Max the Monkey appears in greggreg's take of TWIDDLEFINGER, named An Ode To My Friend (or An Ode To A Friend in the Youtube upload).,However, instead of a powerful demon, instead here, he's just a psychopath obsessed with getting Nugget back in any way, shape or form, even if he has to eat him.
Appearance[]
We don't get to see a lot of Max's body in the song, only his head, but he appears to be a more malnourished humanoid, with two circular ears, a silhouetted face with his mouth agape, and his right eye wide open. He also has human teeth. At the end of the song, his gaze moves to the right, before he disappears completely.
At the very end, the pupil from his right eye shows back up when Max is saying that he misses Nugget.
Biography[]
His exact story is a mystery, since he only appears in An Ode To My/A Friend, but in the past, Nugget gifts Max his own "personal escape button". If the Icarus metaphor is right, then Max seems to have gone too far in the relationship, or did something he wasn't supposed to, causing him and Nugget to break up. This would effectively cause Max to spiral, and start writing Nugget constant love letters.
