Melhazarpheles, or more commonly known as Melhazar, is one of the main antagonists (Alongside The Devil) of Hazbin Hotel: Hellbound, serving as the serving as the overarching antagonist through the first season as well as the primary antagonist of Seasons 2 (Alongside Nergal) And 3 as well a Cameo character in Season 4 and a Cameo character in Helluva Boss: Rise of Imp. He is the ruler of the maelstorm realm as well an overlord of hell.

Appearance[]
Melhazar is 2 meters tall with grey-blackish skin and light green glowing eyes and mouth he also has a long tounge which is red, he usually wears a greyish outfit with a spider Symbol on it, as well a top-hat with a skull on it. His outfit has a red-green pattern on the inside of it, and his top-hat also as quill with the same pattern on it.
Despite his appearance, he is not a spider demon but actually an eel demon, more specifically resembling an electric eel and has been compared to one due to his electricity powers. His skin is similar to that of a serpent, although his accent is not snake like.
In his semi-eldritch form, he appears as a large-humanoid leviathan like being, much like in his regular form, he has a greyish skin, his arms are much longer than in his regular form, and he has several cyan green claws on them, unlike in his usual form, in this form he has a large tail resembling the tail of an eel, which are coloured cyan with grey and white stripes, his head appears similar to that of a "drama mask" however it looks much more organic, one of the sides has a more neon-like green while the other side has a much more cyan like colour, the top of his head has a skull like pattern on it, with several neon green circles on it, somewhat resembling a face, in this form he usually wears a white suit with patterns of green on it, he also wears a snake themed bowtie and tie, both of which are cyan green, his pants are a combination of cyan and neon green
In his "demon knight form" He is he same height and he wears a more blue-ish cape as well as a grey outfit. He also wears a golden helmet with horns and his face is mostly not visible except for his green eyes. His voice is described as more "demonic" and "deep" when he is in his demon knight form.
In the post credits of the season 4 finale, he is seen as a giant green skull shaped being, being made out of pure electricity, it is unknown whenever that is his current form is just a projection
During his speech in helluva boss, rise of imp he appears very similar to his normal look, however this time he is made out of a lightning-energy like materiel, but retains his appearance and clothing, as well as retaining the same colors.
Personality[]
Melhazar's personality can be described as similar to that of a con-artist, usually a mix of dramatic and comedic. At first glance, Melhazar is generally calm, cool, and collected. When engaging in conversation, his tone is playfully dull, yet brimming with sarcasm . Though his machinations are cruel, Melhazar's informal approach to villainy makes him a widely mischievous, manipulative trickster with an irreverent style of humor (though his jokes are usually played for his own, twisted amusement, and at the expense of others. Melhazar is also a very jealous being, often being envious of others positions and belongings, at times even manipulating others to give up their items rather than their souls, this being one of the reasons he desires to be seen as a "god" by both humans, angels, and demons as well and others. He is also willing to betray his allies and friends to no avail if it means he can get what he wants. He does generally accept it is immoral but simply ignores it. He also has a bit of a flirtatious side, constantly making unwanted passes and flattering remarks to and about many characters, both males and females, although usually doing it to females
Despite his egotism and ignorance, he is a great planner, which also makes him Treacherous, as he is willing to betray all but those he considers truly "close to him", even going as far to betray his own clone, by definition betraying himself.
Melhazar has a disregard of life, often seeing lower class demons and many others as either servants or just stepping stones even stating to stolas that he should not be with blitzo, and that imps are too stupid to have an any ranking, be it social or military or any other. he is also completely unconcerned when his Commanders or Allies fall in battle, even calling stating that they will be replaced with no ease, and was willing to harm his angel allies during his war with purgatory
Even though he wants to be considered a "god" he has no problem if thats in a negative way, even stating that he would rather be feared than loved if that means he will be respected. He is can also become wrathful when he is provoked to a large extent, however he generally stays in a calm/neutral state when he is confronted. He is also Fearless, there being very few beings he actually showed a state similar to fear, however he does respect his allies (as well as enemies) if they can put up a fight
Although he has many malicious tendencies and can sometimes be seen as cold, he does have a genuine sense of humor and enjoys telling jokes and making puns, although be it often at inappropriate of times, however he also knowns when to get serious, and will not be playful or humorous He also considers many demons (And formerly angels ) to be his true "friends" and he does respect them, however he is willing to get in their way if that means he is gets his needs, as shown with him betraying alastor, he did generally regret his decision to betray him, however later he was able to put that aside due to it helping his plans
While some might stray away from admitting their own vileness, melhazar actually embraces the fact that he is evil, even treating it as an achievement, and whilst he does have standards and lines that he is not willing to cross, he also has a somewhat pessimistic world view, as he believes that evil will always prevail over good, and is the superior moral philosophy
Despite melhazar's disregard of life and willingness to kill with minimal remorse, melhazar still has a standard against the torture of others, as he believes it to be needlessly cruel, and also believes it to be pointless and that it leaves chances for his enemies to escape, and whilst melhazar does take pride in his evil acts and vileness, he still has some limits that he is not willing to cross, torture being one of them. Melhazar also calls out his enemies very often due to their excessive use of torture, however despite this he was willing to ally with torturers. Although, he did not endorse their actions and even told them to "tone it down" and even stating it himself how he would rather finish off his enemies quickly, which proves even someone as crooked as melhazar have some standards

