Megatron is the titular main protagonist of the DEATH BATTLE episode, "Frieza VS Megatron".

He is the leader of the Decepticons and protector of Cybertron.

He is Frieza's arch nemesis.

Personality

Despite his villainous reputation, Megatron is one who cares deeply about his home planet and people above all else. His way to express himself in battle tends to be of either insulting and belittling his enemies, or maniacally laughing.

Additionally, even in desperate situations, like when it seemed like his own was doomed from the beginning; while he does have a brief breakdown at Frieza destroying his home, and being overpowered or overwhelmed, Megatron is able to keep a calm and level head, in sharp contrast to Frieza, who's ego is so large that the minute he is insulted, he lost all of his levelheadedness as and become a complete mess blinded by his anger, as shown in his famous speech Megatron gave to Frieza towards the end of the fight; this also shows how intelligent Megatron can actually be, as even if he knew there was no change he would survive, not only would Frieza be too blinded by his anger to react to Megatron's anti-matter attack when Megatron had the perfect opening, but even to the end, he knew full well that Frieza would wonder in the vacuum of space with a majority of his body completely destroyed, even if he failed to protect his home planet in the end.
