting a game over. However, she's able to move to the Kitchen instead of the Office both from Party Room 1 and Storage, so it's recommended to first check the Kitchen camera before hiding as to not waste time on a false threat.

Laa-Laa is also the third post-night minigame's playable character, where the player is told to guide her to Noo-Noo, who will be dumping out human remains into the garbage in the Party Room. She also appears briefly at the end of the fifth minigame, watching as Employee 3 is killed by Noo-Noo. In the sixth minigame, she's an enemy who must be carefully navigated around as she wanders the building in search of the player, quickly giving chase and killing them if she spots her target.

Appearance[]

Laa-Laa is a yellow Tubbybot who's been damaged as a result of the Custard Machine Explosion Incident. Her mascot head is completely gone, revealing and endoskeleton head with large, black eyes with white pupils. She has a large tear across her chest, and her suit has several green smudges due to it rotting. Her plush looks like a smaller version of her un-damaged self, with stubby limbs.

Laa-Laa 2.0 has had her costume replaced and refurbished, with her eyes being much smaller and her jaw being split into two parts. Her eye sockets are empty and black during Nightmare Night.

The updated model for The Tubbyland Archives is similar in appearance to the original FNaTL 1 design, though now with more detail. She has several rips and holes all over her costume, exposing the endoskeleton inside, and many wires poking out all over her body. Her white pupils are now ring shaped, and her shoulders are notably more damaged.

Laa-Laa is the only Tubbybot in which all of her variants can kill the player.
Out of all the Tubbybots in FNaTL 1, the creator Clicky stated that Laa-Laa is the one she finds the scariest.
Her jumpscare scream is a heavily edited train horn.
She used to twitch when in Dining Room 1, though this was later removed for unknown reasons.
As seen in the Tubby Hall, Laa-Laa 2.0 is somehow able to twist her head at a 90 degree angle.
Clicking on Laa-Laa 2.0's Custom Night icon will have her say "Twitty let's spittle" in a text-to-speech voice.
Act 1 Laa-Laa is inspired by FNaF 1's Freddy Fazbear, as both hide in the darkness with only their eyes visible when moving around.
