Lord Ma'alik of Dante Town, or simply Ma'alik, is the main antagonist of the fanmade web-series Hell's Greatest Girl, a spin-off of Hazbin World.
He is the ruler of Dante Town alongside his wife Stella, who eventually "betrayed" him and escaped from his abuse and wrath in order to do what's right and save Hell from tyrants like him. He is therefore Stella and Velvette's arch-nemesis. He is an Arabic demon who lives in a very rich community, and he is the ally of Stolas and the boss of Bartok and his Shark Gang.
History[]
Ma'alik is an Arabic ruler in Hell and he has no mercy upon his own people. He ruled the whole nation, including it's capital Dante Town for many years but he never had enough and he always wanted more and more power.
He at first appears discussing matters with his advisor Skeleto. He reveals to Skeleto he had plans to become the most powerful being in Hell itself, regardless of other demons around him being killed by his forces so he could accomplish this goal. He reveals behind Stella's back that he is using her to make the people submit to his commands. Stella doesn't like the idea but goes along, thinking she has no other choice if she wants to survive. However, things changed completely when Velvette came. The two became friends, and in order to do what's right, they've agreed to save Hell from tyranny and Velvette helped Stella escape from his wrath, not knowing that Ma'alik was going to kill them with his hellhounds anyway. Ma'alik sent Stolas to retrieve his daughter Stona, who ran to find her mother in the woods, only to be stopped by Chino, Bartok and their men from both gangs. Stona was brought to Stolas, who secretly handed her over to Ma'alik, as their deal continues and the two intend to get a common revenge plan achieved with Stella and Velvette as their victims. Stolas then prepared his lawyers for a trial with The Devil.
Personality[]
Ma'alik is a short tempered, power hungry demonic Arab who is heavily obsessed with gaining power and committing atrocities, while obtaining and looting riches from everyone and seeking to become more powerful than anyone else in Hell. He is very vengeful, quickly forming a masterplan against Stella for betraying him and Velvette for assisting her in the escape.
He is very abusive and angry towards Stella, treating her nearly always as a servant despite her ranks in Hell as a princess. He intends to minimize her and kill her so he can be more dominant once she's no use anymore. Ma'alik is heavily based on a terrorist according to the creator, heavily relying on bloodshed and power for a massive purpose.

- Ma'alik is according to the creator, based on Khaled Mashal; the terrorist mastermind from Hamas who uses tyranny and lies to turn his people against the Israelis, in his own words.
- The creator said he will remind of a Hamas terrorist even more in future episodes and arcs.
- Ma'alik is based on the keeper of Hell's gates from the Islamic Quran book, but they have no similar traits since the original story portrays him as a rather neutral character meant to punish sinners.