- Alastor: Alastor, the overlors of radios in hell is one of melhazar's main competitors in hell, and although his relations with melhazar were mostly on-off in the past, after season 2 the became mostly consistent enemies, as both of them see the other as a competitor in the pride ring and by extension hell itself, many times the two even got into several conflicts and so called "wars" alastor also got into a conflict with several of melhazar's proxy overlords such as pazuzu, however during the finale of season 3 they two briefly teamed up against malhezer, during melhazar's absence in season 4 alastor got into a conflict with pazuzu, who during this time was unable to rely on protection from melhazar and thus lost a large chunk of territory
- Archangel Gabriel: Formerly the ruler of heaven during the 500s, archangel gabriel is one of heavens 7 archangels and represents the virtue of patience, he is also one of melhazar's main enemies, this rivalry between the two began during melhazar's intervention in the purgatory war, as he was melhazar's main obstacle and has fought him numerous times, despite melhazar being enemies with him, he does respect the fact that gabriel was able to fight and even defeat him during some of their battles
- Archangel Genuel † : One of heaven's greatest generals, archangel genuel was a major enemy of melhazar during his invasion of purgatory, and was often the most common archangel he faced as an enemy, however their rivalry would not last long, as during one of their battles melhazar would charge up on his electricity and electrocute him, thus leading to genuel temporarily getting stuck in a shock-like state, eventually melhazar would use the trident of azathoth to cut the archangel in half, thus killing him however genuel would be later remembered for his sacrifice in heaven, and his legacy still effects many things in heaven
- Un-named Angels and Saints
- Archangel Raphael: Formerly heavens grand admiral, archangel raphael was and is a major enemy of melhazar, during his invasion of purgatory, the two would often have long battles, although unlike with most archangels, most of melhazars battles with him resulted in melhazars victories, however despite this he still managed to make several victories against melhazar armies, and even after the war the two remained rivals
- C.H.E.R.U.B: One of melhazar's main foes, even in the present day is the C.H.E.R.U.B Organization, as they were a major enemy of him during his invasion of purgatory, and although rarely did they manage to make wins against his forces, they managed to sabotage several of his attacks and provided for distraction during major battles, in the present day, they prevented or sabotaged some of his plans and while they are not as hostile to each other as they used to be, there is no denying that the two are enemies
- Un-Named overlords
- The King in Green: One of melhazar's oldest enemies, the king in green is also his most powerful enemy by far. Although during the earliest of days, the relation between the two was mostly on-off, even somewhat of a friend, however later on the green king would wage a cosmic war against yog-sothoth and god, although at first melhazar would stay neutral, eventually after some time, he would join the war on yog's side, and thus declared war on the green king. After many battles, he managed to seize several important areas that belonged to the green king, not long after his construction of the eel tower, the green king would visit melhazar in a dream and tried to trick him, however melhazar knew better and rejected his offer. Later on, melhazar would destroy all pages from the necronomicon that had anything to do with the green king. The green king is also the only enemy of melhazar who managed to genuinely creep him out
- Malhezer †: Formerly created by melhazar himself to carry our more difficult tasks, his duplicate malhezer would eventually become an enemy of him during the second half of season 2, and melhazar believed that his duplicate had outlived his usefulness, however melhazar was unable to get rid of his duplicate for a large amount of time, during season 3 this would cause him several disputes and conflicts, eventually the two would meet in a water plant, where during a battle melhazar stabbed his duplicate to death and threw him into the river, however his duplicate was able to lock him up in the maelstorm realm temporarily, and his body provided material for the hive to grew out of, thus having a large impact on melhazar even after his death
On-Off[]
- Nergal: Nergal and Melhazar have a long history, and throughout the said history the two had differing relations, as many times they were either allies, or they were enemies, however many times they werent even that involved with each other, however the longest time that the two interacted was during nergal's war against purgatory where melhazar had supported nergal in his invasion, and managed to capture large amounts of important areas, and whilst it is implied that melhazar only helped nergal out of an opportunity to gain power, it is also implied the two had genuine good relations during the purgatory war, however after the war had ended the two had somewhat of a strange relation to one another, and due to issues would not have that many interactions, however melhazar's expansion into the pride ring and support of overlord eventually made nergal see him as a competitor, in the present day the two have a very on-off relation to one another, as sometimes the two are allies and sometimes they are enemies, it is best demonstrated in seasons 2 and 3, where the two of them have differing opinions to one another depending on many factors, however nergal does see melhazar as somewhat of a friend, melhazar most likely only sees him as a business partner, or at times a competitor, and for the most part only supports nergal for personal gains, however it should be noted that nergal does actually see melhazar as a friend and times, and is affable to him
- Belphegor: Melhazar's relations with Belphegor are very similar to melhazar's relations with nergal, as the two are often enemies, and often allies, and although the two do not interact as often, they have a very much mixed relation with one another. Melhazar had supported Narissis many times against Belphegor, and had even took part in protests against him, however melhazar had also supported belphegor many times, including funding some of his projects, and even offering him a partnership. Although, it is very likely and even somewhat implied that melhazar only supports belphegor out of nothing but personal gain.
