Lord Grendel is the main antagonist of the first season of Off The Grid: Nightmare, the sequel series to Off The Grid.

He is the tyrannical ruler of the Creature Domain, part of the Nightmare Realm, who seeks to harness the power of the Tainted Chalice in order to open a portal to the real world in order to escape the Nightmare Realm and presumably take over the world. He is the arch-nemesis of Pixel.

Biography

Whilst he is mentioned indirectly by several other characters in the show, Lord Grendel is first mentioned by Gnotts as someone who should never be fought under any circumstances. Meanwhile, Striker is brought along by Grendel’s personal right-hand man, Giggles into his throne room, where Grendel is officially first seen. He kills off a random Stikbot and eats his remains. During this, he asks if this is the Stikbot that possesses the Nightmare Essence, to which Giggles confirms the info. Grendel explains that he needs Striker’s essence for an unexplained reason, but Striker provokes him into fighting him one on one. Grendel command Giggles to release Striker from his chains, and even gives Striker his combat gauntlets in order to give him an equal chance of beating him.

But before the two can properly fight, Grendel uses his telepathic powers to stagger Striker. Then, Grendel punches him swiftly in the face, causing Striker to hit his back against one of the throne room’s walls. Grendel would then beat up Striker to a bloody pulp, breaking his gauntlets in the process. The fearsome tyrant picks up Striker and explains that he needs his Nightmare Essence in order to escape the Nightmare Realm and enter the real world. He also threatens to kill “the pink Stikbot” as revenge for killing his monsters.
