Lieutenant Rebecca Obsidian (Shortly known as Lt. Obsidian) is the main antagonist of the Inkopolis Chaos Trilogy. She serves as the unseen overarching antagonist of Inkopolis Chaos 1 and 2, and the main antagonist of Inkopolis Chaos 3. She is the new leader of the octarians, who has a deep hatred for inklings, and wishes to wipe them out for good, along with all the octolings that joined them.
She also returns in the following oneshots: “An Octolings Remorse”
Lt. Obsidian is a delusional, callous octoling who has no regard for anyone except herself and her ego. She tries to use her past as an excuse for her horrible actions, even though they do not excuse her actions in the slightest, even getting called out for lying about parts of it. She thinks that everything she does is justified, even her sadistic and murderous crimes.
She is shown to be very sadistic. She enjoys hurting and killing those who she thinks deserves it, and you don’t have to do much to be on that list. If your an inkling, she will make sure you suffer and die. If your an octoling who deserts, she will treat you like an inkling. She even has no respect for octolings who are loyal to them, even killing some of her own minions, treating them harshly and outright stating she doesn’t care if they die.
She also appears to be sophisticated, often trying to keep her cool and tries to manipulate people into getting what she wants. She will sometimes lure you into a deal, but once she’s got what she wants, she will go back on that deal immediately. An example is after she frees Scarlet from prison at the cost of money, she kills the warden to get her money back. Behind her calm facade, she is very cold and ruthless, or if you anger her enough, she reveals what she truly is deep down: An aggressive crazy person.
She sometimes acts very prideful, calling herself the Octarian Queen, and making everyone respect and fear her. For example, in the concentration camps, she terrifies her prisoners just by looking at them, showing how much everyone fears her.
Villainous Acts
She kidnapped an inkling from Inkopolis, and tortured it to death infront of everyone in octo valley.
She murdered everyone who ever “wronged her in her past”. While yes, they did bully her, she ended up not satisfied, and began killing people who didn’t deserve it, one of them being Natalie’s father that she never met. It got so bad that DJ Octavio made her an elite in his army just to get her to stop.
She ended up so feared that the other lieutenants gave her more power, making her the new leader of the octarians.
She was an even worse leader then DJ Octavio, just like him, she brainwashed everyone, but unlike him, she was way more murderous and brutal.
She regularly abuses her allies, from insulting them, firing them to outright killing them.
She even tells Blakeson she doesn’t care if she indirectly kills her own.
She made a deal with Commander Tartar, offering him octolings to send into the metro tests to be blended. She knew that Tartar was trying to destroy Inkopolis, so she helped him with gathering octolings/octarians to be blended/sanitised. This also makes her responsible for Georgina Octarine’s death. She tried to draft Natalie into her army, and sometime after Natalie deserted, she tried to force Dylan to hunt her down and kill her.
She kidnapped Cap’n Cuttlefish, Callie, Marie and Bethany, and held them hostage for an unknown reason.
She enforced concentration camps for octolings who betrayed her, and any inklings she captured. She forced them to do hard work, and if they didn’t work hard enough, she would have them dissolved in water. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
She fired a missile at the heroes at the end of Inkopolis Chaos 2 while they were fighting the octobusters in an attempt to kill them.
She paid lots of money to break Scarlet out of jail, but once she was out, she murders the prison warden to get her money back.
She offered Scarlet a chance to kill Samuel, Natalie and the others for money, threatening her with death if she didn’t join her. However, she showed no intent of honouring her deal, as she said she’d throw Scarlet in a concentration camp afterwards, albeit, Scarlet would’ve deserved it.
She kidnaps Natalie, holds her hostage, and tried to force her watch Samuel be executed. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
When she finds out the two were dating, she bursts out laughing and shows a nasty attitude towards the concept of inklings and octolings being in love.
Upon concentration camps failing, she scraps them entirely, and instead resorts to mass executing thousands of octolings who desert octo valley via dissolving them in water. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
She unethically experimented on salmonids to have them obey her every command.
She trespasses into cuttlefish cabin and destroys it.
She takes advantage of Katelin’s PTSD and uses it to neutralise her.
She makes rather homophobic remarks about Jade and Katelin.
She intended to destroy all life on the surface with 15 massive multicoloured ink bombs, and then rebuild octo valley on the surface so she would have perfect control over everything, all because she despises inklings. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
She forces Natalie to watch the footage of her sister being blended. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
She throws Jade into a flooded ravine, causing Ruby to sacrifice herself. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)

Lt. Obsidian is a white skinned elite octoling, who seems to lack the seaweed in her hair. She wears black armour, leggings and boots. She also has gloves, and is very tall. She has rare white eyes, which caused her to be bullied and become the monster she is today.
Trivia
Lt. Obsidian is shown to be a dark reflection of Natalie. Like her, she left to Inkopolis to try and live a new life there, but ended up rejected by the inklings. However, Natalie never hurt inklings while she was on the run, refused to go back to octo valley, and eventually lived a good life with the inklings once her name was cleared, as she became accepted. However, Lt. Obsidian instead kidnapped an inkling, took it back to octo valley, tortured them to death, became xenophobic towards them and plotted to wipe them out, even wanting to kill octolings who side with them. She represents what Natalie could have become if she let the past consume her and filled her with hatred and malice.
Lt. Obsidian represents all seven of the deadly sins.
Pride - She is very prideful in herself, beiliving only her opinion matters, and often expresses herself as the "Octarian Queen".
Wrath - Although she is usually calm, she can get angry pretty easily, especially shown by her yelling at Natalie in her cell. She is also very destructive.
Greed - She is obsessed with her power and authority, and wants to remake the surface in her image so it's all about her.
Lust - While she shows no romantic or sexual attraction, she shows lust in another way. She has a lust for power, as clearly shown by her goals and how she got into power.
Envy - She is clearly envious of all the octolings who got accepted by the inklings, considering how she got rejected by them years ago.
Gluttony - She is very selfish, not caring about anyone except herself, and wanting all the power.
Sloth - She makes no effort to acknowledge that her actions are wrong, and if you make a deal with her, she will never hold up her end of the bargain.