- Belial †: Although the two did have good public relations, belial had never truly thought of himself as a true friend of Melhazar, instead thinking of him as more of a business-partner. Whilst Belial was a general of nergal's army during the purgatory war, he did look up to melhazar, and was somewhat fond of his war tactics, even adapting some of them, ironically during the war the two would have mostly good relations, with melhazar even considering belial one of the best military leaders of all time, however despite their good relations, belial's death would come indirectly at the hands of melhazar, as during melhazar's mass bombing, belial would be caught in the crossfire, and due to being an angel, melhazar's bio weapon would have the same effect on him as it had on angels, and this would lead to belial departure, as belial's exposure to the chemical had caused him to contract a disease, which would grow worse and worse on him, in 2010 belial had took his own life, for presumably unknown reasons.

Biography[]
Creation[]
Melhazar was one of the earliest beings to be created, being roughly he same age as Lucifer, he was created by Yog-Sothoth and was assigned with the management of the cosmic storms, melhazar not long after that began to take control of large portions of areas, many of which beings the size of several galaxies, Yog not wanting to get into a dispute with God or Heaven, Yog created the Maelstorm realm and had given Melhazar complete control over it, during this time despite being a somewhat malevolent being, Melhazar was allowed into heaven, even seen as someone who brings balance in the cosmos. However Melhazar was not fond of the angels ranking system and their so called holy ideals, he began to look upon them as a inferior beings, and eventually cut ties with them and heaven, although he did keep contact with Lucifer and Samael.
Fall of Lucifer/The Great Wars[]
Although Melhazar no longer wanted to visit heaven and did not keep contact with them, he did still kept contact with Lucifer, Samael and several other angels, even having meetings with them in purgatory. During a meeting with Lucifer, the two actually had somewhat similar views on heaven and their ideas. Lucifer even stating that he might try to seize control of it, Melhazar saw an opportunity in this, and agreed to Lucifer that he would support him in the war, and that he would get parts of heaven if he was indeed successful. Eventually during Lucifer's rebellion against heaven and other wars in hell, this period would be known as "The great wars" Melhazar had a large involvement in the wars, he sided with Lucifer against heaven, Although officially being neutral, he sent supplies and armies to help Lucifer, although he would make several victories using this, he never sent large forces that would be enough for main gains. During a visit from Samael, he was questioned about his involvement and supplies, Melhazar denied any involvement and said that those generals were rouge ones and that he did not command them, even saying he would declare them enemies of him. Samael eventually let him off due to no evidence of his involvement and his personal relations with him.
After lucifer was banished to hell, Melhazar wanted to seize large amounts of territory, and thus joined negotiations with him and the other 6 warlords who would eventually become the princes of hell. Although he did not gain territory, he did gain several high titles as well as a partnership between the two realms. However, due to issues in the Maelstorm realm, he would not show up in hell that often for a while
Genesis[]
After Lucifer's fall and eventual banishment, Melhazar has several dispute issues in the Maelstorm realm, which meant he had to resolve them, some taking months, some even years, and he had little to no time for meetings, during this time period he also began a wrote "codex" of his own, which would later be known as the "Necronomicon" and would contain vast amount of knowledge. During his free time Melhazar was eventually approached by The Devil with an offer, Melhazar eventually accepted it, seeing it as a second chance for him and for lucifer to prove their might, and to possible seize the earth, Melhazar changed his form into an eel-serpent like entity. He stole the Apple of knowledge from Yog-Sothoth, and altered it, after that he tempted Eve into eating it, indirectly causing sin and the "downfall" of humanity.
Quickly after this, Micheal sent cherubs to investigate the garden of Eden and what has happened, eventually it find that someone corrupted humanity using the apple of knowledge, Micheal knew that it must have been done by a powerful being, Eventually Yog-Sothoth was asked to say who would have had access to it, or who could have corrupted it. After a year of investigation, it was found that Melhazar corrupted, and stole the apple. As Punishment, he was banned from leaving the afterlife and his realm by Yog-Sothoth, However his impact on the earth would be far from over.
