Lavos is the main antagonist of Chrono Trigger: The Musical.
Much like its original counterpart, it's a parasitic alien creature who crashed into Earth millions of years ago, resting inside the planet until 1999 A.D., where it would destroy the world. Though its actions are almost exactly the same as its original counterpart, this version of Lavos's personality is made much clearer, that being of an omnicidal nihilist hellbent on ending all life on the planet.
Due to having multiple voices, Lavos is voiced by several voice actors, including UprisingAttorney, CyberneticPInkeye, and Alex Beckham.
Personality
Unlike its original counterpart whose personality is vague, Lavos is depicted as a being that preaches omnicide. It makes it clear that it wants to destroy humanity after years of resting and that it wants to devour the energy from Earth to continue with its omnicidal goals on other planets. It believes that regardless of what happens, the future will not change, and that those who oppose it shall all learn.
Though he seems calm for most of the musical, during the final fight, Lavos entirely looses any control he had, showing severe frustration with Crono and his allies for getting in his way and not understanding his design, screeching loudly, and doing whatever he can to kill them.
Biography
Lavos would crash onto Earth millions of years ago, resting underneath the surface. For many millennia, Lavos would rest there to gain enough power to destroy the world, feeding off of humans that it would farm there as well.
In 1999 A.D., Lavos would arise from the surface and soon wreak havoc on to the entire world, releasing what appeared to be fiery needles from the sky, destroying countless cities and killing billions of people across the Earth. It would soon drain the entire world of its energy, ultimately destroying it. Upon discovering footage of the Day of Lavos in 2300 A.D. via time travel, Crono and his allies quickly plan on stopping it somehow.
As the heroes continue on their mission, Lavos would do what it could to stop the heroes from getting in its way. Lavos would soon return in the Zeal Kingdom and attack the heroes, engaging in a fight. Toward the end of the fight, Lavos would successfully kill Crono with a single quick blast.

- Due to it being a monstrous being, Lavos is voiced by three separate actors to presumably give it a more threatening voice.
- One of Lavos's victims during his musical number has a strikingly similar appearance to Frisk from Undertale.
