Michael Afton is the main antagonist of the YouTube series, An Undeniably Canon Five Nights At Freddy's Timeline. He serves as the secondary antagonist of Part 1, the villainous deuteragonist of Part 2, the main antagonist of Part 3 and will return in some capacity in the soon to be Part 4.

He is William Afton's eldest son and former right-hand man. Unlike his canon counterpart, who was grey-zoned, but still had good intentions, this version of Michael Afton is a sarcastic and unstable individual who has much more villainous intentions. He is also one of the enemies of his sister, Elizabeth Afton (alongside Molten Freddy, another one of Michael's enemies) and the arch-nemesis of Ferdinand Von Bernard.

In Part 1 and 2 he was voiced by The ooftroop, who also voiced William in Part 1. In Part 3 onwards he is voiced by Bonk Boy/kevciaran

Personality[]

Michael is a very delusional individual. Due to years of isolation from his family and not being a social person, Michael craves approval from his father William (up until realizing this respect was more one-sided). He is also very corrupt, as he openly blackmailed Henry with the threat of violence and helped shut down Henry's first solo pizzeria. He shows little care for Elizabeth compared to the original, as they are currently enemies and he only went to help her because he thought William would approve.

He is also a very good engineer and a talented businessman, both of which he demonstrates as the series goes on. Although his relationship with his father, sister, and mother are undeniably toxic, he seemed to have a good relationship with his brother, the Crying Child (although whether they are related is debatable).

History[]

Origins[]

Michael is the eldest child of William Afton and Eleanor Schmidt, who got divorced when he and Elizabeth were kids. Throughout childhood, Michael has shown himself to be somewhat unstable and constantly screamed at his younger brother (though the brother would state he never existed) for cheating and beating him in UNO. At one point he and his friends accidentally killed the brother after he got mad at them for putting him in the mouth of Fredbear during a prank, causing Jeremy Fitzgerald II (Michael's friend) to hit him on the head with a chair.

When visiting his brother in the hospital, the boy told Michael that he never existed, before fusing with Michael and turning him paler. After this, Michael trashed his Foxy mask and took up engineering on William's orders.

Part 1[]

Coming home from college after a decade, Michael is greeted by William, who decides to use Michael to defeat Henry for good. Worried that Michael would be killed by the animatronics, William traps him in a chamber filled with Nightmare Animatronics to test Michael. This leads to Michael nearly being killed by Ferdinand Von Bernard (who wanted to get back at William) after which, William gaslights Mike about it being a dream before coercing him to get a job as a security guard for Fazbear Entertainment. Once Michael accomplishes this, William orders him to sabotage the animatronics AI to use for William's future goals. Michael didn't trust this, though, and made the animatronics more aggressive to challenge himself. This caused the smell of the dead bodies hidden in the robots to get on him and is fired for body odor by Henry, sparking a personal grudge. Before leaving, Michael does as William asked and sabotaged the animatronics to spite Henry.

Part 2[]

Michael is seen at the beginning of the video when Henry arrives at the Afton household. He confronts Henry for firing him in the past before telling him that William left to vandalize Henry's house (In reality breaking into the latest pizzeria).

Later, Michael learns from a commercial that interrupted his favorite soap opera, Immortal and the Restless that Henry seized control of his father's company, Afton Robotics, LLC. He walks into the kitchen to wait out the commercial and learns from a to-do note that William left on the fridge that Michael's sister, Elizabeth was possessing Circus Baby. Delusional believing that William requested him to do this, Michael threatens Henry into giving him a job with the Funtimes. Michael arrives and is manipulated by Circus Baby before being killed and possessed by Ennard (an amalgamation of the Funtimes) before they left his corpse shortly after they escaped. Before leaving, Circus Baby gave him remnant to prevent Michael from dying, all while Michael had no idea what was happening.

Now in control of his decaying body, Michael was shunned by the public for his disturbing appearance. This led to Michael's sanity slipping and desperately wanting to locate and impress William to feel loved. To fix his appearance, Michael engineered his fridge to regenerate his organs which he worked on for a few years and regrew some of his organs, but he didn't know which ones. He then got a job at a new trap pizzeria opened by Henry as the manager. He then proceeds to light Molten Freddy's full Seinfeld DVD boxset on fire and started feuding with Scrap Baby (Circus Baby after being kicked out of Ennard), becoming a rival to both of them. While working, Michael reconciles with William and is mad that William doesn't want to spend time with him. He proceeds to electrocute William and leaves him with Henry. Later, Henry activates the trap and engulfs the pizzeria in flames. Michael narrowly escapes and proceeds to purchase Fazbear Entertainment and steal a data chip from Afton to begin his new plan to gain power and respect and create a more loving William.