In Between[]
During the periods between his war against purgatory, and genesis, while there was no major events in hell or the afterlife at the time, he would become a deity on earth for a large amount of time, although he would never come to know about it. In the regions of Babylonia and eastern India, he would be worshipped and offered sacrifices, however only a few attempts to communicate were successful, where he was able to grant knowledge in exchange for sacrifices. In one of the events, he was able to briefly appear before going back to the Maelstorm realm again. The man who saw him would eventually paint him. The painting would later get featured in museums, and later I.M.P Was even hired to steal it, although they were unable to find it.
During this period, Melhazar would also buy farm lands in hell, as well as build dams and began to take a hold on the water industry, by 1300, He would control 60% of Hell's water supplies, And 80% in the pride ring alone, with this he became the overlord of water, although he was friends with most overlords, in the 1500s, an overlord by the name of Infernious arrived in hell, Being an overlord of fire Melhazar saw him as a threat for a small amount of time, However after a week Infernious would give up the title of overlord, becoming a performer in his own theatre to show his talents. Although he would become the overlord of theatre, Infernious was no longer interested in being a ruler, but rather being recognized for his talents. Melhazar even visited his theatre from time to time, and the two somewhat became friends. However this event would cause him to get more paranoid of overlords, eventually paying off several overlords and setting up "puppet overlords" who would support him.
War with Purgatory[]
Not long after Nergal began his war and eventual invasion of purgatory, Melhazar saw a great opportunity to gain land, power and wealth. Although at first Melhazar stayed neutral in the conflicts, when Nergal's force began to make large victories, Melhazar saw that the war would likely in Nergal's favor. He then sent smaller armies to aid Nergal's forces and later began to both supply Nergal and bomb areas of purgatory. Eventually heaven would send a cherub ambassador to question Melhazar about his involvement in the bomb and confront him about the bombings. Melhazar during his meeting with the ambassador stated that he will officially declare war, even calling out heaven for their "flawed" morality. 5 Days after this meeting, Melhazar would give a speech in the maelstorm realm officially declaring war, this speech was broadcasted to both purgatory and hell, some rumoured that even lesser parts of heaven saw the broadcast. Melhazar would now send large armies and continued his bombing of cities on a daily basis, however after Nergal's armies lost at major fronts, he began working on a bioweapon to wipe out his enemies.
During his development of the serum, he engineered it so that him, and his armies were immune to the toxin, eventually deciding to make them target any angels due to the progress of the weapon taking long. Not long after this, his bioweapon would later be completed. He first used it on small scale and conducted tests to improve it. After "perfecting" his bioweapon, he would give a long speech and proclaimed himself "the god of truth", after he speech he would use the bioweapon to wipe several large cities, he combined his weapon with a large hurricane. This would result in the death of thousands if not millions of deaths. After this both him and Nergal gained large amount of territory, taking over 90% of the first rings of purgatory. Eventually, a large portion of fallen angels joined him and Nergal from the second ring, which was taken over easily.
During their attack on the third ring, archangels Raphael, Micheal and Gabriel would come down from heaven to defend the ring, as bringing larger armies. Eventually Melhazar and Gabriel would find themselves in a fight, although Melhazar would win the fight he did admit that Gabriel was able to put up a good fight to him, and somewhat respects him for that. Gabriel managed to escape by flying away, despite melhazars efforts to find him he was unable to. After Nergal and his forces were pushed back, he gave up on the idea of capturing purgatory and negotiated peace with Samael. However Melhazar did not want to stop the war, stating that he was willing to sacrifice millions. Eventually, Nergal offered Melhazar large amounts of money if he accepted the peace. Although the decision was close, Melhazar eventually accepted the deal and pulled his armies out of purgatory, ending the war
Aftermath of The War[]
Not long after the events of the war and Melhazar's withdraw, he used the money to both invest and build more dams in hell, especially the envy and pride rings, and somewhat the gluttony ring. After mining large amounts of Y'or, Melhazar was able to create permanent portals, which he later used to set up water system flowing in-and out of the Maelstorm realm and hell, and built several other water planets, and even energy plants, this solidifying his status as a powerful overlord, and eventually began to give offers to several overlords, and was able to gain several mid-ranking overlords to support him in exchange for either money or power. He eventually offered Beelzebub a large amount of money, and nigh infinite food in exchange for nigh-control of several keys in the gluttony ring, as Beelzebub already had good relations with Melhazar, he accepted the deal and thus Melhazar essentially had semi control over the gluttony ring, and total control over it's water supply. Eventually a overlord arrived in hell and not knowing who Melhazar was, declared war on him, and although he was able to gain small amounts of territory and damaged a few water plants, Melhazar was eventually able defeat him and finished him off, later he gave a speech regarding the events and executed several plans to increase the defenses of his territories and water plants. However his rise as overlord would take time, as he rather lacked territories in the pride ring, however that would soon come to a change
