Loricatorum Periculum was a secondary antagonist in the Chicken Invaders, The Rotten Egg of the Past fan story. He was a huge chicken resembling a Roman soldier, a veteran warrior, the main leader of his own legions and an important commander of the chickens.

Biography[]

Loricatorum Periculum was a chicken that wore armor very similar to that of Roman soldiers. Among the chickens, he was one of the most experienced veterans, having participated in several invasions and attacks. He provided important assistance to his superiors, Brullos and Tubdibulsa. What made him really important was that he had his own army within the chickens' troops. Compared to other birds, his legions were extremely disciplined, trained and persistent, and were considered a real elite unit among the hordes of chickens. They took part in the invasion against Krakegorus, where the ships of the planet's inhabitants were absolutely no match for them, and later they were deployed in other Galaxies as well. When one of the chickens' super weapons was destroyed near Earth, the Yolk-Star, Tubdibulsa, Brullos, and Loricatorum Periculum decided to work together to destroy the planet once and for all and defeat the new threat, the Chicken Hunters. However, the plan was disrupted by the decision of the Henperor, who summoned Brullos and Tubdibulsa, but Loricatorum Periculum was impatient and decided to launch an attack on Earth with his legions. The chicken hunters have already heard about him, as a heroic pilot, Varsmeron, discovered interesting things about him. Members of the Roman chicken legions participated in the kidnapping of people and he was also present at the cruel experiments in which Brullos and Tubdibulsa tested the weapons of the chickens on the prisoners. However, the hunters were surprised by the news that the chickens did not attack Earth first, but the Space Burger next to the planet. Varsmeron immediately rushed over as he knew its owner and was a good friend, but it was too late. Loricatorum Periculum's chickens ransacked the place, then the giant chicken leader blew up the place and took the owner to Pluto to die there alone. The heroic pilot became extremely angry and attacked the famous legion along with the other pilots. The fight was very tough, these chickens were indeed much more disciplined and stronger, the losses of the pilots increased, but the legions also dwindled. When Loricatorum Periculum returned and saw that his legions were greatly reduced, he became enraged and joined the battle. The pilots were shocked when they saw that the ion cannons they usually used were almost useless against the huge bird's armor and didn't even damage its wings. The leader of the chicken legions single-handedly killed seven pilots while his remaining soldiers fought. The hero also faced the Roman chicken and his weapon, the utensil poker, was already effective against its armor and wings. The victory was almost there, but then he got an unexpected surprise, because his opponent was a cunning strategist. He did not deploy his entire army, but left reserve forces and garrisons on the other planets of the Solar System, which, upon learning from messengers that their leader was in trouble, immediately set out. There were many chickens and their leader still had the strength and pride to fight, so the situation was hopeless for Varsmeron. But then a friend of his, the famous Hen Solo, arrived to help him. The chickens' troops dwindled, and Loricatorum Periculum and the hero began their final battle. After a hard and rough fight, the heroic pilot finally blew the huge chicken to pieces with forty missiles, its armor was completely destroyed. The hero photographed the destruction of his opponent and sent the photos to the other leaders of the enemy to repay the humiliation Brullos gave his father when he killed him and then he saved the Space Burger’s owner.

Personality[]

Loricatorum Periculum's personality was partly a typical military demeanor. He was a strict, rigid, disciplined military leader who maintained order with an iron hand. Compared to most chicken armies, his legions were extremely disciplined and persistent, never running away, fighting to the last bird. At the same time, the commander, resembling a Roman soldier, enjoyed fighting and destruction very much, and when seeing explosions or deaths, he displayed a malicious, mocking, disgusted, despiteful and abominable attitude. In combat, he behaved like a typical sadistic killing machine whose only goal was destruction, but at the same time he always tried to maintain his disciplined and tactical demeanor.

Powers and abilities[]

Loricatorum Periculum was considered one of the most powerful military leaders in the Henpire. His special armor made him virtually invulnerable to the chicken hunters' ion cannons, and he was inherently very durable and loved long battles. He could shoot many explosive eggs from himself at the same time, which he could send in formations similar to military formations in the direction of the enemy. He was also a good strategist and an extremely good trainer. He led his armies well, was respected by his soldiers, and created one of the most organized forces in the Henpire had ever seen, they fighting on multiple fronts and nearly destroying Earth. These legions were a very serious threat and danger to chicken hunters and experienced pilots like Varsmeron.

Legacy[]

The loss of Loricatorum Periculum and his legions was one of the chickens' greatest defeats. The massive veteran and his experienced soldiers were an extremely valuable force within the chicken hordes, losing units that were battle-hardened, chosen birds. At the same time, the battle was lasting and instructive for the chicken hunters, as the Roman chickens inflicted huge losses. Apart from Vasmeron and three of his experienced pilots, almost all the well-trained pilots were killed, the number of casualties was at least forty-seven, and it seemed that if the chickens won here, they would really have won the war against Earth. Tubdibulsa was particularly distraught when he heard the news of the defeat, he believed that this army and its leader were an almost irreplaceable loss and that the armies of the later invasions were not even close to them.

Trivia[]
