Villain Overview

Lord of Darkness, soon enough you'll be among us. Just a little more... HAHAHAHA!
~ Letícia's introduction, claiming to bring Valron back.

Letícia Azevedo, known in the story as Letícia only, is the secondary antagonist of rezendeevil's 2019 fantasy YouTube series Escola de Bruxos (Wizards Academy).

She is a character based on Harry Potter's Bellatrix Lestrange, she is known to be one of the most powerful witches in the world of the wizards, as well as one of the most dangerous. She is Valron's sidekick and his most faithful servant.

She was portrayed by the youtuber of the same name Letícia Azevedo.

Biography[]

Apparently, Letícia has a big history of crimes and terrorism among the dark wizards. Although further details of her past is unknown, it's confirmed had she had some relationship with Professor Carol, one of the strongest teachers at Wizards Academy, and later turned to her arch-enemy. All that's known is that she became a big follower of the dark side and Valron's most faithful servant, which implies the fact she was present the time Philip became Valron while he was still alive fifty years ago.

She goes looking for ways to bring Valron back to life during the time along with his other followers. She first appears laughing while promising his return of the dark lord at the forest.

One day, when darkness had taken over the day and weather, she goes to the forest and summons Valron's surviving spirit and get the last needed hints in order to bring him back. Valron tells he only needs the Wand of the Princesses to finally assume his body, but she gets rebuked by him because she hadn't gotten the wand yet. She promises to bring the wand next time so Valron can return, and helps his spirit to disappear since his energy was running out and gets a move on to get the wand.

It turns out the students eventually find out the Wand of the Princesses belonged to Professor Carol, which made them presume her life was in serious danger.

With Letícia knowing this, in order to lure Carol to her and get her wand, she kidnaps Virgínia, which was one of her students at school, and holds her hostage so Carol would come after her to fight her and free Virgínia. Carol appears behind Letícia while she fools around the forbidden forest. Carol tries to make her collaborate peacefully by saying they didn't need to get into any conflict if she just gave up Virgínia, but Letícia claims in a provoking tone that conflict was exactly what she wanted. Letícia then explains that the reason why she kidnapped one of her students was to get her wand for Valron, and start fighting with her.

Letícia, cheating in the battle, teleported away twice from Carol, realizing she had grown stronger and needed to catch her unprepared. The first time, she fails, since Carol managed to defend, but the second time was a true cheat, because Letícia appeared quietly behind Carol and walked along until she finally cast the killing spell Draco[3] upon Carol, killing her instantly once it hit her on the chest when she turned around, but was too late for her to defend. Letícia takes the wand and teleports away to revive Valron.

Since then, the student she kidnapped, Virgínia, was never seen again. Later on, it is confirmed that Virgínia had been killed since Rezende claims he felt the energy from her along with all the other fallen wizards, which is a clear proof Letícia had not only Carol murdered but Virgínia as well, only that Virgínia's death was offscreen unlike Carol's.

She returns to the depths of the forest and cast an invoking spell along with the Wand of the Princesses to successfully bring Valron back. When he returns to life, she gets harshly rebuked by Valron about her murdering Carol, and even was almost tortured by his spell after she claims it was necessary because she wouldn't give her wand up. But she gets saved by Valron's change of mind, where he says to her that it wasn't a big matter, because they would need to do it at some point anyway. Letícia keeps appreciating Valron's happiness for being back physically while he admires his power, and she is entrusted by him the mission of gathering the rest of his followers in order to make his legion complete again. She happily accepts while Valron keeps appreciating and showing her the return of his power.

However, Letícia gets back from her mission unsuccessful in reuniting Valron's legion and, for her misfortune, Valron gets mad and painfully tortures her for failing the mission. Letícia keeps scared down under Valron's power while he keeps telling his followers don't have the choice of failing in whatever he asks them to do, and entrusts her to spread the news that he had come back to life, so it would be easier to gather the rest of his followers.

In the morrow, Letícia comes telling Valron she succeeded in making the whole wizard world know about his return and in gathering the rest of the followers. The next three to four months, Letícia only appears shortly while Valron explains her his schemes and stays awaiting for her next act while Valron put his plans to work, like brainwashing Rezende, fighting Principal Álvaro and infecting him.

After about four months straight after Valron and Álvaro's fight, Álvaro was already weak enough for them to come in action, so Valron says to Letícia for her to bring the students Rezende, João and Ana with a spell for him to measure their powers and tell them what he needed to tell. Once Letícia brings them to their territory, she also uses a spell to paralyze them and make their wands vanish so they couldn't use them. In the mean time, she mocks Rezende and explains she brought them there for Valron, because she does anything for him. She also sadistically gloats laughing about the murder of Carol when Rezende gets angry at her for that, then she leaves the place before Valron comes.

Prior to their final battles, where Valron would try to defeat Rezende and finally take over the world of magic, Valron tells Letícia to go to the forbidden forest where his dark book was hidden under a spell. He tells her he feared the students had discovered his secret of his power with the help of the late Álvaro's diary, he entrusts her again to stop and kill whoever was trying to go after his book. Already at the forest, when João is revealing the book, Letícia appears along with it to stop João from destroying the book. While she fought him, he almost gets overpowered by her, but when he was nearly down for Letícia's power, the energy he felt of honoring the fallen wizards was so great it managed to break through Letícia's dark magic and knock her down and losing her wand for João. She crawls backwards down in the dirt begging for João to not be harsh and that they could talk, but João says he wasn't willing to talk to her because of her crimes, including murdering Carol. With that, João finally defeats the evil witch by petrifying her. And with her defeat, João was able to destroy the book which also led to Valron's death at the academy afterwards.

Since Letícia was petrified only, and nothing more was seen or heard about her afterwards, it is unknown if the spell was undone by some other dark wizard and brought her back again, or if she actually died by staying still as a stone for eternity or even shattering like a stone would.

Personality[]

Although Letícia is a homage character to Bellatrix Lestrange, she is less evil in comparison, but the same malefic and annoying nature in her personality remains. Letícia is a sadistic terrorist who feels joy in the suffering of others, she also displays a big loyalty to the dark side since she became Valron's right-hand, and does anything he asks for, as when he asks her to spread the news that he was back again, to call all his followers together and to abduct the three students at the academy, Ana, Rezende and João, for interrogation.

Although sadistic while going against her enemies and the light wizards, she is still a respectable helper when it comes to helping Valron and even feels sorry for not accomplishing the mission of gathering the followers at first, which made Valron extremely frustrated into torturing her, but even so, Letícia's loyalty allows her to let it go and succeed in her second attempt to reunite the followers.

Trivia[]

  • Although the role of Letícia's character was considerably well played by Letícia, it is believed that the role would've been better if the character had been played by another of Rezende's friends called Lais Bianchessi, regarding how nasty and mad the character she played in Vida Escolar was.