Rise as an Overlord[]
After the events of the war against purgatory, melhazar has begun to see that hell now had many more overlords, some even tried to seize his territories, as he did not have a solid grip on any markets yet, and since he had already begun to construct dams, water filtering systems and power plants, he decided that he would solidify his hold on the water market, however he also knew that he would face attacks, and knowing that he had already supplied some minor overlords, he had decided to team up with stronger ones to set up buffer zones, and to gain more influence, eventually he would team up with pazuzu, who would help him seize large amounts of territory, and was good at taking out enemies, and whilst melhazar was not fond of him torturing others, he was willing to overlook that fact, after a long time melhazar and his allies controlled a large chunk of both the pride and the gluttony rings, even being able to seize parts of the farmlands
However, later on an overlord by the name of moloch would invade the farmlands seized by melhazar, and moloch even told melhazar that infernious is his ally, and that attacking him would mean a conflict, not wanting to cause a greater conflict, melhazar eventually gave up on the farmlands, but enforced a temporarily embargo, after he had solidified is status as an overlord, he would began to develop greater plans
Invasion of Paradise[]
After melhazar had managed to get a solid grip on hell's market, he had another place in mind. Paradise, a forest like alternate reality, while the reality was only the size of australia, it had many valuable resources and was overall a very nice and calm place, and not to mention that paradise practically had no defenders, and no real government barring a few alien like tribes, and thus it was the perfect place for an invasion. After sending in drones to scout the area, melhazar had prepared to invade it, after a meeting with nergal regarding their economic relations, melhazar ordered the bombing of several populated locations, both as a distraction and as a way to gain an advantage, 2 hours after the bombardments, melhazar's invasion officially begins.
At first, melhazar would order the bombing of several important, location, then he could order a naval attack on the south, and would personally attack the realm from the other side, sending many naval soliders and bombings, after their arrival and their sabotage of enemy forces, melhazar would begin his invasion
Season 1[]
During the first season, despite his role being rather small he is implied to be behind many events that occur. He pre planned many conflicts between Sherri Bomb and Sir Pentious, as well as planned to cut supplies of other overlords by hiring I.M.P under the alias of "Baal" to bomb buildings that belong to him, thus justifying the embargo. He also gathers info on Angel Dust under the alias of "Jupiter" and later tries to tempt him into making a deal
During the first episode, he is briefly seen in the opening and then there is a scene with him and an overlord meeting with lucifer, during the meeting they discuss economic situations and exterminations, eventually they agree to set up "safe zones" where exterminators would be kept out, however they also agree to keep those a secret, as to not disrupt the process of exterminations. During Episode 3, He is seen in a meeting with nergal as they discuss plans and economic partnerships eventually the two agreed to a trade deal, eventually discussing the trade plan with the rest of the overlords, however melhazar was not fond of the final agreement, as it would not only disrupt his established trades and contracts with other overlords but would also lead to him essentially giving away free resources, however he did not want to sour relations with nergal, so he began to instead think of a way to undo the trade deals. He realized that according to the contract, a war or a conflict would mean the deal was canceled, however he did not want to declare a major war and thus began to think of a better way. He eventually realized that a false flag attack on him would also count as that and thus he began to stage an "inside job" eventually targeting some of his his less important buildings and HQs, after planning out the attack, He a phone call to I.M.P and presented himself as "Baal" and gave them an order to bomb several of his buildings at specific times in hell, after the attacks have been done he would give a speech a day later explaining the attacks and forcing a temporary embargo on the pride ring barring his water supplies
Not long after his embargo, he would eventually began to make a plan to seize large amounts of areas in hell, however he also plans to use angel dust as advertisement for his water stations, and to gain more popularity. He calls him under the alias of "Jupiter" and pretends to be a tv reporter to gather information on him. Not long after this, he meets with angel dust and convinces him to make a deal which would require him to advertise the water station and jobs there, however it also states that melhazar must not cause direct or indirect damage to him nor his job. In the finale, melhazar is seen talking with nergal about another possible trade plan, however melhazar this time rejects the trade offer with the reason of the the bombing, and because he found this trade deal "unfair"
Season 2[]
During the second season, melhazar's role is much larger, serving as the de-facto main antagonist of the season. Not long after the events of Season 1, Melhazar was able to convince Angel Dust to take his deal, and thus Melhazar used him for several of his advertisement campaigns, lot long after this melhazar would began to expand upon his plans, seeing a way to expand his influence and to expand the influence of his allies, eventually Melhazar and Pazuzu would began to stage a grand plan, which would involve several conflicts between, melhazar also would began to develop a plan to seize control of the pride ring's economy by causing a permanent storm, as he believed it would force his enemies into a surrender, and would began to fully develop both of his plans later on.
