The Harbinger of Ruination.
A being of unknown horror, so evil even other Hell-Lords saw him as a plague needed to be snuffed out. The "Madman" is a deranged mastermind behind "The Brotherhood of Ruination", or "The Brotherhood of the Abyss" seeking the annihilation of all life in the Omniverse for nothing more than For The Evulz.
He is the main villain of the "Ultimate Immortals" saga of Multiversal Legends, as well as one of the main villains of the expanded "Armored Studios Omniverse". He often pops up to bring chaos wherever he goes, wanting to kill everyone "One piece at a time". He has worked with other villains before like Xuriah D'arcmast'r, Rogue, Nekrozoth, and even Mad Joe just to watch carnage brew. He is also the mad genius behind creating the dragonoid named Galaxis, and other monsters. His origins are unknown, often speculated to be a rogue Champion, or a powerful Hell-Lord like Nazaroth, but what is known is he's a Humanoid Abomination who acts like a seria killer. As such, he's regarded as one of the biggest the greatest threat the Champions have faced.
- 0% Approval Rating: No one likes Madman, due to his tendencies to be as much as a sociopathic dick as humanly possible. Hell-Lords like Lilith sees him as trash who should die, and the Doomsday Alliance (while more tolerant) finds him annoying at best. The Omniverse Protection Force sees him as a monster, and someone who needs to be locked away (or killed) before he does anything else. Even Galaxis, a pure-hearted dragonoid, has nothing but loathing towards his creator.
- Ax-Crazy: His name is a dead ringer, being essentially a cosmic level serial killer who enjoys killing and torturing who wants to slowly kill all life one victim at a time for fun.
- Arch-Enemy: While he's one everyone's shitlist, Akuma sees him as this as much as Malitch. Not only for being very, very personal with him (killing his loved ones and all), he is also one of his most recurring thorns who always up to something that has them involved.
- Also serves this to Galaxis, his creation whom he holds nothing but hatred for. Seeing him as nothing sort of a failed experiments he wants to snuff out, Galaxis holding nothing but contempt for his creator which says a lot for a pure hearted dragonoid.
- Abusive Parent: In a way, he's Galaxis's father but it doesn't stop him from emotionally gaslighting the child into hating all life and trying to have him being an Omnicidal Maniac as he is. When it fails, he tries to kill him, painfully, any chance he gets.
- Archnemesis Dad: Galaxis sees him as this, as Madman created him but tries to corrupt him into being a weapon of mass destruction. Though Madman doesn't take him seriously as a threat.
- Ambiguously Human: What the hell is he is anyone's guess. He looks human, but George Tellum suggests he's anything BUT that, stating "As if a creature is trying to, but fails to act like a man". His powers are eldritch, he tends to have cracks on his face as if a mortal shell is shattering, and his tendencies to cheat death much akin to an Immortal. Other Hell-Lords fear him, and it's been pointed out that they can't claim his soul because "They can't take anything that he never had in the first place". The fact he can shapeshift, even taking an outright horrifying form, suggest he's a humanoid abomination, some sort of monster from another reality.
- A God Am I: He believes he was born to snuff all life, as all living things were born to be his toys to break whenever he pleases. Even gods and demons aren't safe from him, thinking they're just victims to him. Even claiming he's a "Mad God", even boldly claiming "I am the Abyss that stares back at you!" as if he thinks he is the Abyss or its emissary.
- Became so immanent that he realized that if he ever do succeed in his plans, he would have nothing else to kill or torture. So, he decided if he's going to enjoy what he does best, he'll reset everything back to square one to repeat the process again, describing himself as a "Mad God of Death" that will reap the endless cycle of rebirth.
- Admiring the Abomination: There's two beings he has great respects for: Abyss and Nekrozoth. Both omnicidal maniacs, with Nekrozoth being as the sadistic master of evil and Abyss embodying "Omniversal Extinction". He claims to be a huge fan of, but he subtly implies he wants to find a way to surpass them one day.
- Big Bad Ensemble: He and Malitch are sharing this as the main villains of the Akuma storyline as a whole. At least until he finally ousted her and takes full mantel as the main antagonist.
- Berserk Button:
- One of the few things he hates is being loved, he hates it. He wants to be hated, feared as an accessory. Even when he manipulates others as if he cares for them, he bluntly admits when he reveals his true feelings, he hates every moment of showing affection.
- He goes nuts if he is ever forgiven for what he's done, the mere thought of someone thinking there's good in him drives him to a frenzy.
- The Chessmaster: Everyone plays a part of his chess game, whether they know it or not. His schemes often lead to widespread death, or the death to those close to them. Having brought worlds to ruins, species to extinction, and empires to oblivion.
