Maso 'Vulsamee is a major antagonist of the Original Timeline in Elites of War, serving as one of the main antagonists (alongside Reed) of Season 1.
He is a member on the Council who rule the Alliance and a lesser to the other higher councilors. He is also have most concerns which his past would eventually come back to haunt him despite being fanatical.
He was voiced by Ghost Omel who also voiced Gharst 'Omelum in the season.
Appearance[]
Despite being a councilor, his armor is a mix of other Sangheili combat harnesses from the rabks. He wears a custom made as he wears an Acetic helmet, a Flight chestplate, a left commando shoulder pad and a right combat shoulder pad. His armor is entirely blue with exceptions of a yellow mark, grey shoulder pads and white shades on his helmet. He is also equipped with weapons like a Plasma Pistol.
Personality[]
He is no different from the other councilors as he shares their traits. Just like the rest of the Council, he is fanatical, envious, treacherous and tyrannical which these traits are shared of him with his pride. He is also paranoid when it comes to the Legion and UNSC when he shows his concern about the situation on Sanghelios. Even in his treachery, he does have honor and very protective even when he failed to stop the Legion from glassing Sanghelios.
Biography[]
Past[]
Maso was a member of the Covenant who participated in the Human-Covenant War until the Great Schism and joins the Covenant Separatists to defeat the San'Shyuum and the Jiralhanae for their actions. After the Human-CovenanT War, Maso is one of the warlords who formed the Council and the Alliance after the Covenant's downfall. Their power would grow to rule Sangheili colonies where they would then become even more tyrannical and fanatical as compared to the Covenant.
While the council is proven to be no different from the Covenant for their envious, fanatical and tyrannical behavior especially with their feud with him and Alxe. he too is no different from them. After they betrayed Jan and witnessed the rise of Legion, he becomes concern about the growing threat that will come to defeat him which is a trait shared with the councilors even after the glassing of Ute'k Mardee and Ra'ak's defection after making a choice to help the Legion by learning his lesson for betraying Gharst. Because of this, he and the others take steps to try to prevent the threat from becoming strong enough to defeat them.
Elites of War[]
As they are preparing their next move, he and the other councilors accused Damk of heresy and had imprisoned in a detention facility which is the first target for Reed's UNSC invaders to attack on the north of Sanghelios. Knowing he is in a dangerous situation knowing his fears may have come to fruition, he accepts this willing to start the war against the UNSC forces and meets up with the Council to discuss the situation and the plans to how to stop it. When Alxe arrives late from the invitation, the temple gets invaded by the UNSC and the guards were killed off. Before escaping, he wishes Alxe to stop the UNSC in the temple.
Observing the ongoing war as it gets worse in only the north. He soon questions what the UNSC came here for and why. He then becomes aware of a Legion Frigate, Cardium Hordros, transporting tne Legion off the planet, thus realizing what thE UNSC came for and take offensive action to try to stop them from destroying Sanghelios. He would eventually fail at protecting Sanghelios when it gets glassed and agreed with the other councilors to make peace with the UNSC to team up against the Legion.
After the series' reboot in Season 3, it remains unknown what he may do next.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the other councilors, he is shown at the season finale where he makes several steps to observe and attempt to take measures to defend his planet even if he failed.