During Episode 4, he meets with Sir Pentious, and convinces him to cooperate, as melhazar would have several plans that involved him. After the two finished negotiations, melhazar would supply sir pentious with large amounts of money, weapons and even with smaller legions, as the two would eventually prepare for a large conflict. Seeing the opportunity to take out several of his enemies at once, melhazar would go on to frame several of his enemies, including Alastor, Moloch, Cherri Bomb and many others, however not wanting to start a large conflict melhazar avoiding targeting anyone associated with nergal or terror inc, not long after preparing for the false flag attacks, melhazar declared a 1 week long total embargo, meaning he will cut trades from anyone barring terror inc, however he eventually change that to only 5 days, however melhazar eventually realized that he would not be able to carry out his plan due to him making deals with several people (Sir Pentious, Angel Dust) since his part of the deal included the fact that he would not cause harm to them, and thus he developed a plan to use malhezer as a way to execute his storm plans, and instead began to work more on strategies with pazuzu, eventually after a long time, melhazar went with the decision to cut ties with alastor, however he did feel some regrets, as the two were good friends before the conflict, however after malhezer has failed in causing the storms, melhazar has decided that he outlived his usefulness, and began to work on a plan to assasinate him.
During the middle of the season, melhazar would eventually cancel his deal with angel dust, and negotiated with sir pentious, and after that was now able to carry out his storm plan, eventually he would observe which locations to seize, and made sure that he would not damage areas important to him, began to plan out his storm plan on a map, and eventually simulate it using illusions, after "perfecting" his storm plan, melhazar would began to execute his plans on a smaller scale first, creating small tornadoes over mines and farmlands, after seeing the success of his plans, he was ready to execute them on a larger scale, however he still had to face the problem of his duplicate, and the chance of him going rouge. Melhazar knew that he could not execute his plan while his duplicate was alive, and thus he began planning on a way to kill his duplicate, eventually he decided that he would try to execute him using bioweapons, and if that were to fail that, then he would either use drone strikes or would go on to kill him using the spear of destiny, eventually melhazar explained the plan to pazuzu, who would trick malhezer into a meeting, and then would "go to the bathroom" where he would signal to melhazar to fire his bioweapon, which would be hidden in one of the ceiling lights, the two would began to set up the scheme inside a building, however it was going to take long, and they would have to cover up the constructions in the buildings. During episode 8, Melhazar would prepare for a fight with his duplicate, he would ask I.M.P for information about the power sources and electrical stations of Imp city, after tracking down the major sources of electricity, and after a few hours of planning has seized several of the stations, and in order to gain power he drained the energy from them, this would eventually lead to a large blackout in Imp city, however Terror Inc would take notice of this, and later use a similar strategy in the wrath ring to cover up the disappearance of satan. After draining a large amount of power, melhazar eventually got rid of any evidence that would link him to the blackout and would then track down his duplicate and where he would usually go, after managing to create an accurate map of locations that malhezer would visit, melhazar eventually plants explosives in some of them, and prepares for a drone strike at the end of the episode.
During Episode 9, Melhazar after tracking down his duplicates location prepares to drone strike him on an area laced with explosives, for a large amount of time, melhazar is simply watchin the cameras due to his duplicate being in different locations, however after his duplicate arrived at the target location, melhazar began to fly his drone, and was ready to strike, however when trying to strike, he gets interrupted by a video call from Pazuzu, this would lead to melhazar missing the shot, and although it would cause a large explosion, his duplicate would go on to survive the explosion, thinking it was a strike from the enemy, malhezer would began to prepare for a conflict, however would eventually be forced to make a deal with The Devil, which would eventually cause him to be be trapped in the underworld. Melhazar, after the meeting tries to locate his duplicate his duplicate but is unable to find him, after a while he learns that his duplicate is trapped in the underworld, seeing this Melhazar would prepare his large storm plan, but would first plan to settle any potential disputes from terror inc.
