~ Luzifer's backstory and insecurities. |
Luz Noceda, also known as Luzifer, is the titular main protagonist of the MoringMark's Owl House comic series of the same name.
She is an evil version of Luz Noceda from an alternate universe. After being teased and mistreated by her peers for her quirkiness, Luz would aspire to become a villain to fight back against her bullies, though her most evil antics are minor nuisances at best. However, as the main series progresses, Luz gradually becomes more and more malevolent, not being above acts of violence and even attempting to take the lives of others.
Appearance[]
Luzifer's body-type is identical to the original, being a thin teenager with tan skin and golden brown eyes. Luz's hair is quite different from her counterpart, however; it is now primarily purple with a pink streak. It is also a lot longer and messier than the heroic Luz. This Luz also seems to have an overbite.
In terms of attire, Luz appears to be wearing a black bodysuit with a forest-green tank top over it. She has a tattered denim jacket with buttons that resemble skulls. She wears a silver bracelet and a red belt, which has spikes on it. She's also has grey combat books.
While attending Hexside, Luz wears a traditional Hexside uniform under her jacket, only with the colors of every track on it's arms and legs. She also wears a headband with unconvincing witch ears on it, as to sell her identity as a witch.
Personality[]
As her title would suggest, Luzifer sees herself as evil and takes great pride in it. She tries to cause harm wherever she goes and shows no shame for it.
However, Luiferz's attempts to be a villain are shown to be egregious. All she manages to achieve are minor acts of mischief, which the people of the Boiling Isles find to be confusing rather than horrifying.
Being a self-proclaimed villain, Luz does not see the point in doing good and is dumbfounded at anyone who calls themselves a hero. A direct opposite of the main Luz, Luzifer has a great deal of pride for herself and doesn't seem to care about anyone else at all.
Despite presenting herself as evil, Luzifer does have a human side. She has a genuine friendship with Hunter, shows standards against Belos, and honored her deal with King. She's also very tragic deep down, having an implicitly troubled relationship with her father and only becoming a villain to deflect the pain brought on her by the world. When Amity on their "date" questions if her villain persona is just way to protect herself from those who would pick on her when no one else would, Luzifer, in a moment of vulnerability, admits that is the case. While becoming a juvenile delinquent did scare off those who would bully her, it also prevented her from making any friends nor does it actually make her happy. In the end, Luzifer isn't actually evil, but a troubled, lonely girl who likely would have given up the idea of becoming villain had Amity not encourage her to keep trying.

Trivia[]
- Luzifer is very much a foil to the original Luz. Both of them were ostracized by their peers for their strange personalities and obsession with Azura, and both indulged in escapism to cope with this fact. The difference is that Luz tried to make herself into a fantasy type hero, whereas Luzifer put on an evil persona.
- This is reflected in how Luzifer looks up to Villainous Lucy while Luz idolises Azura.
- In her first appearance, she wore white shoes similar to the original Luz. However, in all her other appearances, she wears grey boots. This suggests that she could have acquired new shoes at some point.
- Luzifer getting a bile sack surgically implanted in her chest is somewhat ironic, as Ayzee, another MoringMark original character, had her bile sack surgically removed by her universe's Luz.
