History[]
X-Men: Origin of Chaos[]
He at first witnesses along with Xavier the destruction which the Nazi military have caused just outside the town. He reveals that once he escaped from a ghetto and that he knows about the Nazi military conspiracy which shall eventually wipe out the mutant race as well as the Jewish populace of Europe. Erich Ludendorff then comes to search for Magneto and threatens to kill Xavier if he doesn't give him Erik Lensherr's location. Erik is then seen fighting with Shaw just before he escapes from him and Ludendorff. Shaw and Ludendorff however do manage to overcome Jean Grey and Charles Xavier, as they take both of the heroes to the ghetto in Auschwitz. Magneto later plans with Zack Nicelson to help Jean Grey escape the ghetto and return to the hands of The British Intelligence. Magneto helps them kill Apocalypse and escape the ghetto. However, Jean grey decides to stay with Charles instead of going back to serve The British Intelligence.
God Loves, Man Kills[]
Magneto eventually descends into vengeance, evil and ruthlessness, out of the anger which he held against The Nazis, The German nation and The Red Skull. To make matters worse, Minister John Stryker plotted to sponsor thousands of terrorists as soldiers in disguise and end the mutant kind by constructing Sentinels. He offered Magneto survival as long as he assists the scheme and betrays mutantkind. However, Magneto had to stand up for the mutants and he declined Stryker's offer, thus becoming his foe. Magneto then ordered his girlfriend/enforcer Lady Deathstrike to brutally kill John Stryker so they can take his magnetic helmet which was possibly also meant to be used as against the mutants. Lady Deathstrike successfully kills Minister Stryker, however, dozens of years later, John's son William Stryker accomplishes his plans and hires Bolivar Trask as well as his lietuant Jay Banner so they could work on The Sentinels and program them with artificial intelligence. Bolivar is ordered to build them a leader called MM (Master Mold) which will function as their commander underneath Stryker himself. However, The Toad and his lietuant Agent Smith steal the ready made Sentinels and reprogram them as the two of them then creates millions of new copies. The Toad becomes their top leader and benefactor, and he sends millions of Sentinels to attack different locations all around the world. Magneto eventually reveals Xavier that he was the one to have killed John Stryker, with intent to wage the war between mutants and humans, so he could get his revenge on whoever wronged him, or more specifically the human race. Xavier disagreed, and Magneto at first tried to throw a knife and stick it into Xavier's head. However, he regretted this and for the good of his own species, he decided to aid Xavier and let humans live their lives.
Dawn of The Mutants[]
Erik Lensherr then protects his race from Stryker during the massive war between humans and mutants. He at first invades Stryker's base and once again he hacks into the Sentinel's AI. However, after Stryker discovers the truth, he goes to kill off the mutants inside their base, and brings lots of terrorists disguised as soldiers to back him up. Magneto eventually gets defeated and (presumably) killed off by William Stryker's soldiers.
The Wakandian League[]
Magneto is shown to remain alive when it was presumed that Stryker killed him. He lead The Hellfire Club which was composed of many mutant villains, and their goal was to destroy the basketball games via terror attacks as a start of a plan to make the mutantkind take over the universe and control all dimensions and beyond that.
Magneto met with The Klaw while being guarded by his right-hand mutant villainess, Lady Deathstrike. Deathstrike seemed to hate Klaw, but Magneto still considered using him as one of his pawns for world dominance. He ordered Klaw to hand over one Wakandian soul.
Klaw failed on his mission, and Magneto then proceeded to involve The Vulture and attack the stadium together with him. The Wakandian League with S.H.I.E.L.D's help vowed to destroy Magneto and eliminate his wicked mutant empire.
Magneto then sent spoke to Lady Deathstrike inside his throne room. She defected from The Hellfire Club and they've become enemies since she disagrees with his methods of training young innocent mutant children as pawns for his plans. Magneto declares that Deathstrike is exiled, and she secretly starts aiding The Wakandian League and S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Vulture also kidnaps his son Sanford Kirigi from his mother Leah Monroe and brainwashes him to serve Mangneto as a wrathful warlord and assassin. Meanwhile, under Magneto's orders, Doctor Nemesis spies after his fake ally Roland Treece and smuggles from him V serum for Magneto to brainwash his enforcers. Magneto receives it from Nemesis and prepares his followers for a historical battle against humanity.
Once the Hellfire Club's forces start attacking and Sanford, now known as Pyro burns a large amount of the city to the ground, the Wakandian League come to stop Magneto and his followers. Magneto kills Erik, who is revealed to actually be the long gone brother of Commander Marcus Lyman. However, despite his bloodlines he still fought for peace and not for killing mutants like his brother and Stryker.
Magneto immediately rejected the peace offer, and he killed Erik with no remorse or empathy. Magneto then fought against M'Baku, who killed him during their very rough battle. Once Magneto's reign of terror was gone, with the tyrant being dead, Namor became the final enemy of the league.
He was later revived during the events of the Marvel World saga by Wolfgang Von Strucker.
Personality[]
Magneto is overall a neutral/anti-villainous character, who intends to protect the mutantkind at all costs, even if it means that he has to kill one of them such as Charles Xavier. He threatened to kill Xavier but regretted it since he realized that Xavier was right about not waging the war and causing many more humans to die. Magneto is on the other hand vicious, vengeful and ruthless. After what the Nazis and Minister John Stryker have done to him, he let his anger out by killing John and making more enemies. Otherwise, he is an overprotective anti-hero who basically has good intentions, despite his ego which makes him want to kill more humans.
However, all his good traits have subverted when he became more and more obsessed with world dominance and mutant leadership within every existing dimension. He fueled many villains and built lots of relationships with his charisma, becoming a universal threat.