During the finale, melhazar calls Terror inc and eventually learns that nergal was trapped in the sun mask, and is temporarily gone. After learning about this, melhazar would realize that this is the perfect chance to execute his plans, and thus would call a meeting with allies in the mansion, after the meeting the finale scene in Season is about melhazar in his mansion in the Maelstrom Realm, as he looks over a window into a foggy storm, the shot would later change to a reflection of his face, and melhazar would return in Season 3 as the Main/Primary Antagonist
Season 3[]
After the events of season 2, melhazar had began to develop a final plan to execute his duplicate once and for all, after telling pazuzu and many of his henchmen, after tracking down malhezer's location, melhazar and his henchmen hide and look for him, melhazar using radio communications tells his henchmen to hire if his duplicate arrives, however melhazar is not able to watch out for his duplicate all day, as he needs to attend important meetings, however before leaving he tells his henchmen to fire at anyone who resembles him, and although his henchmen are able to spot the duplicate and shoot him, the duplicate manages to win against them, killing many and forcing the rest to retreat
In episode 3, Melhazar had finished building the trap base, and tells pazuzu about his perfected plan, after a brief meeting, pazuzu calls melhazar's duplicate into a meeting,but in the middle of it escapes using a backdoor, after pazuzu left the building, melhazar uses a bioweapon he developed to kill his duplicate, after filling the room with the toxin, his duplicate loses consciousness temporarily, due to the camera in the building, this lead melhazar to think that he had managed to kill his duplicate, after this makes an unofficial celebration, however unknown to him his duplicate had actually survived, and during the post credit scene goes into hiding. Melhazar, during episode 4 can be briefly seen in the house of asmodeus, where he is having a conversation with asmodeus
After thinking that he had dealt with his duplicate, he began to expand on his storm plan, as he planned to cause large hurricanes and tornadoes, however this time he also had planned to demolish several important buildings, which under rigged contracts would be rebuild under his name, as well as seize the farmlands once and for all, he had also planned to install several of his "puppet overlords" as managers or leaders of several markets that he would seize, both to make his allies stronger, and to set up buffer zones, melhazar knew that the plan wasnt going to be easy to execute but he knew that this was his time, as the majority of his enemies were weak, after the planning the begun to carry out his plan, first by causing mid sized tornadoes in the farmlands, at first most of them were relatively small, he began to make them bigger as the days went on, many of which destroyed smaller towns and forests. He had also begun to slowly cause larger and larger wings near the cities, eventually causing smaller windstorms, during episode 8, he had caused a large hurricane in several cities in the pride ring, and whilst the damage was minimal, large fogs would it difficult to navigate in the city, however after the storm was over, melhazar was informed of an attack on one of his bases. After seeing the camera footage, melhazar realized that he once again failed to kill his duplicate. Deciding that he had enough, he planned to kill his duplicate in a fight once and for all.
However, his storms were recognized as attacks by many overlords, with the two most known being valentino and alastor, who after melhazar's many storms, declared him and enemy. Terror inc and nergal, however stayed neutral in the conflict, as they saw an opportunity to take out 2 of their strongest enemies at once Melhazar after hearing about it, modified his plan to finish all of his enemies off, and thus begun preparing both a battle and a large storm, which he begun to create in the farmlands, after melhazar made the storm powerful enough, he had put the large storm on a path, after a few days the storm had hit several cities, including the northern parts of pentagram city, the storm would also cause a "lightning tornado" and large floods in many areas, and whilst it did damage parts of his enemies bases, it also caused damage to some of hs own bases and locations.
In episode 13/The Finale, Melhazar had finnally managed to track down his duplicate, and after a plan had brought the spear of destiny, after ambushing his duplicate in a power plan, the two eventually begun to fight, and whilst the battle for the most part was a stalemate, melhazar is eventually able to shock his duplicate using his electric powers, and while his duplicate was distracted, melhazar had repeatedly stabbed him using the spear of destiny. However, before melhazar impales him, his duplicate had created a portal to the maelstorm realm, and kicked melhazar in. Before being impaled and falling into the river, his duplicate permanently closes the portal, thus trapping melhazar in the maelstorm realm
Season 4[]
During Season 4, Melhazar appears only during the post credits scene, where he comes out of a portal in his energy form, and forms as a large eel-skull that is made out of a green electricity like material, however melhazar is mentioned several times by Nergal, Alastor, Pazuzu and many others, it has also been confirmed that melhazar would return for Season 5, presumably as the main antagonist
Helluva Boss: Rise of I.M.P[]
Whilst minor, he does make an appearance in Helluva Boss: Rise of time, during the second act, blitzo attends a speech given my melhazar, where he mentions that he was able to return from the maelstorm realm, and that he will gain back any possible lost and, and that he will expand his water supply systems, he is also mentioned several times during the movie

Powers and Abilities[]
Melhazar is said and shown to be one of the most powerful non-angelic demons, he is described by some as the "Ruler of all storms" for his weather control powers and was able to create a large wind twister that surrounded entire cities, and was implied to be able create storms the size of entire planets, and is shown to be on par with lucifer, nergal and even micheal. It is also said that he is one of the most influential overlords in hell, due to his hold on the water market
Abilities[]
- Dark Magic: As an Overlord of hell,Melhazar is immensly skilled in the use of oscure magic,wich guarantee him an almost unlimited controll over electricity and weather,making him able to create storms capable of devastating entire planets. This extremely potent magic makes him rise as one of the most powerfull demons,if not the most powerfull,easly rivaling in terms of power with Lucifer,Nergal and Michael themself.
- Immortality/Resurrection: As a demonic being he is immune to aging and the effects of time itself, and can only be killed by holy weapons, he can also resurrect himself from the dead if his name is invoked, this does include some of his aliases, however the name has to be form variation of "Melhazarpheles", he also usually is resurrected using rituals, however melhazar was able to record himself saying his name over and over which is set to play on repeat in one of his rooms in his castle, essentially giving himself infinite resurrections, he is also immune to most effects of time, despite being thousands of years old, he has the body and looks of someone in their 30s.
