No, but really, fuck Romeo.

Oh it’s cool. Prenups weren’t invented yet. I’m good.
~ Lady Capulet’s last words in the play.

Lady Capulet is a major antagonist in the theatrical parody, Romeo and Juliet but without any rehearsals, a farcical adaptation of the iconic play with the same name.

She is the wife of Lord Capulet and the matriarch of House Capulet. She is also one of Romeo’s rivals.

She is portrayed by Tori Gowland.

Personality[]

Lady Capulet is shown to be an egotistical and vain spouse who cares about money more than anything else. She is also xenophobic, as during a conversation with her daughter Juliet, she genuinely hates the idea that her daughter is in love with a member from House Montague. Another example is when at the aftermath of the battle against Tybalt, she mocks Romeo for being banished from Verona.

Despite this, she genuinely cares about her daughter’s health and safety, as when she witnesses her corpse on the ground, she calls for her husband for help and is shown to be genuinely horrified by the sight of her body. However, she’s more sad about not being able to inherit Paris’ wealth and fortune more than her own daughter being killed.

Trivia[]

  • Her accent is shown to be inconsistent, but usually she speaks in a New York accent the most.