- Card-Carrying Villain: He knows what he is, and how much of a bastard he can be. He even calls himself Madman as if gleefully accepting the name people give him.
- Contrasting Sequel Villain: He serves as the arc villain for the "Ultimate Immortals" saga, as such he starkly contrasts to the previous villains of the Doomsday Saga:
- Xuriah is a very tall almost muscular man built like what you expect from a Greek God and is a multiversal conqueror running a massive crime syndicate with a literal iron fist with a variety of weapons he mostly crafts. Madman is a scrawny looking man with red eyes like Xuriah, also runs a massive criminal organization but his runs almost like a cult, while the two perform terrorist attacks, their reasonings are almost different. Xuriah wants to rule all of creation, while Madman is an omnicidal maniac who wants to see creation ends. Madman while a supergenius on his own, mostly steals weapons and gadgets from others. Xuriah has a scar on his left eye, while Madman has cracks on his faces. Xuriah's origins are known while Madman is mysterious with no backstory besides a few hints. Xuriah prefers melee combat such as with his hands, or use sheer power to overwhelm his enemies, such as lightning bolts or his Democlaw. Madman is a long-range villain who uses two identical pistols and is a reality-warper to some extent. Both are also horrible parents to their kids, with Madman creating Galaxis solely to gaslight him in hopes of raising a "Beast of the Apocalypse".
- Both he and Morbus are immortal beings who take on new bodies to stay alive, and often comes back from death to wreak more havoc once again. They are also diabolical masterminds who league an organization with very unsubtle names, being creators of superbeings who have traits of dragons or reptiles. They also have a sociopathic disregard for human life, seeing what they do is a mere game to them. However, Madman is fully a card-carrying villain, while Morbus acknowledge his evil but see it as a form of roleplay as he doesn't believe normal morality applies to him. Madman and Morbus do what they do for the evulz, but Morbus sees it akin to a "video game" while Madman has no such notion on what he does.
- The Doomsday Alliance acting as a pack of evil armies forming a unified military, much akin to something like the Axis Powers. Madman's Brotherhood of the Abyss comprise of serial killers, mass murderers, and snuff filmers who are also omnicidal maniacs, forming some cabal of organized crime or a twisted cult that conducts gruesome mass murders and tortures.
- He and Mastermagus/Baron Darkstein act as archenemies to Akuma, but while Mastermagus can be darkly comedic at times, Madman is completely serious and gives a creepy aura to him. Both sees Akuma as something of a worthy opponent, but while Magus still mostly hates him, Madman sees him akin to a favorite toy. They're both dark entities who take the form of humans who wear fine dresses, having amass an army of followers, and making allegiances to other villains, but Madman hires himself as a PsychoForHire of sorts with a serial killer aesthetic, while Magus is a pragmatic overlord who is more of a partner in crime with his allies.
- Diabolical Mastermind: A criminal mastermind and a terrorist who runs a crime network that is essentially a nihilistic cult that aids him in his efforts to bring the world to extinction.
- Even Evil Has Standards:
- Subverted, a torturing sadist he maybe, he doesn't like condemning people to a Fate Worse Than Death only because it contradicts his goals of being a taker of life. However, souls being condemned to this fate is fine with him. He does subvert this somewhat as he tends to give a similar grisly fate to others, even trying to breed literal Hell on Earth on one point.
- Masochists also disturbs him and is disgusted when one character suggest he is one himself. He makes it very, very clear he isn't into such thing nor does the idea cross his mind ever. As he puts it "I'm a psychopathic world-killer, not a freak". There's also the fact he can't... Take pleasure in their suffering if they essentially enjoy it.
- He isn't too fond of Alexander Alexandrovitch and his spoiled attitude, he considers him "Another spoiled brat who wasn't disciplined enough!".
- Omnicidal Maniac: He seeks to drive all life to extinction, even if he has to do it by his own hands "One piece at a time".
- Psycho For Hire: When he's not doing his own thing as a Diabolical Mastermind, he hires himself out to aid other villains in their schemes as long mass destruction and death ensues. If he's allowed to spread pain, he's in, whether as: A Torture Technician, Mad Scientist, or a Killer-For-Hire. Any of these roles can do.
- The Sociopath: A murdering cosmic being with zero remorse for anything he has done, is a sadistic, ice-cold manipulator who corrupts those around him and treats them as victims for him to torment physically and mentally. He does everything for evils sake, takes pride in his evil, and is an egotist who thinks he's unkillable and thinks life is destined to be killed by his hands. He believes all lifeforms, gods or otherwise, were born for him to murder as if growing a god complex.
- Serial Killer: A cosmic scale one at that.