- Electrokinesis: Melhazar can manipulate electricity and it's energy, being able to cause lightning strikes as well as create electric blats, and even E.M.P fields, even being able to control the radiowaves of the electricity, as well as its strength and being able to change its size, shape, color and even its mass, he is also able to absorb electricity as shown with him absorb the power from imp city, as well as being able to nullify electricity or conduct it, and although he could get shocked or struck by electricity, he is most likely able to avoid it as he has nigh complete control over said element, as shown with his current body he is also able to make it into a nigh-solid material and avoid it conducting or shocking others, he was also said to able to change it to other forms such as a liquid and a smoke like state. And at last , Melhazar can ,for a small amount of time, create a powerfull tornado of lighting and thunder.
- Atmokinesis: Melhazar is able to manipulate the weather, and has been worshipped and imagined as a weather deity by many, he is able to change the speed of the wind to very high/fast speeds, and is able to slow it down too, he is able to cause hurricane like storms as well as fogs, and was even able to cause a "lightning tornado" for a small amount of time, although he is able to create tornadoes he has have a hard time controlling them, and prefers to cause hurricanes. He is able to create fogs and clouds of smoke as well, this can go from small to large, thin to thick and is even able to control the shapes of said smoke, and using the speeds of the wings is even able to cause the drop of temperatures, as shown with him causing a semi blizzard, however despite the implications, he does not have control over water, nor is he able to cause raining, he is able to control the oceans located in the maelstorm realm and is implied to be able to spawn storms capable of erase entire worlds.
- Demonic Transformation: Melhazar has the ability to transform into a stronger state if he invokes his full name in reverse, and he needs to charge up on a certain amount of energy/electricity to be able to transform, however he can only do this once a year and he will be weakened for a short time after he changes back into his normal form, he has described this as "temporary power drain" of him. In this form he is able to convert kinetic energy to electricity much like in his normal form, however he is now able to directly absorb energy and is able to even generate it at a rate, his attacks also seem to be more potent, however absorbing too many energy at one causes him to have a temporary loss of coordination, most of the time when melhazar is in this form, he usually wears a golden helmet and a dark grey-blueish armour, which has been implied to have similar energy-absorbing abilities, however it has not been confirmed
- Supernautral Abilities: Melhazar is both shown and said to be extremely strong, have fast reflexes and be very agile, he is able to lift up a lot of weight, compared to both the average demon in hell, and even compared to strong ones, and has been shown to have nigh-perfect reflexes, being able to react to a single water droplet and was said to have the best reflexes in hell, he is also very fast, although no-where near the fastest demons, he is able to outrun any human, as he can run up to 50KMPH, however that was the fastest he ever run at, usually his running speed is around 35-40 KMPH.
- Showmanship: Melhazar is a master manipulator and is able to appeal to others, he is able to trick others and has great social and conversational skills, being able to change the topics or deflect questions, as well as being able to give speeches, he is able to deceive many, however his skills arent only to deceive others, as he does regard himself as a "gentleman" , and wants to act as one, he is generally calm and almost never shows wrathful traits, even having respect for gabriel, as he was able to stand up to him.
- Non-Corporeal Body: Melhazar was able to get rid of his physical body, this time being made out of pure energy, he is able to change his forms and size and is virtually immune to damage, however he was able to change the colours of the energy, thus being able to retain his looks, he is also able pass through solid objects, including walls and floors, however he is also able to stay in a semi solid state, as he was shown to be able to interact with solid matter
- Eldritch Soul: Melhazar's very soul is otherworldly, as even though he is capable of physical death, death is merely a transition to him, while his physical body can die, his soul only gets transported into a higher dimension, and is eternal.
- Planetary Destruction: During a flashback scene, melhazar has shown himself to be able charge up on large amounts of energy and was able to use the energy to destroy a moon of the maelstrom realm that was roughly the size of the planet neptune
Weaknesses[]
- Holy/Angelic Weapons: One of Melhazar's only weakness is the fact that despite his immortality and resurrection skills, much like most demons or fallen angels, he is able to killed using Holy or angelic weapons, although he can is able to endure much more damage than the average sinner/demon in hell is able to, he is able to regrow entire lost limbs, and even major stabs, and most lower class weapons, such as those used by the exterminators are unlikely to inflict major damage on him, and can usually only be done with special weapons, eldritch weapons such as the spear of destiny, or the trident of azathoth are also able to damage him, however his resurrection and regeneration skills give him nigh-complete immortality
- Illusions: One of Melhazar's greatest weaknesses is that fact that he could be tricked with illusions, although he is usually able to tell what is real and what is not, the average illusioner such as alastor or satan is not able to trick him, someone who is able to create strong and nigh-realistic illusions such as the devil is most likely able to, even nergal to some extend, although he can usually tell if it is fake or not, very few can trick him using illusions
