Mad Dummy is a supporting antagonist in TS!Underswap, a fangame of Undertale. They are a ghost possessing a training dummy, and the cousin of Mettacrit and Ser Scratchalot. When a human named Chara falls into the underground, the former monster king Asgore teaches them how to talk opponents down in battle by practicing on the Mad Dummy. No matter what the player does though, the Mad Dummy becomes irrationally offended by their actions, swearing revenge on them. From then on, Mad Dummy will stalk and continually attack Chara as they travel through the Underground.
Appearance[]
Mad Dummy is an orange training dummy with no arms or legs, which stands on a wooden base. They have a large, round snout with jagged teeth, simplistic round eyes, and a pair of large eyebrows. Stitching runs across the left side of their face and the middle of their torso, and the latter splits open to reveal a second mouth.
Mad Strummy is a light blue acoustic guitar with a dark blue neck and strings, as well as thin, dark blue arms and legs.
Mad House is a large, light yellow wood doghouse with a white bone on top of the entrance, and the same simplistic eyes as before. The entrance to the doghouse is full of sharp teeth, and they have two boards of wood as eyebrows, as well as a pair of long, thin brown arms that end in large, clawed hands.
Biography[]
Ruined Home[]
Mad Dummy possesses a training dummy in Ruined Home, which Asgore has Chara practice ACTing on. After he leaves though, the dummy comes to life, snapping at the human for whatever they did during the tutorial. They then try throwing a knife at them, but it misses. Mad Dummy swears that from then on, the two of them are mortal rivals, and they will soon have their revenge as they leave.
Mad Dummy then goes into the City of Old and causes a riot to get Asgore away from Chara by having him go settle it. Once the human makes it to the bridge leading to the city, they confront them again, revealing their plan before accidentally causing the bridge to collapse, making Chara fall into the sewers below.
Soon Mad Dummy catches up with the human and begins chasing them throughout the sewers, destroying the pipage as they attack. Eventually Chara is able to close a gate, blocking the Mad Dummy off from them. The dummy promises that they'll track the human down to the ends of the earth before they leave.
Later, in Asgore's home, Mad Dummy's ghost possesses a guitar to try and spy on the human, going by the name Mad Strummy. If the player interacts with the guitar repeatedly though, they'll drop their cover and snap at Chara, telling them they were trying to stalk them.
Starlight Isles[]
When looking through Sans' binoculars, the player can see Mad Dummy meeting up with Count Koffin-K and the Boogiemen in the woods near Koffin Keep, making a deal to help them capture the human.
Soon after, on the way to Koffin Keep, the player passes by a seemingly normal doghouse, which soon begins to follow them. Mad Dummy - now Mad House - then reveals to be possessing the doghouse, and explains how with the help of Koffin-K and his henchmen, they found a new, stronger body to inhabit. If the player is on the Ruthless or Evacuation Route, Mad House will also berate them for their massacre and state that unlike the player, they have teamwork on their side. As they ramble, Papyrus' Dogboard appears and gestures to Chara to hop on its back. Soon they notice this and give chase as the Dogboard rockets away, throwing knives, food bowls, collars, dog beds and smaller doghouses that must be dodged. As the player approaches Koffin Keep, the Boogiemen join in on the chase as Mad House tries to ram into Dogboard.
As the player is about to escape through Koffin Keep's gates, Count Koffin-K grabs Chara. Mad House then celebrates their victory, getting angry when Koffin-K expresses disappointment in them not causing as much property damage as he'd expected. Mad House then tells the Count to had Chara over, but he refuses, saying he's altering the deal they had made. Mad House argues that they were going to help defeat Koffin-K's arch-nemesis Crossbones, but the Count says he never needed their help, telling them not to trust a bat-themed supervillain. He then has the Boogiemen get rid of them, and they swear revenge as they're dragged away.
Later, while exploring Koffin Keep, the player is able to enter the janitor's closet by finding a key, where they're greeted with Mad Dummy, who has since returned to their training dummy body. They're having a tea party with four mini-dummies, ranting to them about Koffin-K's betrayal ad revealing that they snuck into the Keep through the unlocked back door. They then notice Chara, staring in shocked silence for a few moments before snapping that the human saw nothing, leaving with their mini-dummies.

Trivia[]
- Their reveal in the tutorial fight, and the text purple text that accompanies it, is a reference to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
- Unlike in Undertale, they now have a dialogue portrait and soundbite, due to having a larger role.
- They enjoy scones, though it isn't their favorite food.
- Upon finding the secret of them possessing Asgore's guitar, their status in the journal will update to "Guitar??" After the encounter with them in Starlight Isles, their status once again changes to "House??"
- It's been confirmed that, just like in the original Undertale, this version of Mad Dummy will eventually become Mad Mew Mew.
