Lake Jean Wagner, often referred to simply as Lake, is the titular main antagonist in Together Again: A Lake's Funland Story.

He is the main performer at Lake's Funland Diner, having previously performed at Lake's Cafe before it was acquired by Tomochii Incorporated. At Lake's Funland Diner, he shares the stage with Haiden Bonanza and Chick the Bird. Lake is possessed by Harlan R. Magwood, the grandchild of Oscar Magwood, who made a deal with a demonic entity.

On Night Three, Lake becomes particularly active and is notorious for being responsive to light, as noted by Rachel F. Waters. To defend against Lake, players must use the flashlight feature integrated into the cameras. If Lake catches you, he will try to resist the flashlight before retreating in distress. When he reaches your office, he will make a rapid dash towards your station, leaving you with only seconds to intercept him before he reaches you.

He is voiced by ItsSampai.

Appearance[]

Lake Wagner is an animatronic humanoid resembling a slim adult. He has medium-length brown hair swept to the left, just above his glowing green eyes, which hint at the haunted presence within him. His mouth, like that of the other humanoid animatronics, is permanently cast in a disturbing yet laid-back grin. He wears a blue entertainer's top hat adorned with a shiny black ribbon. His attire is dapper and old-fashioned, featuring a dark blue bow tie, a black shirt, and a white waistcoat or blazer. His hands are covered with blue gloves, and he wears black pants. Standing beside him on stage is his microphone, which also serves as a cane.

Backstory[]

In the late 1950s, a young Oscar Magwood pitched a set of three animatronic mascots for a cafeteria to Tomochii Inc.: Lake and Abigail, a pair of characters resembling a couple, along with their dog.

In The Lake Café, Lake and Abigail were presented as husband and wife, serving as a representation of Oscar's ideal parents based on the neighbors he had as a child. Neither character had a distinct personality; they were programmed to sing popular songs from the era and quote dialogue from well-known films from the 1940s and 50s.

After the grand opening of Lake's Funland in the 1970s, Lake became an iconic character over the years, with his personality traits evolving over time.

In the late 1980s, a cartoon show featuring Lake and the other characters was produced and aired in 1987 on Canadian television, which further increased the character's popularity. That same year, the model seen in the game (AG4.40) arrived at the restaurant. This new model would later be acquired by Handshaker after making a deal with Oscar. Many years later, it shared Lake's body with Harlan Magwood following his death.

Sir Memphisto (formerly known as Heisenmorg) believes that Lake and Harlan are complementary characters; without one, the other cannot exist. This is a primary reason why he will not return in The Magic Hour.
Prior to being named Lake, his original name was "Blake," which was given when he was created in 2015.
Lake's model was updated in 2022. According to Sir Memphisto, he did not feel unique enough.
His final design was inspired by Tim Burton's Willy Wonka and the Once-ler from The Lorax.
Lake was the only model created by Nathan Zica and was the cheapest, commissioned for five dollars.
Memphisto's least favorite model to work with is Lake's model.
Lake's first voice actor was replaced after failing to respond to Memphisto's direct messages.
Interestingly, Lake's personality closely resembles Oscar's.
Lake and Chick are the only animatronics possessed by children that lack a secret minigame.
