Marina Arusu is a supporting antagonist turned supporting protagonist in Date A Re:Live. She is an Irregular spirit and the evil-twin of Maria Arusu. She is an Artificial Intelligence created by Isaac Ray Peram Westcott and Ellen Mira Mathers who were represented as her parents.
She was voiced by Suzuko Mimori in japanese, and by Sarah Roach in the English.
Appearance[]
Marina Arusu also has some features of her predecessor, the only thing that changes are her clothes color and the color of her hair, skin and eyes. She seems like to be a teenage girl with 15-years old. She is not a very tall or small girl, her eyes are very bright yellow, their hair are so black that glow as if they were violet, as well as the Dark Tohka the tip of his hair are white, she has a very white skin to the point of almost look pale.
She wears a similar dress of an astral nun; it is black with some dark yellow stripes forming a shape of a cross in front of her dress, the dress has some torn part down, her dress are dropping some sparks as if they were something of hologram, she also wears a white bandana with some black stripes on her head, she is a bit similar to Kurumi, she wears stockings that cover most of her legs with a pair of black high-heeled shoes.
Personality[]
She has shown to be a little bit harsh and mean, as she always removes NPCs that are in her way without much thought. But as the time went, she began to show a sign that "she’s beginning to change" by helping an elderly NPC in the street. In the true ending, Shido gives her a meat bun in a park at night, and at the other time, pats her head as a reward.

Marina was an artificial intelligence modelled after a Spirit that DEM captured, studied, and killed.
Chapter 2[]
Onboard the Arbitel, when [Sovereign] and [Devil] appeared, Westcott summons Marina who was the AI of the Arbitel. She clarifies that only [Devil] was lost and [Sovereign] was still out there.
After Ellen was looking forward to fight Tohka after not having fought for so long, she asked Marina to send the captain of the Arbitel instructions to fly for Tenguu City, something Marina was excited to see.
Westcott then asked Marina about how the Jabberwocky construction was going, she explains that it was not complete and the Bandersnatch units are a better fit for Tohka's capture as she was powerful and had great strength and the Jabberwocky units were sluggish.
Westcott then asked Marina if Artemisia and Jessica can come, however Marina denied they can as they were still coming back from their failed attempts to catch [Nightmare] and [Sister], leaving Ellen as just an option to catch Tohka. Marina soon announced that they will arrive in three hours after nightfall and asked Paddington to check on the systems of the Arbitel.
Chapter 3[]
After Tohka activated her astral dress, the Arbitel receives signs of her presence and explains to Westcott that [Devil] has not returned and only [Sovereign] was present. "Mio" then made demands for Westcott to show himself. Tohka then saw him project himself in her location and she already was negative vibes towards him.
Westcott soon asked Marina what he did to Miku's precursor before she escaped. Marina reminded him that she was subjected to being physically harmed to her skeleton, then shocked horribly, followed by oxygen deprivation before they have considered rescinding her fingernails and toenails. Marina also stated that Westcott considered depriving Miku's precursor of her "dignity as a woman" and tried to find someone who was either a friend or lover of hers only to find she had none.
As soon as that captive spirit tried to escape, she was killed by DEM but [Phantom] prevented them from stealing her Sephira Crystal. Such repulsive actions only served to disturb Tohka greatly at how horrific these folks were.
Just then, Ellen recalled how Tohka inversed due to her encounter with [Devil], an experience that traumatized Tohka as she expected to become friends with her only to get attacked and nearly die which was lead to Tohka inversing.
Marina gets a giddy reaction from this reminder which lead to Tohka deciding to try and eradicate the DEM faction here and now. As Tohka was fighting off the DEM forces, Marina proceeds to have the empowered Bandersnatch units sent out to try and catch Tohka.
As Tohka keeps cutting down units to stop this operation, Marina made an order to disempower the Bandersnatch units and empower the defenses against Tohka's attacks. After Tohka suffers recoil and Nahemah got cracked, Shido arrives just as Ellen was going to kill her and proceeds to fend her off with a copy of Sandalphon and incapacitated her after wrecking all her combat equipment.
This forced Westcott to save Ellen and order for a retreat, telling Shido he made an enemy thanks to his interference.
