| ~ Mammon tells about his grand scheme to his guards in Valentino's castle. |
Mammon is the main antagonist in the first season of adult comedy series Hazbin World.
He is the trainer and master of The Hellhounds, a high-ranked worker in The Circus of Hell and also Fizzarolli's abusive boss. He has a magic book which he possesses and Velvette reads from it when she is in the mood for adventures.
He is the actual conspirator behind the entire Battle of Treachery between Heaven, Hell and Earth, intending to wipe out the last mortal and immortal until becomes an ultimate savior to all, and not just a god but above the rank of a deity.
History[]
Mammon is a cruel jester of Hell and is one of Blitzo's workers, as well as Fizzarolli's boss and mentor. He trains Hellhounds into being his personal bodyguards and minions, although it is implied that he killed many of them. Mammon also trained Loona for a while, but he let her go when Charlie protected her, promising to have his revenge. Valentino was told by Mammon about Loona's escape, and he reported onwards to Vox. Vox furiously called Velvette in and threatens that if she fails in killing the protagonists and retrieving Loona's sister Molly, she shall be sold as a slave to Mammon.
Mammon then speaks to his superior Blitzo, who orders him to bring Loona alive. However, he didn't mind killing Loona and backstabbing Blitzo when discovered.
Mammon went with two hellhounds on the street, but he encountered the Anti-Christ, disguised as The Lord, and they wanted to kill each other. Mammon tries to kill The Lord, but he looses as The Lord kills off his two hellhounds, leaving Mammon defenseless.
Mammon reappears much later during the series, while it is revealed he possesses Velvette's adventure book, which brings stories to reality. He also contacts The Grim Reaper, telling him about Velvette's plans against him. Velvette and her friends Red, Charlie and Verosika Mayday enter the storyline and have to face the reaper one more time. After the Reaper teleports Velvette's three friends to his torture chamber, Mammon comes and reveals himself to be the book's possessor and the one who warned The Reaper. Mammon then reveals to Velvette that he knows Satan is faked by The Anti-Christ. He offers her to join him and rule Hell underneath him, but Velvette refuses and the two start to fight. Mammon almost kills Velvette, but Alastor knocks him out for a short while, while Alastor and Velvette both escape from the jester.
Mammon then sends Fizzarolli with a few hellhounds to take care of the situation. Fizzarolli however kills The Grim Reaper, while leaving the protagonists alive cause he was told that only The Crusaders should be killing off the demons.
Mammon scolds at Fizarolli for his failure, but out of manipulative nature, he instead decides to give Fizzarolli a last chance, and he instead kills off the 4 hellhounds.
Fizzarolli attempted to persuade Lucifer Magne to give Heaven all of Hell's money, but then Mammon came and revealed that King Satan II was faked by The Anti-Christ. Lucifer joined up in a competitive game with Mammon, Fizzarolli, Valentino and seemingly his rival Alastor, and whoever would kill the most rebels of Hell would become the next ruler of the realm. However, Alastor was protective towards his friends and he knew that he needs to be ontop of his rival Valentino, so he shot at Valentino and Mammon fireballs and ran off. Mammon changes the rules of Lucifer's game and declares that the one who kills Alastor and his allies will be the ruler of Hell. Mammon later invades the hotel and finds Loona with the two human cultists Bee and Vanessa Roberts, who redeemed herself when she saw demons are nice. Mammon then sadistically grabs Bee attempting to either kill her or take her as a hostage. However, Vanessa stabs him with a sword. Mammon then came to kill the trio along with Valentino and Lucifer. Charlie intervened and talked Lucifer into redemption. However, seconds later when Lucifer declared he is a rebel, Vox takes that opportunity to rise to power, and among the others, Mammon agrees to his leadership. Then, Loona uses all of her powers to spread a beam of light towards Mammon, Vox and Valentino. Mammon is currently working under Vox's leadership as against the remaining rebels.
Mammon later starts his quest for global power, intending to wipe out Heaven, Hell and Earth so he could rebuild the universe itself and become it's ultimate "air for breathing", being ontop of each and every deity and religion which humans believe in and worship. Mammon however is immediately interrupted by the Anti-Christ and the Crusaders who work for him and attack Heaven alongside him. Mammon is firstly seen enjoying hell's high command, yet he talked to his guards and told them about his plans to reshape the existence completely, and be seen as "more than god". Mammon then meets his son Adam who gives him information about Heaven. When the Crusaders and the Anti-Christ all arrive to attack Hell, the cunning demonic jester Mammon helps the demons fight the cruel, perhaps misled angels and killing them all for protection. However, after the mighty battle and the death of the Anti-Christ as well as the revelation of Angelico/Hades working for Mammon temporarily as part of a deal, Mammon betrays the heroes once again. He firstly tries to convince Molly to make a deal with him so he can gain her special powers. Because she refuses and also declines his offer that as part of the deal she must kill Lucifer Magne, Mammon does it himself. He attacks Molly, and manages to kill Lucifer in hell. However, he also succeeds to obtain Red as a hostage and slave, attempting to take her with him for eternity according to his own deal she accepted so he won't hurt the other Hazbin rebels. He vows to make her life miserable and rape her repeatedly if she agrees to the deal, which she did, cause he threatened to hurt her friends if she declines.
Personality[]
Mammon is one of the most sadistic and cruel demons of Hell. He kills off his own hellhounds for petty reasons, and he does not hesitate before he wreaks havoc and bloodshed. Mammon is bossy and cunning, treating Fizzarolli with no respect and even making him feel guilty for serving Heaven's forces, despite knowing that he worked for The Anti-Christ from the beginning.
Mammon is ambitious and he wants to be the next ruler of Hell. He offers Velvette to be his right-hand woman, but when she disagrees, he immediately become hostile and chaotic towards her. Mammon is a completely mad monster with the lack of empathy in his nature.
Trivia[]
- This version of Mammon is much darker and crueler than the original.
- Mammon is one of the two main antagonists of the episode Velvette's Adventure Books, becoming a larger threat than The Grim Reaper.
- The creator is intending to turn Mammon into the show's most ruthless villain, going beyond Vox' quest for power, The Anti-Christ's aggression and Angelico's pure sadism and chaotic nature. Mammon will end up overtaking them all with his plans for doomsday.
