~ Melony's first word as a human.
Melony Melone is a major protagonist in the 2011 Australian adult-animated sitcom web series SMG4.
Melony was originally an apparently sentient watermelon with Meggy Spletzer's headgear. Melony first appeared in SMG4 Christmas 2019: Mario Alone and was used as a replacement to Meggy once SMG4's Gang left for vacation and (reluctantly) left Mario behind due to him oversleeping.
Melony shows up a second time in the episode called I Can't Believe It's Not SMG4! as one of the members of SMG3's Anti-Cast/Snitchy Squad in The YouTube Arc, becoming one of the secondary antagonists. During this time, Melony lacked agency (originally assumed as due to being an inanimate watermelon, but thanks to her transformation, it's likely she was just asleep most of the time) and is affected and carried by the members but is sentient.
In SMG4: Mario's Mask Of Madness, she is transformed into a human by the Fierce Deity Mask. In this forms, she retains her hacking skills and developed swordsmanship skills, but is commonly lazy and sleepy.
She is voiced by Kayleigh Smyth, better known by her Internet persona Wolfychu. Her singing voice is provided by Hackerling.
SMG4 Christmas 2019: Mario Alone - Melony appeared as a minor character.
S̶M̶G̶4̶:I Can't Believe It's Not SMG4! - Melony showed up as a supporting character and the counterpart of Meggy.
SMG4: Mario VS Youtube - Melony appeared as a main character.
SMG4: Deleted - In SMG4: If Mario Was In... Splatoon: Melony appeares and stops Mario from watching Callie and Marie's broadcast, which is what would have motivate Mario to join Splatfest and find a team, which would settle in coming to her, by not succeeding on his head and making him get knocked out.
SMG4: War of the Fat Italians 2020: Melony faces Tari in Round 4 where she beats the Meta Runner by doing nothing in a cooking competition, later, she beats Luigi in Round 6 when watching Axol's anime "Two Piece" where she fell in love with Watermelon-kun. In the Rap Battle, she and the rest of the Anti-Cast realizes SMG3's true intentions towards them and betrays him to join SMG4's gang.
SMG4: Mario's Mask Of Madness: Melony is turned into a human anime girl when Fierce Deity's mask is thrown at her, during the rest of the video she is trying to sleep with tons of failures awaiting her. She helps her creator save Meggy from the curse of the Mario mask with her hacking skills before going back to sleep; finally, she is seen refusing to send the mask back to the Happy Mask Salesman.
SMG4: Meggy's Part-Time Job: Although she does not appear physically, she is seen in one of Meggy's fantasies when thinking on someone to help her babysitting JubJub.
Abilities & Powers[]
Melony is very skilled when it comes to hacking according to SMG3 in SMG4: Mario VS Youtube but as a inanimate watermelon, Melony isn't living and is unable to work a computer. This melon hacks anyway of course, because melons obliviously don't care about the opinions of humans what's out of question.
After becoming human, she retains her hacking skills, and develops skill with a sword.
Physical Appearance[]
Melony is melon and just like watermelons in real life, it doesn't have arms nor legs. Melony appears to have on headphones that look similar to Meggy's, and has a red hat that looks just like Meggy's red hat.

Trivia[]
Before her name was revealed to be Melony, fans dubbed her as Melly, likely as a reference to Meggy Spletzer, as well as possibly being a fusion of melon as her original form and the former.
Melony is the second food item to be created into a character and be used as one.
Despite being created by Mario, Melony herself has existed for 81 years prior to her debut in the series.
She is able to summon the Sword of Fierce Deity Mask.
