Mario's Father is a minor antagonist in the 2011 Australian adult-animated web series SMG4, serving as the main antagonist of The (TOTALLY ACCURATE) Documentary of Mario.
He is the non-canon biological father of Mario, one of the two main protagonists of the series. He disowned him only moments after his birth due to his ugliness and abandoned him at an orphanage being far from a saint in terms of a parent and even causing most of the malicious stupidity he is infamous for today.
Appearance[]
Mario's Father is only seen in grainy sepia-tone stock footage, so it's hard to tell how he truly looks. He looks just like his son, but has a white cap and undershirt, and dark overalls.
History[]
In The (TOTALLY ACCURATE) Documentary of Mario, old footage shows the Unnamed Father witnessing the birth of his newborn son Mario. Horrified by the appearance of the obese baby, the father attempts to kill "it" with his combat knife before he "Lays Eggs", while the doctor holds him off (This moment was photographed for Mario's celebration card).
After leaving the hospital, he and his wife throw Mario on the side of the road, driving away as fast they can. Driving too fast, the car crashes into a building, exploding on impact.
Due to his brief appearance, very little is known about Mario's father, aside from being a neglectful parent. Possibly due to his treatment of his son, Mario grew up as an idiotic and immensely selfish person without any parental love.
Trivia[]
- Despite only appearing in a flashback in one episode and already being dead before the start of the series, Mario's Father can be considered as one of the two overarching antagonists of the entire series (alongside Niles), since he was one of the reasons why Mario is the way he is.
